Hi Stephanie, once again you bring us a wonderful tutorial. I will never find the words to explain how grateful I have been to have found this channel at a difficult time in my life when I needed to focus on something other than my health. I became ill and had to retire early from a great 25 year career .Because of your wonderful teaching skills, bead weaving has become my life saver. Being home for the first time ever with limited mobility was difficult. Finding your channel was a lifesaver for my mental health. This pattern worked so nicely on a 17.5x12.5 mm oval blue apatite stone. I was also able to use the same bead count on a Swarovski 4568 18x13mm that is a rectangle with curved corners. Thank you 🙏.
Hello Stephanie You have taught me so much!! I am completely grateful for your channel. You are a wonderful and awesome teacher. I just wanted to say thank you and God bless you always 😊
Yet another beautiful project. I have a funky, smallish, oval shaped stone that I picked up from the shore of Lake Erie. I think you've finally convinced me that I will be able to bezel it and finally, get it out of the "stuff" drawer. Thanks, Stephanie, for all your projects, creativity, and encouragement you have provided us.
I have several gemstones that my mother made when she did lapidary as a hobby. I can now make bezels for them and begin wearing them, I'm so excited to begin working with them. Thank you Stephanie for teaching how to do this.❤️🌹
I'm off to the bead shop for some 18x13 Flat Back Oval Gemstone Cabochons. Stunning work again. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Excellent vid, excellent teacher! MYTNT 🙏🏼💐🦄🌈🇦🇺
Great video. For weirdly-shaped cabs I found using a right angle weave base works really well; then it doesn't matter if the count is odd or even as you can peyote off the RAW base.
You got me started on cabochons and now I own dozens of all sizes, stones, and glass. I am going to try my hand at making some of my own with the clear glass cabs. Thanks for this series, I have learned so much from you and am having a ball!
Hi Stephanie! Like other people who commented i here, I have learned so much from you and I am eternally grateful! I was injured severely by a drunk driver and so I’ve been doing a lot of beading because it’s pretty much all I can do. I haven’t finished watching this video yet but I have a 10 x 14 crystal that is rectangular in shape and I was wondering if there was a formula of some kind that would help me to determine how to bezel this particular crystal. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated! I have all shapes and sizes of stones and cabs and this will help me to do some thing with them. Thanks again so very much for your tutorials, guidance and excellent tips and tricks! All the best to you!
Perfect timing, I have cabochons galore (I seem incapable of resisting pretty bits of geology!) and now I can actually use them so thank you for this, your timing is perfect (I’m letting the ads run in the hope it will help you continue your stirling work)
I used this as basis for bezeling my first cabochon (though I didn't have delicas, so used miyki seed beads in 11 and 15), and when trying to decide what to make of it I decided I *really* love the way the ring you put on your pinkie looks. 'cause what's not to love about an oversized pinkie ring?
The cab that you are still working on looks like a waterfall lol it’s very pretty and can’t wait to unpack the new house and get back into beading..l..this ring is gonna be my 1st pretty to be made , thanks
As always, another beautiful project and a great tutorial. Thank you! You always seem to have so many projects done I was just curious how much time you spend beading on average. I find that I used to bead a lot more. Lately I seem to watch more videos and buy more supplies than I actually use even though my plan is always to get back to the bead mat.
Thank you 🙏 I probably do some kind of beading or bead related work every day😊 It’s my joy as well as my second act 🌻🙏🌸 I think we all have times when we watch more than we bead. Then suddenly inspiration strikes! I hope you get inspired soon 🥰
Thank you for yet another great video. I love your rings and wide bands. My problem is my fingers are short and fat and the wide bands do not work. I have a hard time finding an attractive narrower band that is a little different but substantial looking. The bands that are too open don't seem firm enough and some of the smaller bands are not pretty. Sometime maybe you could design a pretty narrow band for a ring, for us short finger girls. See you next time and thanks again.
Awesome tutorial Stephanie!! My favorite is the amazonite stone ring ( if tha ts amazonite) .You make everything so easy to understand. You're an excellent teacher. Please keep the tutorials coming. Sincerely your new friend from Florida Melissa Doucette
Only problem I have with the no more oops mat is my triangle trays for picking up beads do not fit lengthwise to scoop leftover beads up. Love it, hate the clean up
I’ll ask again on this video - how to figure out how many 11/0s needed to start for different sized stones? Is it trial and error or a formula? Thank you.
Buenas tardes soy de Colombia, por favor 🙏:traducir en español,descripción del material, cuántas vueltas requiere, en cada vuelta cambia de tamaño,los diferentes números muchas dudas....felicidades proyectó muy bonito gracias 🙂😊
Where do you get the cabochon stones you use? What do you pay on average per stone. I’m looking for an oval Garnet with a flat back I want a pretty stone, but don’t want to pay a fortune. It’s my first time doing this. I want to make a statement bracelet and my birthstone is garnet.
Thank you soooo much for such an incredibly detailed, and, well filmed tutorial!! I've been wanting to learn how to bezel properly for a long time! I'm looking forward to learning some more! 👍🏻🙏🏼❤

I have really bad arthritis in my hands which makes my knuckles large. Would it work to use a stretch thread at least for the band? Any suggestions. If I make it to go over my knuckles it is to large for where the ring usually sets.
Hi Stephanie. I am having trouble making my 15/0’s fit on face of my bezel. You mentioned using Charlottes-13/0. Where is the best place to order them online? Thank you.
Thank you Stephie for this video. As I mentioned last time I do have plenty of these gem stones.. I believe i purchased from Firemountain gems a couple of years ago. I like the bead weaving skill you share with us here. God Bless. Tis a pity I have seed beads but they aren't delica's as you recommend often 😕 Anyways Thanks once again. God Bless
You can try the regular seed beads for your bezel. They do work with crystal bezels so it’s very possible you can use them for your cabochons. Let me know how it goes 😃
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry or really. Will surely give it a try once I get my thread orders in. This COVID thing really did us in. But in time I promise
hi there stefeine sorry if I spelled your name wrong im a bad speller, what if someone wares a smaller size ring what to do make band less wider. thank u cindy ford.
Your spelling is fine 🙏😊🌻 You can make a narrow band by starting with less beads. Make it an even number, let’s say six instead of eight. Then do your even count peyote.
Another gorgeous design! What are the Charlotte beads? I remember you mentioning them awhile ago in another video, but I’ve never ordered them... they’re smaller than a 15°? Thank you for sharing this beautiful design!
Nails by Sharon H Charlottes are beads that have a little spot of faceting on them to give them a bit of sparkle. It’s just one little nick on one side. I love working with them, mainly in size 11 but they come in several sizes.
In addition to Jo’ s answer, a 15/0 Czech Charlotte bead is a bit smaller than a 15/0 Japanese seed bead so it might fit better in a very small space. My pleasure to share as always 😊
I used 15/0 Czech Charlottes. They are a tiny bit smaller than a regular Japanese 15/0 so they are helpful if you need just a little more decreasing in the center.

Are you using a beading needle? And Fireline beading thread? It shouldn’t get stuck, especially a size 12. Try a John James or a Pony Beading needle.
