Tips for tank nails: You chose wisely to rinse with alcohol before filling the tanks. All that cured gel will want to grab on to your glitters, but alcohol will help. Next time, add like half the oil to the thank first, give it a swirl around to really coat the inside with that slippery layer, and then add glitter into the oil, then add your large pieces. You want a bubble in the oil to help stir things around in the closed tip. I also recommend you prep all your tip closures before you start filling any of the nails. These turned out amazingly gorgeous, congrats on trying (and wildly succeeding at) such an advanced technique!
These r super cute!! I think the issue with the glitters not moving is the nail glue that attached the cover nail. If it cures with a sticky layer anything put inside will stick to it. No wipe top coat or rhinestone glue is best. I've tried soo many aquarium nails lol I finally got it 😊 I hope that helps. 😊💙💗💖
Awww I love these and the stickers are adorable! I think you were missing the bubble needed but honestly everyone I have seen try aquarium nails have needed a few attempts to really get them as they wanted and for your first try I thought these were amazing. I could feel your stress when the oil was getting everywhere so well done for keeping calm and getting through it. You should be proud they look really cute and again look how far you have come in your skills - you’re doing amazing ❤❤😊😊
Just a quick little comment- when you’re done using your acrylic brush don’t put it back in that plastic tube- the monomer will melt the plastic and it will stick to your brush and ruin it 😬. Also, I’ve not tried aquarium nails yet, but I wonder if those clay flowers are just big enough that they are acting as “stoppers” and not letting the glitter flow freely? Honestly I think you did much better than most of us would have, especially with your first try 😊and I hope you don’t mind my unsolicited input. Loving your videos, commentary and designs so far! ❤
OMG YOURE THE BEST! I literally ran to my desk and took my brush out of the plastic tube 😭💖💜🩷💙🩵 I DONT WANNA RISK IT!! I think you're totally right about the clay flowers 😅😂 THANK YOU SO MUCHHH 🥰✨️💖💜🩷💙🫶
a tip for aquarium nails is to ALWAYS make sure there’s a decent sized air bubble! the air bubble will push the glitters and things around. (learned from mooyahyah, she does aquarium nails a lot!)
We need a part 2 to this video. I’ve been binge watching I’m gonna go back to video 1 and watch a the way through to see your progression from day 1 to now.
Here’s what worked for me… I left the base of the nail open and sealed the nails together at the tip and sides with acrylic. I cut the full cover tip at it’s base so it started at the apex. I then stuck a toothpick in to keep the two nails separated when I added acrylic to the sides to seal the nails / create the chamber (I hope that makes sense). Anyway- I had a large space open to add glitter, etc. When I sealed up the nail - the “bulge” where I added extra clear acrylic to close the seal was at the apex and I feathered the acrylic up the nail. Also - like your design - you can add glitter / colored acrylic to the base to camouflage the area where the 2 nails meet. Another tip is to add a little oil before the glitter so the glitter doesn’t get stuck on the bottom of the chamber and leave a small air bubble to make it easier for everything to move. Hope that helps and that you give aquarium nails another try. Love your channel!!! 😊
WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! These are amazing instructions!! I'm going to try to follow them the next time I do aquarium nails! I took a screenshot 😊🫶 You're the best 💗💗💗💗
Loved the nails. The clay flowers were too big so they stopped the glitter from moving. I would suggest some caviar beads in with the glitter and just a little less oil. The air bubble is what helps move the glitter and the caviar beads help since they're heavier. Loved the finished result! Congrats on your first set!
The whole point of an acid primer is the acid etches the nail. If you are using an acid-free primer, it doesn't etch the nail. Acid-free primer is like double sided sticky tape. Acid primer actually makes tiny holes in the nail. Your nails look amazing. I love the pink.

