If you've lived in Japan (as I have) you'll fully appreciate the nostalgic essence of this movie...Do yourself a favour, grab your popcorn, light the fireplace, sit back and enjoy the ride....
@@TheColinChapman It was actually filmed between 29 September and 8 November, 2002. Scarlett was born on 22 November, 1984, so she was indeed 17 years old.
Bill murray in japan for a whisky spot advertising, what kind of whisky? Maybe, four roses, whisky, cutty surk? Johnny walker? I dont know but i know rat pack i like them , old fashioned people in show business, Martin, Frank and the other..
Funny that you should say that but no I am not. I am an Xgen. There for I adore Bill Murray and completely respect our very talented Scarlet. I'm just voicing my opinion. You should allow others to do the same without your ridiculous over the top judgement.
You are of course entitled to your opinion! Meanwhile, Lost in Translation is considered a masterpiece. 7.7 rating on IMDB. The Academy gave Sofia Coppola an Oscar for Best Original Script. Bill Murray says it is his favorite movie that he has been in. Perhaps you were expecting something different. It is one of my Top 10 Movies ever made.
It’s my overwhelming favourite movie of all time whereas my mates say “nothing happens in it”! I lived in South East Asia for 2 years so the amusing culture shocks really resonated with me.

Pretty much my favourite movie of all time.
The movie that made me, become interested in Japan and Tokyo especially, wasn't neither animes or games.
Bad bad bad trailer. Movie is much more subtle and blistering in detailed beauty.
God I love this film. My Bloody Valentine's music was like a third character in the movie too
and to think that scarlett johansson was 17 in this movie. oh how time has gone fast
🍷👍 I know right.. Like Bill Murray and Scarlett?? HELLO!?
the movie was recorded in 2003, she was born in 1984. She was 19 during filming.

A bad trailer, makes it look like a weak comedy.

The beauty of the movie lays in the silence between the characters i suppose
@@kenolent8611 isn't "boomer" reserved for those born before Generation X?
