This fine for single family homes with good plumbing and no complications (debris) from shutting off the water to the entire structure. For apartment owners and others, where it may be complicated to shut off water to the entire building, Grohe has hot and cold shut off screws on the rough-in valve, making it unnecessary to shut down the entire building. Just remove the back plate to expose them.
Hi Joe, there wasn't much on the temperature adjustment in the video; but I conclude that the plastic ring can be removed by just pulling it out and move it into a clockwise or counter clockwise position; I have the same faucet and stuck on that part of removing the adjusting-ring (flow is too hot). I'm afraid of breaking the component by exerting too much force; am I right? Thanks for the tips; Good video!
Hi Jean. Yes I may have not included details about the hot and cold adjustment. It is a plastic adjustment. I'm trying to remember but I believe if you just remove it, it allows you to have full control over both sides hot and cold without limiting it.
Good LUCK finding the replacement cartridge! LOL. The company changes the whole system every few years and there's no modern parts to replace the cartridge or anything else, but you can be sure someone in the US has a replacment part and will be glad to sell it to you for $700, which is probably 10x what this piece of chinese junk costs to manufacture.

I’m here because I can’t get the backing plate off.

I may be wrong. I maybe thinking of a Delta cartridge. If so I apologize
Do you have a video on on to replace a grohe tub diverter?
Thanks a lot you really saved me 😅
Joe - whats the model # of the replacement cartridge?
Hi, we have exactly same issue. May I ask for the part model name so I could order this part online? Many thanks.
Hi Bryan. I have to go through the pics on my old phone. It may be worth looking for to add to the description.

first off you did not lubricate, and clean cartilage valve then you tested water without clip.