A tip to keep your brush clean…. After you apply your bead clean your brush as soon as you apply the bead It cleans off the acrylic that didn’t combined with the bead That’s how they taught us in nail school but that was back in the early 2000’s 😂 things have probably changed but I continue to do the same techniques I learned in beauty school and I never have a problem with my brush. Also make sure you clean your brush frequently and another tip your brush loves monomer 😂 monomer is a brushes best bud 😂

Love this set so much. They are,so cute. I haven’t see your technique before. I tried the dash nail technique where you put a thin gel on a piece of plastic and then you put your tip 9n then cure it. I did it with mixing gel and it works the same way as her gel. You should try that technique too. Emily Susanne just ride out the kit you can buy from dash. I think it’s expensive so I tried some other things and they worked just fine. I used mixing gel for one hand and just a regular building gel for the other just make sure they are nonstick if not you can cure the back first then clean with alcohol then add the tips with a little gel on the sides. I think it’s the simplest way I’ve seen aquarium nails being done so far. Sorry for the book I’ve just written 😂 i honestly think of you try the technique you will continue to do them that way.

Super cute! I think if you put a bit less liquid in next time, it will help things move. You need a little space for the liquid to move. Like, think of a snow globe - they're never completely full.

Hi Anne! First, super cute nails as usual, and second the next time you do aquarium nails try to put some tiny stones, I saw that the weight helps to move the glitter.
i haven't done an aquarium set, but in my experimentation, solid gel might be a better for closing off the top. it's a quicker overall process and less of a mess imo. instead of a big syringe, try getting one of the small needled one, it should make the oil process easier. another thing i've seen is people creating the tank first and then applying them to nail and going from there but that seems like some advanced stuff. 🤔 "advice" aside, this set is so gorgeous esp with how frustrated you seemed. i actually really really enjoyed the aesthetic pre-stickers but the stickers add another level of cute to it. 🖤
Wow! All of that advice is perfecccttt 🥰💗💗 I'm literally going to screenshot it so I remember for next time I do it 😋 You're the best, thank you so muuuchhh 🥰💗🩷💖
Aquarium nails are blooming difficult hun, these look great. I've done a few sets of them now and I've had as many failures as successes, the last ones I attempted I gave up on entirely, so you did better than me there lol ❤
@smudj7558 aww, thank you for the encouragement 💕 you're the best 💗💗💗🥹 It makes it harder to give up when you already spent 5 hrs filming it, ngl 😂 so don't feel bad 💕💕💕
I think your glitter isn't moving bc the nail glue you used to put the top nail on has a sticky layer and the glitter is sticking to it. You need to use something without the sticky layer... And you DON'T need a bubble for the glitter to move
Hi Anne, i watched your viedo, and i noticed you used the Betty Cora nail glue, i have the same products, and it has a tacky feel after curing , that could be why nothing moved. Nail glue that is no wipe would work better. I love your video's ❤❤❤❤❤❤
These are very cute but next time make sure you have all your caps ready to go before you start filling them. The first time I tried them it took 2 hours to do 1 so you have done so well, keep up the good work xx
Beautiful set... Was the nail glue non stick? And maybe next time cut them down a tad with nail tip cutters it could help with the hole size. And maybe a little less oil.
Hair guess - bleaching all the way up to the root and doing a blend of pink and purple throughout the hair. Or maybe that’s my hair wish for you, not guess. Hahah. I had some version of blue or purple hair for the last 7.5 years. Last year I made a big investment in a major colour correcting service (to return to a more natural and low maintenance colour) with an amazing stylist. I loved the transformation, but now I miss my people hair. 😭 😂 I had an appointment with her today for a refresh and we talked about colour. She suggested pastel, as it would be easier to remove. But I don’t know. I’ve always had rich vibrant tones, so I don’t know if I could even pull off a pastel.
LMAO not going to lie, it's not what I was going for but it might end up being what happens 😂💜💗🩷💜 BUT I TOTALLY GET MISSING COLOR!!! That's why I said I was going to grow my natural hair out and not bleach it, because I was soooo tired of the maintenance. But then I missed having a full head of color so much 😭 And gurl, i believe in you to pull off pastel 😤 Even if you didn't like it, it's like you said, it comes out easily and then you can go back to natural orrr go bright 😊✨️💜💙🩵
@@AnneElizabethNails the nice thing about the vibrant colours is that they fade to pastel 🙈 I chopped a ton of hair off so that I can hopefully get it to a state where it could handle another colour removal. When that happens, I’ll probably go back to bright!
