From watching this video, they look like the performed pretty well and actually conformed decently! When I first joined the hobby 2 years ago, I was kinda blind sided from how much things in this hobby cost lol. So naturally I was told to check out the Chyrax and ordered a set of them. Having nothing to compare them to I was happy enough that is until I got my first true proline predator compound tire. My first "real" tire was proline 1.9 BFG KM3 predator compound. Like you said, putting the difference of compound into words is hard lol. But you know exactly what you have when you feel the compound. There is a world of difference between the knock offs and real tires when it comes to compound. But i have found that the knock offs are a great tire for trailing. Nothing fancy needed when going out with friends and walking the trails. I use my good tires for comps or technical crawling. Great video!
Thanks for the awesome feedback! Your experience definitely mirrors my experience as well. As you said, the knock offs have their place and advantages but the win goes to the real deal.
@@SonoranScaleStudios Absolutely! Hands down lol. I tell everyone there is nothing wrong with saving some money when possible and buying off Amazon. I'm all for some beadlocks. But I tell everyone do not skimp on electronics and tires. Such a better experience
WOW great in site brother. I have seen these as well. I almost pulled the trigger but didn't. I had a similar experience with Injora Chyrax. Looked great but from my experience didn't perform as well on any terrain that the real Hyrax tires did. Great vid!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Same experience here with chyrax tires, true case of “you get what you pay for”. These particular clones are far softer (not in a good way) than any of the clone hyrax i have tried. Thanks for the positive words!
These are made out of Butyl Rubber. I have a set on the way myself for my Gen8 AXE. Hard to find these or Ottsix tires in stock damn near anywhere. Figured these would get through until I can get the real ones in a Red.
That makes sense, butyl rubber sounds exactly right! Interesting that the clones offer a similar version on Amazon of Ottsix as well, full sidewall lettering and all just cheaper compound. They do get the job done and the price is right.
@@SonoranScaleStudios Aye, Sadly, liki HPI, if everyone just buys the cheaper clone items HPI wont be around for much longer. or Ottsix or Pitbull. After the Baja 5B clone job, HPI all but went tits up. They're just now, nearly a decade later, able to start back putting stuff out. But the 5B as a Platform was a HUGE Money maker. Sadly, HPI hardly got any.

I have pit bull rock beasts on my Scx10 and I love them!
Great tires! Do you have the XL or the XOR?

Great video and sweet crawling spot!
Thanks much! If you’re ever in the Phoenix area let’s crawl!

Nice!😁😁👍👍
👏👏
You can save 50$ with these, personally I’d rather spend the extra 50$ and have the performance. Plus you need rims so there’s another 30$/60$
I’m right there with your line of logic👍
As soon as they sort out the compound people will start buying them
I agree. I support buying the real thing but these in a better compound would be pretty tempting for sure!
