Europe's Supercharger network has just been massively updated on their website, with 132 Super Charger locations planned as finished by "Winter 2014/2015", assuming that means they should be done in about a year's time. Compare this to the 17 that are running now. You will be able to tour Europe very soon, and I'll be happy to watch your awesome videos doing so, until I can afford one myself. Keep up the good work. I enjoy all the information and experiences you share and your down-to-earth approach. It makes it easy to understand the real life experience of owning a Tesla. Thank you very much for that.
Great 2nd part, like part 1. One needs to be patient when not in a supercharger area. Your wife was very patient too. It was a nice virtual trip for me. Thanks.
I'm a few years behind watching this video but I hope you'll see the comment anyway. It was so funny to see you guys at about 2:40 . Now that your wife is pregnant I thought how funny that is when the dogs threw up. You better get used to that. The baby will do its share of poops and throw ups and you will have to deal with that. 😂
watching your vids, i can't help but realize how simple and interesting your life is. I wish i shared such an adventure-- i think we live many of our days stressing ourselves
Man i'm exhausted from your trip behind my computer :) Congrats on your achievements and Bravo on your awesome video. You are like a Tesla Electric Pioneer my friend :)
... got up early to look for the final install to this epic journey. Really enjoyed your video diary, and hope to see more in the future. Thanks again.
Wonderful view of Tesla Model S, inside and out, including seeing how it charges, and the various speeds of charging. I'm definitely a fan; maybe when they become more commonly affordable...Fun to see Ammery, too. She's quite a trouper -- strong co-pilot for you. Enjoy your videos!
Amazing video as always! The dogs were one of the funniest bits oh whole trip. :D Keep up the good work, and i hope to see you in southern adventures soon! :)
Great trip Bjorn. I've been following your trips with great interest. We are just about to get the model s in Australia, but no idea about superchargers.
Woah man! I watched I think about over 50% of your vids, and I must say, WOW! Your a pretty damn explorer! I think you convinced me to buy this Tesla model, cus you made some resistance test with it! And by the way, nice editing :)
Hey Bjørn, I love your video's! Hope to spot you somewhere in Norway some day, I'm driving throughout the country too! Oh btw, every time you say "shiiiiiiiit", I just can't stop laughing! Hilarious!
Only recently stumbled upon your series of productions which are so well made documentaries. The Tesla is revolutionary and you illustrate this so beautifully. In Australia, your car would cost about 145000 AUD. I may just have to wait for the tesla 3, or move to Norway. :-).
I expected it to be at around 1 hour+ :( but never the less, Its still an amazing video! Hope to see more of these trip videos in the near future. Thanks and keep it up! :)
Thanks for posting, breathtaking scenery again! Did you notice Bjorn a clip like your tunnel lights video has been used in a 2 minute Tesla motors video on the model S? You make me want to come back to Norway and rent a Tesla and drive around :) (I haven't been to Oslo in 20 years :) )
I love your adventures with the Tesla S and the way you report them in your videos. What I would like to know is whether it is custom in Norway to deliver goods/cats/puppies... when on a longer roadtrip with your car?
Great video again Bjorn! Thank you so much for taking the time out and sharing your travel experiences again and showing us the beauty of your country! Norway must be the friendliest place on Earth with people helping you out with charging and accommodation! Do you ever get a little nervous sleeping in the car at night?
oh man, I envy you and your Tesla Model S!!! It's great that you have a job that allows you to afford one and your country has great Tesla infrastructure and ownership rates. Also the fact that you can buy Teslas, its not for sale in my country (New Zealand) :(! I am only 24 and my job is pretty average, but I hope to one day own a Tesla!!! Thanks for showing us from all over the world what it's like to own a Tesla. I can see also that you buy a car to be used, not to be looked at! You really USE your car, I don't think I would transport a bunch of stuff if I owned a Model S p85 lol
i did this north cape trip in my 1985 vw transporter vanagon t25 (t3) in march 2014 i was running on bio kerosene mix all the way from england to the northcape and back i did it it 17 days 5500 miles I had my edre traler in the back with 24 20 liter jerry cans of bio and 5 in the van I only filled up with normal diesel once and changed one fuel filter that I had on board as spairs I think I might make a UT video of my experience
The lack of superchargers in the north of Norway makes for a more adventurous journey! But I'll bet the hours waiting around for the car to charge (that we didn't see in the video) really dragged on. After all, it would have been far too easy if there had been superchargers all the way to Nordkapp! Great video. I hope there's a number 9 on the way? How about a road trip to the south, hot summer in southern Europe? Test out range with air conditioning on instead of heater?? ;)
Yes, the whole challenge was the lack of superchargers north of Dombås. Already this year, there should be more than double the amount of superchargers in Norway. We're planning a road trip nowadays. It will be from Oslo to Italy or Spain. In our Model S =)
Bjørn Nyland Excellent. Malaga is nicer than Naples ;) but that's just my opinion. It's also further from Oslo, so would make a better road trip! I look forward to the video. Keep up the good work.