@MandyRoy425 you're totally right!!! 😆🩷💗❤️🫶 I honestly don't know if I'll ever be able to be happy natural again 😂😅 I'm wishing u the best of luck with your hair journey back to fabulous unicorn fairy hairrrrr! ✨️🦄🧚♀️
If you want your aquarium nails work next time you need to add a bubble of air that way it can move better 😊 but you sure did a amazing job executing tanks, I was shocked to see how good you were enclosing the aquarium nails 😮🤯 also I’ve seen easier ways stead of using to nail tips glued together, I think I’ve seen someone make a clear sheet from rhinestone glue obviously you cure it then glue it to the bottom of the nail, I think it would be less work and i think little be easier and more room for the oil and glitters 😊 hope this helps 😊
You're so sweeeettt! Thank yooouu ☺️💜💖💗🩷✨️ And ofc!! I got it from Temu actually! Apparently it's 925 sterling, and it's adjustable! I can add the link to the description for you! 🥰
My sweet Anne you are the best making me laugh and smile, specially when I need "fuel" to keep on going. Every time you say " it's ok, it's ok, it's ok" you shakes me cause sometimes I don't dare to do something cause the "what if, what if" and this kind of thought really stops me. You have no idea how much you teach me in every video. I love you so much my cutie pie 🥧. Let me know if I can link you a video here from another girl doing an different technique of her aquarium. God bless you precious heart and hands.
I think you are doing a cut and color change, I think you should have just stuck with the smaller glitter for the amount of space you had in your tank but the set is cute and you can always try again luv thanks for sharing and showing much love always 💅💕💕💕
These are cute but I think the clay flowers are messing it all up. They’re stuck in the tank and won’t let the glitter flow up and down. Also you need caviar beads or something with weight to pull the glitter! Amazing first attempt though!! Better than mine went!! ❤❤❤
Just a quick tip, if you leave a tiny bubble then the bits will move easier as the bubble moves. 😉 also I've seen people get them in easier using tweezers. I love how you show and explain the problems you run in too and how you trouble shoot them xXx
They are still very cute en beautiful but I can understand that after the hours of work you don't get the reward you should have had! So yes, I totally understand.. I would probably stopt after the glitter infil, but can it be that you forgot to take off the sticky layer of the pink?? 🤔 I haven't heard you saying anything about that.. I do find them gorgeous just as you made them, but hey, now you have a great excuse to try it again in a few weeks or even months.. I would advise you to watch Lisette bc she has made several in the last year and also with faults and wins.. 🥰 Thanks for sharing your goodies and ideas and I hope you know how much we appreciate you!! Love ya.. 😁😘😘😘🥰🥰💙💜💙
Thank yoouu!🥰🩷 I swished them around with alcohol so I think it should have been fine with the sticky layyyerrrrr loll, but it's a possibility! I'm going to go watch her videos!
I don’t think oil and clay mix together. You needed the flowers made of something else, and if it’s too big, cut it in half. Just guessing. You made it all of the way through. Everyone that I have seen do aquarium nails had to do them more than once to work out all the bugs.I felt your pain, but I know that you are very smart and very creative and you will survive this! You learned so much and you did some things right that others haven’t on their first try. I think the bubble is key and that baby oil was a good idea. And getting baby oil on your hands just moisturizers them. A happy mistake.
"I have had enough caffeine that I won't cry and I'll drink more if I need to." - New life motto 2024/25 Oh yeah, have you heard about the aquarium nail controversy?
aww girl I understand 😔💗 I'm super sensitive to sounds so I can imagine how terrible it would be to be very sensitive to smell and use monomer 😭😭 there is NCE odorless monomer, but it's $$$ and you can honestly do great things with gel 🩷
My real issue is just with the stink of acrylic juice. Gives me such a migraine. Which is disappointing. But yeah, I’ve seen lots of other people use the poly gel for pretty much everything that the acrylic does so.
Tips for tank nails: You chose wisely to rinse with alcohol before filling the tanks. All that cured gel will want to grab on to your glitters, but alcohol will help.
