- Hi, some time no see. This is the piece I have mentioned in my facebook page that I would come back with-Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP5 Rain.
I'm during my summer vacation now so I can not use the piano at my school. So I went to a friend's music studio to record this piece.Many thanks to him.
About this arrangement: I tried to make it better than my past arrangements, but things are not always so easy. The ending is interesting by the way. Now I'm really addicted to doing my own arrangements and I have just begun my next project. Since I'm enjoying my vacation, I have plenty of time to learn and work.
I want to express such emotion though the cover: there are difficulties, desperation, but after struggling and fighting, we can see light and hope finally.
Anyway, I just respect what I have arranged for this song even though it is not satisfying enough.(Both arrangement and playing are not perfect enough) Still, Hope you like it, and thanks for your watching!

Thank god somebody understands. The lack of subs he has is one of the world's mystery. James Chou is indeed one of the deities I worship. Check out his Aoi Tori video too the technicality and skill is beyond Animenz into the realm only gods can enter

I was taking a stroll in the drizzling rain today (without an umbrella) with this on loop, under a beautifully overcast sky. It was one of the best experiences of my life (even though this reminds me of Maes Hughes *uncontrollable sobbing*). Sometimes, the simplest things can bring you great peace. Thank you so much for this beautiful rendition.
You have a very similar arrangement style as animenz in his early days. Its one of his oldest styles where he used a wide variety of variations (sometimes too much) to try to encompass every aspect of the song. If you read his discontinued wordpress blog, he sometimes mentions that simplicity is the best.
Multiple voices are great, but sometimes, it's distracting and it often detours from the original rendition of the song.
I've also had conversations with him before, and he said the same thing regarding arranging for contemporary songs. Technicalities are great, but knowing when to display them will gasp your audience more than just placing it there.
This might not be your best (I still prefered your ikenai BORDERLINEEEEEEEEE) arrangement, but it's the trial and error that makes arrangements better each time. (speaking from experience :X)
Regarding this vid, I felt that you had a certain restraint and you didn't go all out (probably because you aren't used to the touch of the piano). Nevertheless, you did would've out-performed alot of ani-pianists out there with those skills.
yeah, to tell the truth I'm not quite satisfied as I have mentioned in the discription, and about what you said I also get some similar advice from animenz or other my friends since simplicity sometimes is the best. Anyway, I don't require that I can reach a very high level at once, since I just begun to do, hope that I can take step making progress. And at last, thank you for your long coments

I really love this song, especially the intro. I'm picky about piano covers because they fail to replicate the sound of the intro. Sometimes it's their bass, sometimes it's the melody. *But your intro is just perfect!* Just like Sid's.

The last time i clicked a video that fast, was animenz We are. But srsly i love the emotions. The hyped Refrain and the slow passage at 3:20 was great. Playing some of those ridiculous arpeggios without noticeable mistakes, especially towards the end with the right hand, must have taken a huge amount of practice. Impressive!