Great video. And I must say Norway is very beautiful! I want to know how many people in Norway can speak english or german? I would like to get there for holydays to see it myself. If you ever visit germany don't miss to check out the 'green hell' aka Nürburgring :)
Good Job on your video. I like the joke that you make "Tesla take you from hell and back" It is a hell of a ride but i think you made a good video. Cheers. Keep up the good work
I'm interested in how you're mounting your camera in the car. Can you show that? How many cameras are you using. I'm guessing your using the Nikon DSLR for the follow focus shots. Great work. I really should do commentary on my Harley trip videos. I'm feeling inspired now :-)
It maybe to early to talk about this, but are you planning to do a video about overall appreciation, issues, maintenance, batteries' effectiveness, tesla's service, etc.??
Bjørn Nyland Oh, very nice! I leave you my email . If i can be helpful, it will be a pleasure! and, of course, it will be a pleasure to know you! Hasta luego!
Another great video, thank you! I was wondering whether you are happy you chose the P85? It seems that for these long trips, using the performance would require you to stop and charge all the time? But I guess if you are doing short daily drives to work, you can open it up!
Yes, you're right. About 90 % of the time, I don't get the chance to utilize the Perrformance. Not even for daily drives. Because for the best battery health, I charge to 60 % only. At that charge state, the Performance inverter doesn't get enough current. So basically it performs as a standard S85. And the few times I charge to 90 % or more, I have to save the energy for long runs. Even when jumping between SCs, it's not good for the battery to charge to 90 % and burn it all down.
Hi Bjorn, I am from Hong Kong, nice to meet you. Do you have a plan to drive to China or Hong Kong ? Do you think if it is possible ? Besides, where you buy the green water proof charger ?
Bjørn Nyland Hi, Bjørn! I think, he meant the portable charger box that has this green cable. By the way, do you plan to come to the Octoberfest to Munich some day? Besides: I noticed, that your left rear licence plate light seemes to be broken. Did you notice? Anyway, a great video, as it always is.
Bjørn Nyland Your road trip is excellent. I watched some of the video at least 5 times. Music, editing, road trip map..... everything is great. You pay a lot of effort to share the experience to others. I would like to tell you that I ordered 85D last week. 25% is influenced by your fun getting to have tesla road trip. Besides, the announcement of roadster 3.0 also have 10% factor which I have confidence with this company. Since, Hong Kong is RHD, the delivery is expected in Aug to Oct 2015.
Charging for 7 hours is a lot of pain! I will not go in a trip if I must wait 7 hours (or 5) to recharge and wait in car (sleep in car) for driving another 4 hours. I will maximum accept 1 hour. This trip will be a fiasco if use gas car. Maybe couple of days shorter or spend more days at destinations. Supercharging can save the situation. Very hard to travel in areas where no supercharging are present.
I believe you should get it...for a person who drives a lot on expressways like u, I believe it's a must. You never know when you might hit a road debris.
Does your wife ever get to drive the car? :) P.S.: Really like your videos, nice job. If you are looking for new destinations one day, come to Germany.
Hi. I saw your photo in play store for Android app which is name of Micro CPU monitor in the morning. It is Daebak that called in korea word. I will visit thai coming summer vacation but worry about thai situation. have a good day.
Tesla have updated their Supercharger map for Europe, now Denmark is under comming soon and by Winter 2014/15 you can go North Cape on Superchargers :)
Oddly enough Finland does not get any Superchargers ? But hey how about a winter holiday in France, Spain or Italy, no travel expense ( except toll roads of course. ).
Martin Pedersen They place Supoerchargers where they sell the most cars, I think Finland only have 20-30 cars or so.. at least it have read this number somewhere in march 2014. I guess Finland will get Superchargers when sales pick up.
Great video, it just shows it can be done, and how easier it will get in the near future, early days for the electric car, and because of tesla, the oil company's cannot kill off the electric car as they did 20 years ago, the Toyota rav ev1 with the nickel hydrate battery showed it could easily be done back then, and with a range better then every other electric car ( other than tesla ) even today, back then lithium battery's was in the early stage of development and the development for the nickel hydrate battery was and still is under lock and key and the oil company wanted hydrogen to be the future back then as well because they could still sell you something to fuel the car. I own a electric A2b bicycle that I charge up via my solar panel that can do 22mph and upto 40 miles with out peddling, and I own a Toyota Auris hybrid that I get around 420 miles to 43 ltrs of fuel (7-8 pence per mile) I would like a second car as electric for all my local needs that I can charge up via my solar panels , I cannot wait for the future where you will only need one vehicle for all your needs at a cost that most can afford. Tesla shows it can be done but still to expensive for the majority. Your a pioneer, keep up the good work :)
Dogs should be in separate cages ... If they are barking or yelping. Let them out of the car for a bit for a walk - whatever. They do get car sick. Towels or dog pad diapers ... Also dogs do not need to eat when they are traveling in the car or before they get on a flight. Dogs can miss one day eating easy. Leash and let them run around ... off the road is best ...