Pinkkkk hair💖💖💖💖
Ayyyyoooooo 👀👀💖💖🩷💗✨️
Pink hair, would look amazing, maybe blue
I think your glitter isn't moving bc the nail glue you used to put the top nail on has a sticky layer and the glitter is sticking to it. You need to use something without the sticky layer... And you DON'T need a bubble for the glitter to move
Those glitter acrylics 🤩 🤩 🤩
Edited to add: I have some Temu polygels that kinda remind me of those acrylics.
aaaand now I want to do my nails hahaha
😆💖💖
I kept admiring your nails in your hair dying video, I didn't realize you did it!!!!!
Awww ya! That's what I mostly do on here hehee ☺️🫶💗 thank you!!
Hi Anne, i watched your viedo, and i noticed you used the Betty Cora nail glue, i have the same products, and it has a tacky feel after curing , that could be why nothing moved. Nail glue that is no wipe would work better. I love your video's ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank yoooouuuuuu 🥰💗🩷💗 that's a really good point; I'm going to look for one without the tacky layer! 💖
They look cute I like them
Thank yoooouuu! ☺️🩷
These are very cute but next time make sure you have all your caps ready to go before you start filling them. The first time I tried them it took 2 hours to do 1 so you have done so well, keep up the good work xx
i watched one video with the aquarium nails they did baby oil and water.
Instead of doing a nail they used a gel peice amd put it on the under of the nail and filled them
Strange question, but what program do you use to edit your videos? also love the vid💛🖤
I use premier pro! But I used to use the free version of cap cut and it was so great 😊💓
Beautiful set... Was the nail glue non stick? And maybe next time cut them down a tad with nail tip cutters it could help with the hole size. And maybe a little less oil.
We definitely need a redo of this video
Hair guess - bleaching all the way up to the root and doing a blend of pink and purple throughout the hair.
Or maybe that’s my hair wish for you, not guess. Hahah.
I had some version of blue or purple hair for the last 7.5 years. Last year I made a big investment in a major colour correcting service (to return to a more natural and low maintenance colour) with an amazing stylist. I loved the transformation, but now I miss my people hair. 😭 😂
I had an appointment with her today for a refresh and we talked about colour.
@@AnneElizabethNails the nice thing about the vibrant colours is that they fade to pastel 🙈
I chopped a ton of hair off so that I can hopefully get it to a state where it could handle another colour removal.
Yes those are cute!
THANK YOU!!!
Ohhhh ik u dyed ur hair prolly new color 😊 and ohh this aquarium nails used to be trend years ago so glad im watching this again ❤
🥰🩷🫶✨️
If you want your aquarium nails work next time you need to add a bubble of air that way it can move better 😊 but you sure did a amazing job executing tanks, I was shocked to see how good you were enclosing the aquarium nails 😮🤯 also I’ve seen easier ways stead of using to nail tips glued together, I think I’ve seen someone make a clear sheet from rhinestone glue obviously you cure it then glue it to the bottom of the nail, I think it would be less work and i think little be easier and more room for the oil and glitters 😊 hope this helps 😊
Hi gurlie, you should check out Lisette Cruz she has done a lot of different aquarium sets and she developed her own hard gel that looks amazing!!!!
I'm gonna watch her videos like right now!!! Thank you! 🥰💗🩷💖✨💗
I admire your persistence... 😅❤
6:14 Itzy - Wannabe 😄😍. Where do you get these kpop music box ballads?
I always link them at the end of the description box! 💕
You picked the right size from what I have scene others do
To make your stickers last longer use base coat then top coat making it have two layers over them 😮❤
Perhaps for the bowl you can place the smaller one inside the big bowl and cover it ;)
So cute ❤
I just love your channel... ❤❤ I'm only 40 but when I grow up I wanna be just like you.. Lol. You seem so sweet and confident! 😊😊
Omgg stopp you're so sweet THANK YOU 😭🥹💗💗💗 I'm sure you are much wiser than I 🥰🩵 I have much to learn loll
Your dying your hair pink like you mentioned in the last video 😊

You are just the most adorable young lady!! I love your videos!! Also if I may ask, where did you get your cross thumb ring, I love it!!! ❤❤
You're so sweeeettt! Thank yooouu ☺️💜💖💗🩷✨️ And ofc!! I got it from Temu actually! Apparently it's 925 sterling, and it's adjustable! I can add the link to the description for you! 🥰
@@AnneElizabethNails yes please that would be awesome!! Thank you!!
