It is undeniable that Madonna's collaboration ( writer and producer) with Patrick Leonard is the best choice of her career. I Miss this Golden age ( True Blue, who's that girl? Like a prayer, I'm Breathless, Ray Of light's songs)
I 100% agree: I'd put Patrick Leonard first in terms of collaboration with Madonna, then Jellybean, then William Orbit, then Shep Pettibone... all good!
These versions are so amazing! The only thing missing is Madonna's vocals. Although that's not to say they don't sound fantastic as instrumentals as well, because they most certainly do! I like these new interpretations of the songs so much that it would just be awesome to hear them with vocals as well. I certainly wouldn't rule out the possibility of them working together again at some point...I'm not holding my breath or anything, but if the timing is right and they're both in the right mind space for it, why not?! There certainly shouldn't be any shame in checking back in on a collaborative partnership after a period of exploring other collaborations, particularly a partnership that has produced such magical results as Madonna & Pat's. Simply looking at it as moving backwards is false if it's done with the right intent. After all, their collaboration during Ray Of Light helped lay a solid foundation for what proved to be a huge step forward for Madonna artistically, and their songs remained as fresh as anything they did in the 80's. Even though Orbit obviously played an influential role as well, I consider production, while important, to be more about style than substance at the end of the day. It can enhance a great song and elevate it into a classic song, but it will rarely turn a mediocre song into a great one. If the foundation of a song is strong, it's pretty hard to go wrong. In any case, if the stars align, perhaps at some point they will both find themselves open to the possibility. Thanks so much Luis for sharing these videos with those of us who couldn't be at the show!
OMG !! Where is MADONNA to lend live vocals when you need her !! Her next tour (2022) needs to be in a forum just like this. Scaled down demos and RAW !! Is that Bruce on guitar !? HE FUCKIN ROCKS AND IS SO COOL !! He is just there to jam and is so SMOOTH !! OMG ... SKIN - put your hands on my SKIN !!

Pat Leonard's magic.
Im in love about this version of ‘the look of love’
That guitarists tone is sick, even compressed through UA-cam.
Bruce Gaitsch is a GOD. And also a pretty awesome guy.
