When I was first dating my now wife this song was what I played and sang to her while we were driving around on our third date. 14 years later, 10 years of marriage, and two kids later I found it on her playlist in the car the other day. I think I’m going to play it for my daughters one day when I tell them about how me and their mother courted one another.
So I hadn't listened to Yellowcard for a few years, and Pandora played this song. It nearly made me cry. I love you Yellowcard. Thanks for giving us your music. 🖤
It's cool hearing about another pandora user haha. Yeah yellowcard is great, i only recently discovered them (thanks to Matt Cutshall's emo's not dead videos)
This is so 2007- everything has this really cool eerie Halloween but also Victorian punk vibe. It’s when punk rock was peaking and WAS the popular culture and I remember specifically seeing this debut on MTV. I couldn’t believe my ears. The feeling was so warm. The time period is ingrained in me. I don’t feel anything like it unless I listen to this.
These guys were a huge part of my life growing up , wasn’t a very fun upbringing, bands like this got me through it and allowed me to persevere and become a complete person. Love you forever Yellowcard ☝️
Thank you to all the bands who can actually sing good because this was a true staple of my childhood listening to singers I just love hearing their songs in 2000s and 2010s. Thank you so much Yellow Card and Thank all of you bands who performed in the 2000s and 2010s it's still perform today. Thank you and God bless you.
Funny how this Charles dude brought everyone here when I was listening to this song when I was 15/16. I'm 23 now. Classic song and still brings back the memories from the first time I heard it.
i love yellowcard; their music has love song lyrics without all the slow chords n stuff and instead replaces that with punk/rock for more energy. :) yellowcard is amazing
The orange rain is a symbol of hope..... when u see orange rain through a hard time its sopoused to calm u down and bring your spirits back up so u can go forth and live on
i love yellowcard because unlike many other bands, they haven't completely changed their sound, yes they've grown up but their still Yellowcard♥ they haven't sold out like many band out there.
The line 'And it's still so hard to be who you are but you've come this far with a broken heart' really defines my life rn tbh. thank you yellowcard for existing
Went to a concert last year where I was able to actually meet Yellowcard. I was so excited I wrote and gave them a letter expressing how much they mean to me and I mentioned this song specifically. Come concert time I'm in the front row jumping and singing my head off when this song comes on. I'm not sure if it was coincidence or not but Sean looked me dead in the eye and blew me a kiss. I will never forget that moment and it's things like that that make Yellowcard the best band of all time
Very happy memories are pouring into me now. summer of 2009 in the Philippines when I heard this song on an FM station, until now I still listen to it, it feels good to be a child again.
In their time, these songs were massive hits. Like countless other amazing songs, the will slowly fade into obscurity and only people like you and me will be able to remember how amazing this music was. It was our music.
I personally think this is their best song. better than Ocean Avenue, despite that being their big song. I can't wait to buy this album soon. I love the video too. very creative.
I love this song more than words can say. One thing about yellowcard - you're either the drummer, the violin guy or Ryan Key. Nobody has ever known who the other guys are :)
Ryan Mendez (lead guitar since 2005-06), Josh Portman (bassist since 2012) and their former bassist was Sean O'Donnell. Also, the drummer, who just left, was Longineu Parsons and the "violin guy" is the awesome Sean Mackin. YC rocks!
I used to listen to these songs about 12 years ago when I was in highschool. Sometimes I get those melancholic callings to revisit and listen to those. Still fantastic pieces of music, sadly I made some decisions that left my life empty on the relationship side of things. So I cannot really light up the sky for anyone as I did not take certain chances I should have. I always loved those slow build ups like it starts at 2:25
The clouds towards the beginning of the video kinda looks like the "Rhino" from James & the Giant Peach & the first lady you see looks like one of James' Evil Aunts! Love Yellow Card!
yellowcard come back!!!!!! return us the great music u make!!!! lyrics, vocals, music sound AMAZING oneof the greatest bands i ever heard can't think of a single song i dislike and eventhough the vid 4 this song is weirf and with gatorade raining all overthe place this is one of my top 10 favorite songs, seriously not only songs from the band but actually of everything i listen to!!!!!
i cant listen to this song with out thinking of my friend thats in Georgia and cry!!!!!!!! you dont dedicate this song to somebody and then yell at them saying i will never like you and i will never go out with you!!!! i still LOVE yellowcard regardless of what my friend did
I never was really into this band until i saw them live because my cousin loves them, and now i listen to this song atleast five times a day. I'm hooked on Yellowcard. 3
this reminds me of the episode of Kenan and Kel when it was raining orange soda, and Kel was singing "I'm driiinking orange rain, I'm driiinking orange rain"

