    63 yrs old, been changing my oil my whole life. Recently bought the 23 RX350h, same motor as yours. Tried to use my ramps and they were to tall. I’m also one that likes to drop the oil on a new car around 3k - 5k KM. However, if you plan on driving the vehicle for 10 plus years, I would not follow recommended oil change intervals. I would do Half of what they recommend….so if they say 15,000km, change the oil at 7k. Or at 50% oil life if your car has this feature.

    Great video!
    Few suggestions for folks trying to do it yourself:
    1. Open the drain plug first, not filter.
    2. After oil starts to flow, open the hood and open the oil add cap and leave the cap on without tightening. It will help oil drain better.
    3. Then loosen and take out the filter.
    4. Definitely get a new oil plug gasket.
    Thanks again for the video, in changed oil many times on other vehicles and wanted to see if there are any peculiarities with nx350h.

    This is by far the best oil change instruction video I've seen. The instructions are clear, concise, and the video quality is awesome.
    Do you know what size the drain bolt crush washer is? Also, I believe you said the drain bolt should be tightened to 15ft/lb of torque. I've seen on websites that specifies 30ft/lb. Could you confirm which is accurate? Thanks in advance!

      @ronleczner3646 14 днів тому

      Up to you to use 0W20. FYI, my owner's manual for 2024 RX350h says only use 0W20 in emergency and change to 0W16 next oil change. Maybe check your manual but probably no big deal either way.

      @@ronleczner3646 I spoke to cab drivers. They mostly use 0W20, any brand and not hybrid specific. 0W16 is hard to find in 5 qt bottles. 0W16 can only be better in very cold climates. Hi mate thanks for all these videos made for Lexus Nx350h. My concerns about buying a Hybrid car is its battery replacement cost. I am sure that you did a research about it before making decision to buy your Lexus nx350 H, so could share your findings as is it still worth to buy a Hybrid car based on its future battery replacement cost or not. You could make a video for it. Look forward to get your response. Thanks

    • @carswithsonduren
      @carswithsonduren  Рік тому +1

      Yes it still makes sense, the battery has a 10 year warranty and if you look at replacements for the Prius for example it’s like $3,000 for an aftermarket battery.

    • @SaeedSardari
      @SaeedSardari Рік тому +1

      @@carswithsonduren Cheers for it but warranty does not mean when it comes the battery performance getting weak after 4 or 5 yrs. • @carswithsonduren

      @SaeedSardari if I read this correctly, the warranty should cover the battery for 70% effectiveness of the charge. Aftermarket solutions are now delivering even higher mileage than OEM like the Prius for example. I wouldn’t worry to much about this IMHO.

More over the Torin jack is indented for use up to 1,5 tons, where the NX weights approx 1,8 tons for the 350 and 2,2 tons for the 450+ version. Is there a mistake somewhere?
