The reason they have The California Raisins in a showcase is to keep you from completing your collection.
ALL trolls should be kept behind glass. Period.
Mine are not behind glass. You got to trust folks in this world.
@@remley8877 troll lives mather!
I hope they are buying up some of the old Toys R Us memorabilia!
539 Productions too soon
Lmfao
me too
If they don't then shame on them!
I remember the California Rasins were so darn popular, they got a claymation Christmas special on tv, that I was obsessed with as a kid.
C b. V.
Do you remember all the derivations of “Here We Go A Wassailing?” I watched that Christmas show a lot! I still have one of those figurines like he showed un the museum.
Mystical Moonstone LOL, I still watch that Christmas special every year; I transferred it onto a DVD from an ancient VHS. Will Vinton FTW.
I don't remember them having a christmas special. They were in claymation though, I remember that, they made music videos like other bands.
I do love TOYS!!!! Especially old , creepy toys! I could easily spend a weekend in that place and then have endless dreams besides. Didn't say the creepy toys didn't creep me out, but I still love 'em! Thanks for the great video Jacob!!!!
That place had some amazing toys on show. I remember having a couple of the California rasin figures back in the 80's. This place had an awful amount of dolls but sadly didn't see and G.I.Joes or Star Wars Figures which were the staple of my childhood, but still a very interesting collection. Thanks for sharing Jacob 👍😎👍
By the way the green monster in amongst the robots is called The Great Garloo, he was made by Louis Marx in the 60s. He's remote control and can pick up items by grabbing them with his hands like a pincer. Garloo is worth quite a bit!
And the green tall plastic robot is called BIG LOU "the moon robot" by Marx as well. He has a lot of functions but noyable is the record player in the head that lets the robot talk as you rotate a crank on the back of the head. The only thing electric about the robot is the flashing eyes.
A really cool toy. The old TV commercials for it are really neat to.
@@applevalleyhillbillygarden1093
Yeah, the ad is awesome. Great Garloo would make for a really cool muffler man
ua-cam.com/video/puYB4a2mcsA/v-deo.html
Yes I have one in the Robot Hut Museum with over 4000 other robots.
Where is the Robot Hut Museum at ?
Really cool. So much childhood happiness in one place.
I used the same ALF lunch in elementary school. I still have it, although it's in poor condition.
Also have some of those California Raisins from Hardee's.
Great video!
I had an ALF lunchbox too Travis! I also had the talking ALF, bedspread and countless shirts.... I miss ALF. The California raisins I wasn't too into, my brother was.
at 5:43 Abe's eyes looked like he just finished some ganja : )
The Alf stuff was the best part of this video. I'm a HUGE Alf fan. I must admit, my collection blows their Alf collection to smithereens.
Now, are we talking about the world's largest toy museum here, or a museum dedicated to the world's largest toy?
OMG I thought that cop at 5:49 was Roger Waters for a second :D
"There's a really scary Superman in the back of this church!"
I love the old school stuff! Awesome vids. Thanks! Keep em coming!
I loved the claymation specials they did with the california raisins! I even had a California raisin cake for my 8th birthday
You have been a lot of weird places, but between the Darth Vader and the Superman... this may be the weirdest oddly disguised as nearly normal...
Thank you. Great video. I was not aware there was so much in branson
Earlier this year, they just opened up Rockafire Arcade in Kansas City, Missouri! If you were a child of the 80s and miss Showbiz Pizza, this is for you!
Jacob, you need to check out that place. Have had a lot of folks telling me about that place when they are here. There is a lot on web about place. www.x1051kc.com/2018/05/23/showbiz-pizzas-rock-afire-explosion-band-makes-triumphant-return-to-kansas-city-arcade-bar/
I prefer The King (go figure lol). Rockafire was creepy though, with their weird latex masks that the creator made on purpose so they would dry up within a few years forcing the franchise owners to buy more from him. Just sayin'... But one character I did like was Rolfe the wolf. Just not the voice, a little....creepy....lol
I like your King. He is really cool. What you are doing is really cool !
Really Where. I live in kc
every time I see your awesome videos makes me want to go to the places that you been and I to retrace your steps like some kinda of detective
Looks awesome!! I hope I can visit some day!
And your commentary was hilarious!