It was amazing to watch the dog puking scene while eating brakfast haha.
Love watching classic Bjørn, a 6 hour charging stop on the red plug!
So natural, unscripted and chill. No time restrains.
Great 2nd part, like part 1. One needs to be patient when not in a supercharger area. Your wife was very patient too. It was a nice virtual trip for me. Thanks.
The problem with charging so far noth is that there's not much to do while waiting. It should be different when we go on Europe road trip this summer.
Bjørn Nyland I sure hope we'll get to see that one too. :-)
Man i'm exhausted from your trip behind my computer :)
Congrats on your achievements and Bravo on your awesome video. You are like a Tesla Electric Pioneer my friend :)
+Brian Dakin Thank you for the feedback and for watching :)
... got up early to look for the final install to this epic journey.
Thank you for the feedback :)
Congratulation for your long and exhausting trip. I like to see your videos!
And I laughed a lot about the little accident in this episode. :)
Thank you :)
Very nice video, Bjørn! Very proffesionall!
Thank you :)
Nice second Part again. you can be very happy with your wife. My wife would kill me waiting 6 or 7 hours for charging my electric car if i had one :))

Adorable dogs! :-)

It was a short return video because the trip up lasted for 7 days while the return trip was only 3 days.
Another top video. Thanks bud :-)
Thanks for posting, breathtaking scenery again! Did you notice Bjorn a clip like your tunnel lights video has been used in a 2 minute Tesla motors video on the model S? You make me want to come back to Norway and rent a Tesla and drive around :) (I haven't been to Oslo in 20 years :) )
Thank you. Yes, I've seen the Model S video from Tesla.
You can't live without supercharger xD. PS:VERY CUTE PUPPIES :D
After driving to North Cape and back, I realize how awesome superchargers are.
thanks for your video to trip. I think you very very tired. have a good day..
Hey Bjørn! Awsome episode ;)
Love it. Feel exhausted just watching :-)
Wonder if I could do the trip in my Renault Zoe. Many more stops though.
I love your adventures with the Tesla S and the way you report them in your videos. What I would like to know is whether it is custom in Norway to deliver goods/cats/puppies... when on a longer roadtrip with your car?
Excellent video, Bjørn Nyland :)
i love your problems with the dogs hahaha :D. One of the dogs looks scary in the eyes!
Filip Bjurling The dogs were adorable!
Bow big would they be by now?
Olivier Sourie Probably soon full-grown.
Quite interesting trip, especially for the guy from Ukraine where we almost don't have Teslas. Besides, Norway is beautiful. Thanks!
You can really tell how important superchargers are. Hopefully they will be everywhere soon. :-)
Yes, indeed. I had to drive all the way to North Cape to realize how good superchargers are =)
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for doing them.
Great video again Bjorn! Thank you so much for taking the time out and sharing your travel experiences again and showing us the beauty of your country! Norway must be the friendliest place on Earth with people helping you out with charging and accommodation! Do you ever get a little nervous sleeping in the car at night?
We pick safe places to sleep in the car at night. So I never worry about that. Norway is fairly safe.
Nice trip Bjørn! Nice car.
oh man, I envy you and your Tesla Model S!!! It's great that you have a job that allows you to afford one and your country has great Tesla infrastructure and ownership rates. I like your video about your experience with telse and make more videos about your experience electric vehicles and thank you bro
Thank you for watching :)
Anytime bro make your m videos
Thank you for your work :-)

