Ducklife 'Morning release into back yard in real time, One by one by Nine' Midwinters Yule 2024 Aus

I like to release them by hand one at a time in the morning. It gives me the opportunity to say a proper good morning to each with a big hug, feather ruffle and kiss on the top of each of their noggins. They can easily jump out of their office beds but they to also like our little morning routine. In duck management it also helps me to govern their behaviors somewhat in the order that I release them in.

We are coming to a close of midwinter tide and the start of Springs Imbolc, the time of warming earth and frost... I will pop out a few of these diary's with aim to post more garn content either on the 1st of Oct or earlier/if time permitting... Springs Imbolc in my cultural tradition is a time of purifying and the stirring of life/new beginnings, which mean a whole lot of cleaning, playing in the greenhouse, observing nature, white and green, fire and ice...