The main building for the toy museum was originally a western sizzling steak house where I celebrated my high school graduation!
I collected the California Raisins and still have them
I LOVE THE PARADE OF TOYS!
Such a cool place. Love toys. Could spend a long time in there. Keep Safe ❤ don't shoot your eye out Keep Well ❤
Thanks for all these videos on branson. I've always viewed as an older person destination, but i may have to check into going. There is a lot of things to do there.
I live in the park where Charlie McCarthy owner Edgar Burgan live his final years ,Oceanside,Ca
We never had a Hardees here growing up but we sure had them exact same California raisins figures, I've no idea where we would have gotten them.. maybe McD's or BK. Great video Jacob!
Loved this, thank you.
There was some nostalgic toys there for sure!! Awesome thanks Jacob!!
every time I see your awesome videos makes me want to go to the places tat you been and I to retrace your steps like some kinda of detective
I wish I had those original Star Trek characters. Best future space show ever!! But I did love Lost In Space too, so go figure. 😁
Great video. That lion with flowers was a drinking fountain in its former life. Our zoo had one.
I haven't been able to watch in awhile so I don't know how long it's been changed but I like the new beginning
I've been to that toy museum oh and I love your vids
I collected raggedy ann .i remember the couch potato i used to have 2 sitting on my couch . This took me back . My girls had troll dolls . I love this vlog. U r the best .
We even have a glass museum here and a antique mall that used to be the old Lancaster shoe factory I think you would enjoy it too
At night they all come alive! Nice video. Thanks!
Awesome thanks this was great .enjoyed replay
The green lizard guy was the creature "swamp thing".
Thanks for sharing.
Jacob, the Swamp Thing is in Toyland to.
Thanks for the great video 🤗 🤗🤗 🤗 love it 😘
Awsome! Also they need to get vintage furby's and vintage mcdonalds toy's...!
I too had the California raisins obsession. I even had family members helping collect them for me. And one day, my big brother delivered with an egg carton full of them. It was awesome.
Alf. California raisins. 👍🏻👍🏻😎
That was interesting, but those dolls were creepy as heck.
Awesome place and great vlog, Jacob. Can't wait tell I can find a backer that wants to build me a 80'X100' building so I can build the World's Largest Operating Toy Diorama ! Right now, I have the most toys packed into the worlds largest operating toy (over 3,500 toys) diorama in a one car garage ? Why are most of their toys behind glass where they can't breath ? Thought toys were met to be played with and come to life at night. Wow, looks like they really shrunk the Harold Bell Wright Museum section down since I been there. That place started out as the Harold Bell Wright/Sheperd Of The Hills museum before the toys moved in.
Almost have to have the world's largest museum just from the toys that came from McDonald's and Hardees back in the day.
Omg, I had that same California Raisin birthday supply set that was in that case! 😂🙌🍰🎂🍭🍬
Jacob if you ever find yourself in the north east again you should check out the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester NY. Massive toy museum (perhaps even bigger then this one) that contains some amazing pieces even prototypes to toys people grown up playing and loved and also some super rare toys. They also have a adult sized Raggedy Anne doll in a giant chair and sesame street on display with key characters!
Harold Bell Wright was a best-selling American writer of fiction, essays, and nonfiction. Although mostly forgotten or ignored after the middle of the 20th century, he is said to have been the first American writer to sell a million copies of a novel and the first to make $1 million from writing fiction. Now you know who Harold Bell Wright is
I still have some of the California raisins from Hardees that I got in the mid to late 80's.
Nice one
Looks like a great place to visit!
I went to Mint Toys Museum Singapore last year. Loved it.
I used to collect those California Raisins another great one
Harold Bell Wright wrote a famous book in the Ozarks. Sheperd of The Hills. They have a night time play in Branson that's very good The book is very popular.
He was also a pastor. He was the first author to sell a million books.
Sweet Child o Mine playing in the beginning. I recognize that solo anywhere.
i heard they are gonna do a reboot of the alf show
WOW!!! Need to go back to Branson.
Amazing vid
TRIGGER IS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, CHECK OUT THE MUSEUMS THERE, ROY WAS GOING TO STUFF DALE AS WELL, BUT HER FAMILY BALKED
Well... If you want to be technical, you can kill someone with anything, even a teddy bear or lego or doll. So yeah, just because you can kill someone with it doesn't mean it's not a toy. It's all what you do with it that really determines its status as a toy or an instrument of peace.
