Guyton is very good. She’s been coming on strong. But the team sucks at FTs shooting less than 50%. They’ve lost several games with terrible FY shooting.
Losing what could be the best women's basketball player in history will set the team back quite a bit. Caitlin bailed this team out of a lot of close games the last couple years. They don't have that type player this year unfortunately

I watched Iowa play and I can't find a leader on the floor. Girls passing up open shots, I guess lack of confidence . Pass Pass Pass , Pass up shots looking for layups. Teams are jamming up the paint, its frustrating to watch, No Kate Martin leadership, No Caitlin Clark intensity . Where is the full court press to throw off the opposition team? Down 20 and coach puts in 4 freshwomen and they start making a comeback, unleash the dogs please, push the other team to make mistakes, Come On
Ya, that sucks and all but I'm excited about 4 out of the 5 freshmen. They're going to be something special. And with what's coming in next year the future looks bright. With that being said the vets definitely a having CC hangover. Without these freshmen they'd really be lost.
Ava Heiden is not dominating enough as a tall player. Iowa can have as many talented guards as they want, but unless they recruit at least one dominating tall forward/center, they won't be competitive on the national stage again.
You can't lose that much talent and change head coaches and not expect a rebuilding year. They're fine. Jensen is the right coach. They just need to recruit better.

I watched this game. I’m not sure why this wasn’t mentioned but the score was 77 end of regulation and they went to OT. Iowa then proceeded to play some of the worst basketball I’ve seen. They missed tons of free throws, couldn’t make hardly any field goals and forget about threes. Nebraska slowly got a bucket here and then made free throws and Iowa had no answer. It was pathetic to be honest. Was it a coaching issue? I don’t know. Nebraska was in foul trouble and 2 of their players had to go out on fouls. And Iowa still couldn’t make it happen. It just made me lose hope for any sort of run at all this season, they just don’t have what it takes right now.
Guyton missed a key shot at the end, a layup. Olsen won't play in the WNBA. She's seems to be a wonderful person though. No one can be relied upon to take the game into her own hands. Addy O'Grady cannot jump, she stands.

What’s the difference? Dawn Staley attracts a couple of top recruits and brings in a bunch of hired guns through the portal. Not saying that’s good or bad. Just the way it is.
The Fizz has gone out of the team. The good news is the Freshman are fearless. If they would have hit their free-throws they would have won. You can't win if you can't hit the baskets.

She's a freshmen, .. sheesz .. for awhile, she was knocking down 3 pointers, one after another. She’s awesome. Iowa, .. yeah, there’s echoes, in that arena. Bluder retiring, with Caitlin leaving too. Lucy, as far as I know isn’t being criticized for not being Caitlin .. but, the effect, that she’s feeling .. ? .. She seems like a very positive force, regardless. A curiosity .. why not have Stuelke and O’Grady in, at the same time? Iowa's got some up & coming freshmen, too.
Ppl fail to realize the big ten conference is tough ,iowa had close losses and against ranked teams (only exception was illinois ,who beat indiana )they are in a slump ,yes but they have enough talent to get out of it and forge ahead despite mick and his ramblings
I have been waiting for you to puff your chest out about Lucy. I’m still here ten toes down standing on business of my evaluation of her skills & she’s still just as good as Paige. So, if Paige is a top 10 1st rd pick so is Lucy. I actually know ball so I know every player goes thru rough patch during every season so I know not run at the first sign of trouble. I’m actually glad she’s going thru this little roughy patch now to get it out of the way plus it will shows what shes made of. Lucy & the team will come thru this just fine. Just make sure you stay on that other side I don’t like flip floppers & bandwagon hoppers. I have seen your opinions change like the wind 😂 I’m sorry but it’s not over so we will see at the end of the year but congrats for patting yourself on the back early for one of your many bad takes & player evaluations you have 👏 Never count your chicken before they hatch my friend 😂
They really need to make free throws. I think it was 2 minutes into the 5 minute overtime before either team made a bucket from the field, so many fouls were called! Nebraska took the lead by making their free throws while Iowa missed theirs. I thought they said Iowa shot 50% from the charity stripe? Hard to win close games. They battled back to get the game within three, but it was a sad loss for sure. They lost a bid lead in the 4th.
Iowa has been in literally almost in ever game, so no, it's not the End of the World. Addison "Addie" Deal their five-star basketball recruit who committed to play for the Iowa women's basketball team will hush all the doubters. Plus this year's Freshman will be seasoned. Jenson and CC should be heavily going after Aaliyah Chavez.
ROLE PLAYERS & SMALL !!! Iowa is built with an ALPHA leading the way. Thats it. OLSEN IS GREAT. She isn't Caitlin but is capable of scoring 30 anytime. ANd she needs to be like that, and demand the ball and keep taking the lead. Then the rest of the team can be open and make their shots. #easy
Overrated Villanova player that we got seniors Sydney play 30 minutes she's a guard each game she scores 5 Points 10 points 8 points 6.7 points put in the rookies East Coast that she was going to ride on the seniors they getting beat by good teams overtime or not bench the starting 5 Stokke Olsen the rest needs to set the bench but this coach ain't going to do it she will continue to lose before starting five put in the rookies

They are playing some good games, but don't seem to be a unit 'yet'. Turnovers and missed FTs are killing them.
