I can't watch her Christmas episode without the hysterics ... when she attacks the turkey,goose and chicken...absolutely hilarious,although of course it wasn't meant to be.Check it out...

I think it might have been designed to be hilarious. There is a great deal of conscious and very knowing camp. It was a brilliant persona, intended to entertain. She is a sort of trailblazer really for Brian Sewell, Jonathan Meades, Victor Lewis-Smith, AA Gill, Maggie Hambling, Chris Sievey,: all those brilliant and iconoclastic broadcasters who really could play with the conventions of the medium. She was both completely phony, and completely real, all at the same time. A mesmerizing figure, incapable of producing dull television.
