I can attest, that the console will not come preloaded with any games. So you might want to download all the games you want now before Nintendo DMCAs all of the rom sites left.
Another great device showing! I have an Rp4 pro and a steam deck and they pretty much close the gap that I won’t need this device but it sure is beautiful!
Same combo here, i have the steam deck at home/in my backpack when i want to have something more powerful, and the one i take everywhere in my jacket is my RP4P for gamecube/most ps2 and under. I feel like the Odin 2 Mini doesn't give me enough more to be worth it over the RP4P, i would only gain access to some switch emulation and it might be preference but it's not that necessary with all you can emulate already from other consoles.
The only issue with the price is the constant increasing with models, Ayn is heading in the wrong direction with pricing like Aya Neo. I think next gen they may just eliminate a Base model and release the 3 at 400 with 2 models.
Ive read from another thread this guy wiped it with a clothe that left a smudge on his white odin 2 mini. Lol try not to use wipe that is not well dyed
I really wish that Nintendo made a Switch revision that had a screen this small, TBH... I wouldn't even care if it lacks Docked Mode or some other missing benefit, I just really love to experience enhanced handheld/portable gaming consoles with first-party games owned by that very strict IP! Gamers often complain that the Nintendo Switch feels two generations old, but if anyone asks me, the Nintendo Switch Lite is still incredibly powerful for an official handheld/portable gaming device that isn't even bulky unlike the more powerful Steam Deck! I just hope that the Big-N will step-in and release a Switch2-Mini that has a screen close-enough to this size while still playing Modern Hardware games on-the-go but also being able to fit in our pockets at once (like the 3DS or especially Game Boy Micro)!
Retroid pocket 5 is an incredible device for the price. It has the best screen out of any of these gaming handhelds yet. And it's not plastic lul. It has garbage speakers though
@@yetitheeduardo Steam deck is a different class. It's so huge. It's not a portable gaming device like the other ones, more like a small gaming laptop you use at home. Don't buy the odins though, odin 2 has a really washed out lcd panel with ghosting. Odin mini screen is much better but it has very visible vignetting and weird shadows around the edge of the screen. Odin mini's screen is also washed out and inferior compared to Pocket 5. Wait for Odin 2 portal or buy Pocket 5 for the best screens. Pocket 5 has incredible size and design, Portal is too large and heavy and all Odin devices have way worse battery lives than Pocket 5.
I went with the Max Odin 2, better ergonomics, battery, and a slightly larger screen. Plus it has clear colors which pairs with what I plan on making my nostalgia device. Great review!
I already have a steam deck and a switch, but I can't help but be fascinated by it anyway. Oh well, guess I'll let this one get away, since I can't really justify buying it .😢
Maybe, honestly I’d wait for the switch 2 or whatever it will be and grab it for cheaper. once the switch is not their main focus it may be easier to mod.
Another fantastic video man. I have a vita and I love that thing so this has so much nostalgic vibes but packed with power. I pretty much live vicariously through you and retro game corps’ videos
You can literally get a Ryzen powered handheld for a similar price that can run windows 11 and emulate way further in to the future than ps2, $330 dollars? No thanks
I really love the design - and clickiness! - but I prefer having the D-pad on top (and clicky) and Linux instead of Android - and I can't get used AYN's longer-than-standard latency. (I measured Odin Pro's long latency on my Clicky Control channel and unfortunately it was confirmed to be the same on Odin 2 by Ross from RGC - so I guess it's the same on this unit)
I hate that it looks like a vita. It comes off as cheap looking because of that. They already had an awesome design with the Odin 2, they should’ve just shrunk it down to make the mini.
Does it come pre loaded with the games or?
Good question. This is blank android you need to provide your own ROMs and games.
I can attest, that the console will not come preloaded with any games. So you might want to download all the games you want now before Nintendo DMCAs all of the rom sites left.
@@DaveyGany video of that
The sadness that you can hear in his voice when he says squishy not clicky. Had me dying 😂
You hear everything 😬
Great review. At $350 I’m going to El Paso
💀💀
Word. Yeah might as well get a steam deck.
Was considering cause of small form but 350? The steam deck is 359 currently
Might as well wait for an Odin 3 mini (which is probably when AYN will need to clean out their stock of O2 minis)
😂😂😂
So glad you covered the plastic type, i pulled the trigger and bought black from fear of the white soaking in oils and tarnishing
Out of topic, but that white DS and the stand looks so smooth
Another great device showing! I have an Rp4 pro and a steam deck and they pretty much close the gap that I won’t need this device but it sure is beautiful!

its not hard to grasp. Sony doesnt hold patents on the form factor for the Vita.
nice. i'm still rocking the Odin 2 but i'm glad they came out with this version.
Me too

That is worrisome, competitive pricing is what sells this device. Picking this think up on sale in a year or so will be huge.
I got my odin 2 mini pro and am loving it!
I have the white model so it doesnt show smudges as much. the price is a little high compared to the Odin 2, but I do love my mini 2
I've never owned a white handheld. Do they get dirty easily? I like the color, but I just worry about it getting marks and stains on it
@@keyboy1001 I have a white vita and its held up very good. I do wipe down my devices every once and a while.

Leaving this comment from my Odin 2 Mini that I opened a couple hours ago
Oo clutch!
Tank you for your gratte videos . Greats from Portugal
Thanks for watching, cheers 🍻

I’d definitely get this for a smaller handheld. I can use this for emulation and android, and my steam deck for pc games!
I would love to win this DS lite, I’m currently playing pokemon heart gold and my DS is acting weird .
Can we say analogue triggers are slidey, not clicky, not squishy?
does it have motion control like the original?
This thing.. I'm waiting on the Retroid pocket 5 comparison
I will make it, currently the Odin mini. Haven’t got the retroid yet.

Nice, and I wish this one had a different shell option. But all blacked out or all whit isn't bad. Just so many fingerprints...
Looks good, specially if you don't have the Odin 2. If only the screen has no bezzels.

Matter fact u can get a switch oled for 279$ and get it modded for 99$ i think it’s a pretty good deal bth. Right?

did anyone get this off the ayn website? it still says preorder
I did, that’s where this copy is from.
This shouldn't be more than $249(for the pro model).
How can you make a video on Odin 2 mini and not put it side by side with Odin 2 for size comparison?
Did someone get what the Pro version add ?
Is it the base model?
Yes
BUT IT'S PRICE... I wish was cheaper
They do go on sale time to time, catch it next season and it will be cheaper and still worth it.
Is Forza streamed?
In this video yes

Can it run BOTW and TOTK?

Nope
$340? Naah, I would use emulator in my phone and a $17 gamepad

The title is misleading it's not a fake psp it's actually stronger than the PSp
The title says “Fake Vita” not “Fake PSP.” Also, no where does it say it’s underpowered than the actual console itself lol.
3:52 ist this a switch lite?
Clicky and not squishy, squishy and not clicky in this video got me 😂😂😂 please stop just... Stop
…why? He was describing the feel of the buttons which is a concern for a lot of people
"X" is a letter, not a shape. It's "Triangle/Circle/CROSS/Square" i.e: _The Shapes of Play_
Relax... in the west cross tends to refer mostly to the religious symbol so we say x for the most part
