If it wasn’t a story, and he wasn’t supposed to be the ultimate evil in the world, I believe that, if he didn’t desire so much to walk in the sun, Muzan wouldn’t have created so many demons. Maybe he would’ve created a few like himself, some bodyguards, or even enough for a small state or something. Think of it like Dracula, Blade, or other stories of good natured vampires or monsters. If they didn’t need to feed on people, and could live among people like normal, would they really be a threat?