Hi Bjørn, looks like the superchargers are almost to North Cape.
I'd love for you to make this trip again using the Superchargers that are along the way now to see how much easier it is!
Now I'm not going to sleep tonight!! :D
Norway is beautiful!
Good Job on your video. I like the joke that you make "Tesla take you from hell and back" It is a hell of a ride but i think you made a good video. Cheers. Keep up the good work
Another nice run! No more puppies... ;-)
Have you guys seen the new supercharger winter 2014/2015 map on the tesla website??
Hope you make trips to south europe also when they are up!!
Yes, the new map is insane! We're planning road trip 2014 now.
38:24 wow, thats 103 kw of charging
Well 43min is waaaaay to long for me...but i watched this and part1 anyway...because i love Tesla and Bjorn videos are not boring
Great video! The bio defense mode would be very helpful when the dogs had an accident :)
Great video , I watched both parts and I really enjoyed it.
The pups were very cute.
What are your thoughts of the new tesla, the Tesla model X ?
I think it's not as beautiful as Model S. And the falcon doors are too impractical. But 4WD and dual motors sounds awesome! :D
Will you test drive it?
Andreas Lie Yes, at least I'll test drive and make a video.
Ok, thank you!
I actually had that in mind. As of today, I have had the car for 6 months and done 37000 km/23000 mi.
Bjørn Nyland By the way, I'm from Barcelona. Let me know if you are planning to come here next summer!
Marcelo Brongo Wow, what a coincidence! We're going to Barcelona in about one month with our Tesla :)
Bjørn Nyland Oh, very nice! I leave you my email . If i can be helpful, it will be a pleasure! and, of course, it will be a pleasure to know you! Hasta luego!
Hi Bjørn, do you have a video which you have shown all the cables and adaptors you bring whenever you have long roadtrips?
Not yet. I will make a video about it.
CUTE PUPPIES!!!!
so in all seriousness. why did you get the P85? just because?
I got the P85 just because I wanted it :)
Another great video, thank you!
I was wondering whether you are happy you chose the P85? It seems that for these long trips, using the performance would require you to stop and charge all the time? But I guess if you are doing short daily drives to work, you can open it up!

Surprised to see how livable northern Norway seems. Imagined it was more of a desolate wasteland once you got above the arctic circle.
love your "Tesla can take you to hell and back" XD
Oh, yeah! :D
Bjorn do you edit your own video?
Yes.
Will you consider a same trip this year as comparison ? As there are many sc right now.
I don't know. If I had the time and there were some interesting tasks there, I would. But I have to convince my wife.
Hi Bjorn, I am from Hong Kong, nice to meet you. Do you have a plan to drive to China or Hong Kong ? Do you think if it is possible ? Besides, where you buy the green water proof charger ?
It's probably possible to drive to China or Hong Kong. But it will take too much time and effort. What green water proof charger?
Bjørn Nyland Hi, Bjørn! I think, he meant the portable charger box that has this green cable. By the way, do you plan to come to the Octoberfest to Munich some day? Besides: I noticed, that your left rear licence plate light seemes to be broken. Did you notice? Anyway, a great video, as it always is.
Zoli1972s Yes, the green cable charger.
How about a roadtrip thru Europe or somewhere warm.
We're planning a trip this summer.
nice, are there superchargers all over Europe
Bjørn Nyland maybe you could ask tesla to lend you a model s so you could do a road trip across America.
Everything is fine. It seems I wasn't patient enough.
Nice clip again..did u get your battery protection upgrade??
Not yet. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it. The protection is already very good.
I believe you should get it...for a person who drives a lot on expressways like u, I believe it's a must. You never know when you might hit a road debris.
Great video again! Thanks for upload!
Did you ever use a CHAdeMO charger?
The CHAdeMO adapter is not available yet.
How long does your tires last going through constant snow storms?
That's the thing. They last longer when driving on snow and ice. The worst is actually dry tarmac.
where are you going to film next?
I have no idea yet.
Bjørn Nyland
Visit Germany :)
Yeah i think you'll have to venture out of Norway now. You kind of conquered it with the north cape video.
Do you plan to post a 720p or 1080p version?
UA-cam will first encode the lowest version. Then the 720p and 1080p will be encoded.
I think 720p and 1080p take a longer time to sync to youtube. Both those resolutions work for me as of now. :)
Does your wife ever get to drive the car? :)
P.S.: Really like your videos, nice job. If you are looking for new destinations one day, come to Germany.
She can drive the car if she likes. But unfortunately, her driver's license in EU just expired.
are those huskies?
I'm not sure what they were, but they are used for bear hunting. I bet some dog expert can tell what it is :)
A bit of late advice. I don't think the puppies would have gotten motion sick if they could look out of the window.
Bjørn, how do you do to pay tolls in Norway? I know it's by AUTOPASS, but how should I do to order AUTOPASS apparatus?
I don't pay tolls in Norway except for Svinesund bridge. You can order a chip here: www.autopass.no/en/order-tag
Hi. I saw your photo in play store for Android app which is name of Micro CPU monitor in the morning. It is Daebak that called in korea word. I will visit thai coming summer vacation but worry about thai situation. have a good day.
license plate light out at 34:55
Yeah, I noticed that too. The LEDs have been replaced now.
Bjørn Nyland That's too short of life for an LED.
Charles Silva It was some cheap ones from Hong Kong.
Tesla have updated their Supercharger map for Europe, now Denmark is under comming soon and by Winter 2014/15 you can go North Cape on Superchargers :)
www.teslamotors.com/supercharger

Please give them more space you had such a great big car :'(
Hell was a bit nicer than I imagined

Hey!, you speak Thai? LOL
Yes, I was born in Thailand.
