In the hood we don’t need more “studios” or “gym’s” to play ball. We need more resources where kids could see there’s more out there than being a drill rapper or going to the pros…both are flashy and ideally cool, but imagine if community centers taught kids how to write resumes, teach the kids real estate, stocks, how to tie a tie, computer / financial literacy. How to budget. Accounting skills. Learning different trades (welding, plumbing, HVAC, engineering) etc. That’s what will help the community grow. I know people hate hearing positive solutions, but that’s the truth 💯
Those are all great ideas… where do you think we should start ? What are some of the biggest obstacles you see that prevents us from getting or providing these type of resources?
@@DREAAMBASKETBALL I think you have to just meet with local officials/city council members. And identify the problem in each hood. Everywhere would be different. Get local government involved so you could get the proper grants/funding. Once the community sees that there will people who would want to partake or help out in getting that up and running. The getting the people at the top to buy into these ideas & projects…That will always be an obstacle. I believe some would think it’ll be a waste of resources/time, but if you have enough people that think it’ll be helpful or resourceful it’ll be hard to turn down the idea.