It didn't show any Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars or any slot car tracks.
Mr. The Carpetbagger, @ 5:13 Thetimtracker? Lol!
The California Raisins were such a ridiculous trend. Although I did have the toys and a cassette tape of their greatest hits lol. I see that same tape in that display case.
Enjoy this road show. Stay safe.
some of the video on the toys ended up being choppy when you did a scan by shot. not visible when paused ether. IDK if its frame rate or maybe just need to upload at 1080p. love your videos just some light criticism. =] keep it up.
Love model trains I collect them and have the same setup
Hey you should go to this little roller coaster it’s so amazing Its in Branson
Such a cool place! I am a Barbie collector and I would love to see the Barbie exhibit they have!
I always liked the laying down army man because I always wanted to be a sniper when I was little lol
THIS IS ONE COOL MUSEUM!
That lion statue used to be a drinking fountain in some amusement parks.
When I was a kid my favorite toy was a big wheel type of toy that you sat in the middle and used your arms to crank the two wheels to make it go. What was your favorite toy growing up.
Denise Boldea do you remember the "Sit and Spins?" My mamas furniture legs were scarred to death bc of this accident waiting to happen!
Yes, the "Big Wheels" were great too!
Brandon strickland Yes I remember the sit and spin, or in the case of my neighbors kid sit and puke. The kid didn't have a stomach and the lady was mad at her brother for buying it for the kid.😄
there was one at a flea market
Haha dude i hated the crawling soldier too! They got to stand up and fight. Dont know why they even included those
Mike Tyson and Barbie? Hmmmmmm theres a thought!
lol
Awesome toy museum😊
Creepy ventriloquist dummies 😳. I heard some of those dolls are haunted.
you should go explore the warrens occult museum from the conjuring with the Annabelle doll
No Titanic museum or 1984 video arcade (Springfield)?
this is taken me back to my childhood days i was born in the 80s
Look amazing toys
ghost adventures did a ep of this place for Titanic ❤️😍
I remember the raisins. Why did any of us care about them? They were just advertising mascots. Anyway, great vid.
Lots of A.L.F... but no A.L.F pogs. It's not coming up Milhouse.
ampedwales I love ALF
Hey Jacob ! i just ordered a tee shirt !
I still love Alf!!!
How great would it be if both Alf and California Rasins came back to popularity?
I am legit terrified of raggedy anne dolls. My mom bought one for my sister, and I would NOT go near that thing. Also, those creepy naked baby dolls....
I still have some hard to find raisins in bags sealed like new
I actually still have that ALF puppet!
THE BIG GREEN MONSTER TOY WAS GARLOU, HE WALKED, HE BEND FORWARD AND HIS HANDS CLOSED AROUND WHATEVER YOU PUT BETWEEN THEM, HE WAS A VERY COOL TOY AND REAL EXPENSIVE, HE CAME OUT IN THE MID 60'S
yes, "The Great Garloo"
Freakin' awesome museum.
i missed you buy a month😔 my husband and i went to branson in september to celebrate the big 10 year anniv. i didnt go to the toy museum but i was across the street at the bigfoot adventure park. that was fun, we were signed up to go on the bigfoot expedition safari and it goes in the country and mountains and you hand feed highland cattle. if you have back issues though, i wouldnt recommend it. got my head hit off the roof of the off road vehicle like 3 times. lol.
You should go to the national toy train museum
Hey Jacob, it’s Q. Q. Kachoo from Flickr! My boyfriend showed me this video because he knows I love toys (and museums), and lo and behold, who do I see but you! I was wondering what you’d been up to lately, I see you’re a UA-camr now! Awesome, bonne chance! I was gonna say that the mural with Barbie on a pink horse is my favorite part...but then I saw the stormtrooper. So.
I also believe the life size character you didn’t know was PETE ZA the local character from a Pizza buffet called incredible Pizza company
Im.already laughing and i havent started yet
That is soooooooo cool
2:16 I think that Zoltar likes you, Jacob.
Been to Branson 50 times never been to the Toy store. Was it worth paying to get in.
No dukes of hazzard? Weird they had tons of merch
