This is ancient but new, the more I listen to his music the more I realize that the man is a master of bending melody with such control as to eliminate the possibility of redundancy or repeat something we've already heard. I haven't been this impressed in years with a composer. Clever, without seeming pretenscious. The term genius is over used these days, but on him I'd say, it fits.
This is an arrangement by Lisa Gerrard and Patrick Cassidy. The original Slow Dawn did not contain the duduk, the duduk here is played by Levon Minassian, I'm not entirely sure however. This is my favorite piece of music, of all time, for the rest of my life. It has exactly the same wavelength as what I feel default in my heart of hearts. I wake up to this every morning, it's on my phone's alarm. And no, I'm a lively type guy...lol.