🥹🥹🥹💗💗💗 YOU'RE SO SWEET!!! I'm so happy my videos bring you some joy 🥰🥹 GOD BLESS YOU TOO LOVE!! 💗💗💗
Have you ever tried any neutralizer? And if so any recommendations?
I've never actually heard of that 🤔
I tried to go and buy those acrylics but I couldn’t find them do you remember the name of them? The link just takes you too the home page
Just here because temu is in the title.
Temu got me with bank card skimming y'all. Be careful.
I think you are doing a cut and color change, I think you should have just stuck with the smaller glitter for the amount of space you had in your tank but the set is cute and you can always try again luv thanks for sharing and showing much love always 💅💕💕💕
Thank you!! Looking back I totally agree with you! For the the next one's I'm going to try to stick to the smaller ones ✨😊💖
Dying your hair pink
Anne where do you buy your large jar of saviland acrylic? I need alot for nail practice.
Amazon! I will link it in the description for you right now! 💗
❤ Nice video ❤ and I think you go pink 💞
😊🩷💗✨
These are cute but I think the clay flowers are messing it all up. They’re stuck in the tank and won’t let the glitter flow up and down. Also you need caviar beads or something with weight to pull the glitter!
Amazing first attempt though!! Better than mine went!! ❤❤❤
Omg u righhhtttt! Thats probably why!! Thank youu! 💜🩷🫶✨️💖
Rainbow or natural You should watch Stab Nails she does a awesome job of aquarium nails
You make me laugh I like your talking 😂
Just a quick tip, if you leave a tiny bubble then the bits will move easier as the bubble moves. 😉 also I've seen people get them in easier using tweezers. I love how you show and explain the problems you run in too and how you trouble shoot them xXx
THANK YOU!! I like explaining all my problems because I know someone will probably have a solution 🫶💗😂
Pink hair 🌸🌺🎀🩷💓💕💗💞💖💝💘
PINKKKKK (maybe heheee) 🩷🩷🩷
Yes girl they came out so cute❤
Thank yoouuuu! ☺️ 💕
where did you get the dog stickers wahhhhh i need..
I WILL LINK!
Did I hear itzy wanna be song back chorus?
I don’t think oil and clay mix together. You needed the flowers made of something else, and if it’s too big, cut it in half. Just guessing. You made it all of the way through. Everyone that I have seen do aquarium nails had to do them more than once to work out all the bugs.I felt your pain, but I know that you are very smart and very creative and you will survive this! You learned so much and you did some things right that others haven’t on their first try. I think the bubble is key and that baby oil was a good idea. And getting baby oil on your hands just moisturizers them. A happy mistake.
You can order fish tank nails. They are so cool.
Pink I hope.😂❤
Hopefully u won't be disappointed 😌 ☺️💖
I think red or pink hair 👀❤️💖
Are you coloring your hair pink? 🤔😄🤩🤩 Hi Babe 😘🥰🥰
Maaayybeeeee ☺️💓💖💖💖
@@AnneElizabethNails 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did you post a link for the acrylic’s I can’t find it 😂
OMG THATS THE LINK I WAS FORGETTING!!! LMAO THANK YOU!!

Oh yeah, have you heard about the aquarium nail controversy?
i love working with acrylic but the monomer smell is soooo awful. im very sensitive to smells.
aww girl I understand 😔💗 I'm super sensitive to sounds so I can imagine how terrible it would be to be very sensitive to smell and use monomer 😭😭 there is NCE odorless monomer, but it's $$$ and you can honestly do great things with gel 🩷
You should do a video/s on mixing all your acrylics together polygels together and gel polishes together xx
I'm putting it on my list! 💗
My real issue is just with the stink of acrylic juice. Gives me such a migraine. Which is disappointing. But yeah, I’ve seen lots of other people use the poly gel for pretty much everything that the acrylic does so.
You going pink with your hair? 🌺💮🌸
