I guess if you do not have original songs of your own, you can not go wrong by remaking the hits of a band that did have great original songs. I mean, you've got to get the songs from somewhere.
She is now tho, if she wasn't before...but I have to admit she has become a bit underrated as a vocalist..I mean she isn't as hyped as Ariana Grande, Adele or Lady Gaga. But musicians and many acclaimed vocal coaches praised her vocal genius ever since she started doing covers of Rock/Metal songs.
This song was my mom's song. I remember when I was younger, her and I sang this song in the car together. We were going through some scary times then. She killed herself 4 years ago now and I played this song at her funeral, I miss her so much. Miley did a wonderful job singing this song and I appreciate hearing it sung so well.

I dated my first serious bf for 6 years and lived with him for 3 years but we met when I was 16 and as I got older, we drifted apart and even though we both loved each other so much and had a life planned out together, I realized there was just so much I needed to experience in the world before I settled down and it was just reality that he couldn't be part of that exploration because we were at such different points in our lives and so we went our separate ways and this song always takes me back to that feeling of outgrowing a life that you thought was going to be forever. It's scary but at the same time it's freeing and beautiful. I still think about him fondly.

Miley has had the most beautiful voice for areas of rock and country music. I always wished she had taken that route in her career because her pop does not showcase her talent at all.
I still think the whole pop thing is to kill her HM image as she's not a kid any more. Notice her first album as an adult was kinda country rock and than she went POP. I bet you as she gets older she will return to a more Country and softer style.

The only difference is that Stevie Nicks smoked way more cigarettes so thats why her raspy voice was a little more pronounced. If you watch any live performance from the late 70s or early 80s and close your eyes, you can absolutely tell how similar they sound. It's almost uncanny in some spots. Anyone who denies this is looking purely through rose colored glasses and they simply dont want to compare Miley Cyrus with the legendary Stevie Nicks, which is understandable, but even though it's Miley Cyrus, she has one hell of a voice and has the ability to effectively use it when she wants to, that's undeniable. No matter your feelings about Miley Cyrus, she is a very talented and skillful vocalist.

The only difference is that Stevie Nicks smoked way more cigarettes so thats why her raspy voice was a little more pronounced. If you watch any live performance from the late 70s or early 80s and close your eyes, you can absolutely tell how similar they sound. It's almost uncanny in some spots. Anyone who denies this is looking purely through rose colored glasses and they simply dont want to compare Miley Cyrus with the legendary Stevie Nicks, which is understandable, but even though it's Miley Cyrus, she has one hell of a voice and has the ability to effectively use it when she wants to, that's undeniable. No matter your feelings about Miley Cyrus, she is a very talented and skillful vocalist.

I think I dissed this girl a lot early on. But I am happy to say I am WRONG! She has the capability and range to be one of the greats. This is a fantastic cover. Not dissimilar to Stevie herself, vocally.
I think the more she grows up, the more she matures, we'll get some great stuff from her. She definitely has a lot of talent. Nearly all artists were a bit crazy and pushed the fringes, then they mellowed down.

Not sure how I ended up watching this, but she and the band do such a nice job. And looking past her "image" I watch her directing the band and being in total control of everything on that stage, and totally comfortable in front of the audience. I'm impressed with it all.

I gotta say, I have never really listened to Miley, mostly because I’m old enough to be her mother. However, I love this song, so I clicked on it. All I can say is WOW! I heard a lot of similarities between her voice and Stevie Nick’s voice and this is now one of my favorite covers. She could have sung this to Liam Hemsworth, as Stevie wrote it for Lindsey.
