Almost 40 years ago when I left the Philippines and became an American citizen, my admiration and love for Miss. NORA is still here in my heart. I love u then, I love her still and will love her forever. From Philippines to USA.
Ditto. I left in 1979 settled in California with family. Didn’t think of the Superstar because of busyness with raising a family. I am just now bingeing with anything about our AG. I think I’m addicted to the old concerts and everything about her. It was like the old days in Pinas. Seeing her old & new pictures, she really was and still a beautiful soul. Oh how I wished that I talked to her back when she was in Sacramento and saw her at one of the places in our area. I was so shocked when I realized that she was a few feet from me. Nagkasalubungan, I saw her nunal, passed by me then my realization it was her. I backtracked, looked back around the corner, I saw her looking at me but decided not to bother her and left. I told a few people but now I realized that she’s a very down to earth person. Oh how I wish I reacted differently.

Such aura, charisma and huge presence for a small lady. My first physical encounter with her was a bit like yours. Ang layo ng tingin ko eh nasa tabi ko na pala but thankfully I was able to mutter a few words with her :) and got a big hug from her. Maybe there will be a next time for you and it will be more eventful. You'll never know. Fingers crossed!

She’s my brother-in- law’s favorite singer. Menchu Apostol has so much respect for her, the one with the Golden voice! One time, he made me listen to a recorded song on a cassette. Meant you was the king of Philippine jazz. So this song is jazz. I said what a beautiful voice. He made me guess who the singer is. I gave many names, but no luck. When he said that’s Nora Aunor, I was in utter shock, but at the same token, highly amazed. He said Nora didn’t want it recorded. I don’t remember exactly what this song was, but until this day, it’s stuck in my mind. Norris voice is a natural, God-given.

She’s my brother-in- law’s favorite singer. Menchu Apostol has so much respect for her, the one with the Golden voice! One time, he made me listen to a recorded song on a cassette. Meant you was the king of Philippine jazz. So this song is jazz. I said what a beautiful voice. He made me guess who the singer is. I gave many names, but no luck. When he said that’s Nora Aunor, I was in utter shock, but at the same token, highly amazed. He said Nora didn’t want it recorded. I don’t remember exactly what this song was, but until this day, it’s stuck in my mind. Norris voice is a natural, God-given.
