you aren't lying, these things are awesome and make regular headlights somewhat unnecessary but i do like that the headlights are active and turn a bit and move up and down as you are turning the truck and pulling up behind people or going up and down over rises in the road.
Dude, thanks for the adapter info. I’ve switched to wired for CarPlay because I want to use the truck’s hotpot. It can’t use wireless CarPlay because it uses WiFi. Also really appreciate the install video. I ordered the Diode Dynamics fogs and this should be similar install. I can’t get over how much we have the same thought process. I have a SG RR and have a t-slot rack for my RTT. I have my gas and water cans on my passenger side and the same green traction boards on my driver side. I needed to put the cans on my passenger side because my RTT would not fold down without hitting them on my driver’s side. Edit note: I wouldn’t put on the embossed Raptor thing. I would stick with the factory set, full delete, or go with a color match set from Rocky Mountain Graphics. I went with a set in Matte Bronze Metallic which is choice with SG. Especially with my bronze Method wheels. If I were to put it on, I’d remove the factory graphics and add it. But ultimately, you do what makes you happy. After seeming someone in town with another SG I find the need to make mine look like mine alone.
Great minds think alike brother! I’ll be doing a quick video about the CarPlay adapter this weekend but I can tell you that overall I’m super happy with it. There are a few drawbacks but the pros far outweigh the cons for what I wanted to get from it!
You have helped me so much with my build so far😂 I saw you put the light bar in the grille I want to try the kc 30 inch bar but I don’t know if it would be to thick. I looked everything up and it’s a little thicker than yours how much more grille could you shave off?😅
that is awesome to hear and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I could have shaved a little bit more off but not too much. Also, i used a 32 inch bar and had to slightly modify the mounting area, not sure how long the KC 30" bar actually is, but you might have to make a bit more modification to use the factory holes that i used to mount mine. not saying it isn't worth it... i'm all for making what you want work! As for shaving more of the grill, there was maybe another 1/4 inch i could have taken off without going out thru the front. but i couldn't have pushed it any further back without trimming a lot more of the mounting plastic for the luvers in the front. Hope that helps
Thanks for the comment. that was my initial thought as well, i think today i'm gonna use some museum tack stuff to stick these on top of the existing decals to stand back and look at it from all angles before taking the decals off but I think in the end i'll end up going with just these new ones for a cleaner look like you suggest. Cheers
Thank you for this content. I'm looking myself for a factory fog light replacement. I'm another note, when adding a 2" level kit does anyone know if the factory headlights will reset the height. ? I don't see a headlight level adjustment screw. Cheers
that is a great, and i dont know the answer but i do notice that when i pull up to a red light behind someone, my headlights will lower to the level of their tail lights in most cases to avoid shining in their eyes through side or rear view mirror. I have to believe that is triggered by the forward looking camera which would mean that they would still go lower based on that with a leveling kit. With the rack and all the stuff i keep on the back of my truck my rear end sits about 1-1.5 inches lower and i have had no issues with the lights being too hight, not sure if that helps and it doesn't answer your question directly but might give you some data to work with. Cheers.
I have installed one, they are so bright in a way you can drive with them alone

Great video. I’m lucky that I haven’t had the issue with wireless CarPlay not working. I have read about it happening to others through.