This song never gets old. The hook is perfect.
So I hadn't listened to Yellowcard for a few years, and Pandora played this song. It nearly made me cry. I love you Yellowcard. Thanks for giving us your music. 🖤
I was saying the exact same thing and had the same feelings the 2000s and 2010s truly was something. Especially the music.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👌
Definitely took me back in time when I listened to this song. Such great times
It's cool hearing about another pandora user haha. Yeah yellowcard is great, i only recently discovered them (thanks to Matt Cutshall's emo's not dead videos)

This is my favorite Yellowcard song of all time.
Move over, Ocean Avenue.
Heard them play their finalworldtour here in Ft Lauderdale, FL! Goodluck! Will be missed, Yellowcard!
Funny how this Charles dude brought everyone here when I was listening to this song when I was 15/16. I'm 23 now. Classic song and still brings back the memories from the first time I heard it.

yellowcard is love, yellowcard is life
I can thank Pandora for introducing me to tons of music that I forgot about and remembered a year and a half later
The orange rain is a symbol of hope..... when u see orange rain through a hard time its sopoused to calm u down and bring your spirits back up so u can go forth and live on
Back on time song! Thanks Yellowcard for this bang!!!
Still my all time favorite band.
i love yellowcard because unlike many other bands, they haven't completely changed their sound, yes they've grown up but their still Yellowcard♥ they haven't sold out like many band out there.
2:40 is just amazing drumming...Wow. He's AWESOME.

(: its cool when artists interact with the crowd. especially like that :D congrats
Israel Dillard I got VIP tickets so there was a meet and greet before the actual show
That must be been fucking awesome. I'm happy for you. It's because of Sean Mackin I wish I could play the violin and rock it like he does.
AWESOME!!!
from 2008 till 2016 and still counting .... best song ever
Lonso Alon Tisso uh 2017!
That drum part always brings me back.
Very happy memories are pouring into me now. summer of 2009 in the Philippines when I heard this song on an FM station, until now I still listen to it, it feels good to be a child again.
I will never understand why they put this album aside. One of the best album ever from the Pop Punk/Emo era ...
Things brings me back to my early teen years - cant believe this only has 2m views, deserves so much more
Woke up today with the chorus in my head.. It's 2021 5th day of the 2nd month.
This was my favorite song back in school, feels so nostalgic :D
Marga me too
Thanks to Matt Cutshall for always reminding that "Emo's Not Dead"
Hahahaha we love Matt Cutshall

Dunno why these masterpieces aren't famous.
In their time, these songs were massive hits. Like countless other amazing songs, the will slowly fade into obscurity and only people like you and me will be able to remember how amazing this music was. It was our music.
still after all these years, I love this song and this video to death..
This is the ONLY song to ever be stuck in my head for over three days... not that there's anything wrong with that, this song is just so awesome...
I personally think this is their best song. better than Ocean Avenue, despite that being their big song.
I can't wait to buy this album soon.
I love the video too. very creative.
It's insanely underated Yellowcard song.
I love this band. Practically grew up with their music. Love Sean's violin. Wish they were getting back together. That would make a lot of ppl happy!
I love this song more than words can say. One thing about yellowcard - you're either the drummer, the violin guy or Ryan Key. Nobody has ever known who the other guys are :)

2 million seriously... great song deserves more...
You're making a choice to live like this
And all of the noise - I am silence
We already know how it ends tonight
You run in the dark through a firefight
And I would explode just to save your life
Yeah, I would explode
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me tell you why
I would die for you
Let me light up the sky
I can't find a wall to pin this to
They're all coming down since I've found you
I just wanna be where you are tonight
I run in the dark looking for some light
And how will we know if we just don't try
We won't ever know
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me tell you why
I would die for you
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me make this mine
I'll ignite for you
Let me light up the sky
Just for you tonight
Let me help you fly
'Cause you won't have time
To cover your eyes
Or get your disguise
They won't ask you why
They'll just watch you die
And it's still so hard to be who you are
So you play this part
And the show goes on
But you've come this far with a broken heart
Yeah, you've come this far
And you're broken
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me tell you why
I would die for you
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me make this mine
I'll ignite for you
I'll ignite for you
Let me light up the sky
Light it up for you
Let me tell you why
I would die for you
And it's still so hard to be who you are
But you've come this far with a broken heart
And it's still so hard to be who you are
But you've come this far and you're broken
Let me light up the sky
Let me light up the sky
