Can you explain to me why is ES (magic resistance) good on storm? I am not kidding, just don't understand, was it cuz of Zeus? Is it good vs Lesh or QOP? Or is it good on them? Cuz I was looking at passive, and you don't really gain mana from it. GG.

Hi there! I've been having the same question for quite a long time and today finally tested the ES on storm spirit. As far I understood, the key thing about this item is that it regens your mana while getting hit by the enemy spells and the most interesting part about this is that it doesn't really matter if the spell damage type is pure, magic or physical (you can test in the demo lobby: timber's q for pure damage, zeus's w for magic and alchemists q and w for physical damage type). The next important thing is the fact that ES regens your mana before any reductions.

Besides, the item give a lot of survivability with the 550hps and magic resistance. With the 7.36 patch, storm likes the ES even more with the Sange & Kaya's latest nerfs (it no longer provides status resistance and costs more)

In this case, the player on the video bought Eternal Shroud against Zeus, Venomacer, Hoodwink and SF as they rely on their spells most of the time (magic resistance and mana convertion).
