Having severed for over 24 years in the military I have suffered from anxiety most of my military career hitting the weights and getting an hours of relief is what motivates even know as I am retired. Having people like Jay putting out great motivation information and jus being a all around amazing person is also what motivates me to keep push to achieve my goals.

I had every magazine Jay was ever in, I had the posters, went to the shows, met Jay a couple times, trained in the same gym. They say don’t meet your idols. I say surround yourself with the people that are chasing the same dreams as you. We’re all brothers in iron, and if I had to do life all over again tomorrow, I’d head straight to the gym and start all over again

Honestly dude for me it’s UA-cam because I don’t like to be on social media I’d rather be in the shadows putting in the work. I grew up on your DVDs and Ronnie and others and it inspired me then. But now I watch everything here and there’s so much more available information thanks to guys like you. I’ve always idolized you, and many of the top pros so to see you getting through life besides the gym is also a motivation. But what’s most motivating to me is watching ANYONE putting in insane amounts of work and wanting more of themselves,/demanding more of themselves. Your work ethic is what inspires me the most because the clock is always ticking and you can’t waste one single second of it. I watch you and guys like Tom Platz and I listen to the words and close my eyes sometimes just to let it all absorb, and then try to pull out those sayings or advice in my head when I’m pushing myself into failure. When I don’t want to do another I think about your work ethic and what would you do? And it motivates me to get it done.

Jay's videos are a motivation. I'm actually a severe alcoholic/addict. Before the addiction however, I loved going to the gym. I would go when I was 14/15 years old. Love the gym but the only thing that keeps me from it is addiction. The brief times when I am sober, is when I am consistently going to the gym. It'll only lasts months, but I get so dedicated to it that I usually end up bigger than more than 2/3 of the guys in there after awhile. I must be doing something right when I can stick to the goal....The gym and being muscular and in shape is the only thing that I ever choose OVER alcohol or my drug of choice.

I made working out the reason to become healthier many times. I also left it and really made it out that gutter by myself and than came back to just become stronger for myself. I want to become the best that I can be. I don't like to overdo things either. That feels unhealthy and so does giving up. I want people to get a fair shot and we deserve to know the truth.

You’re absolutely right Jay. I know I worked out better at my gym, I thought it was the environment of people doing their workouts. But you are right about the chaotic afternoons, they don’t motivate me more, I enjoy my workouts more with less people, it really allow me to focus more and hit all the machines. Getting lost into the workouts. Thank you for the motivation Jay. Also it’s nice that you FaceTimed your father, enjoy those calls! ,,, I turn 30 this month and my dad is at the end of his life now on hospice after battling cancer. Working out is an escape but is also super hard to balance my fitness with being there to care for him all while working a full time job. . . Anyways enjoy Vegas! I lived in Green Valley for 10 years. I miss it very much. God bless.

Yes Jay!!! For me it is a form of therapy. I focus on what I see and feel myself do and everything Im dealing with just starts melting away. Your videos and posts are motivating but you also just come off as a real person and that makes what I hear easy to connect with. For me, the people that give the effort are motivating. From the people at Planet Fitness that try, to the older folks that outwork the younger crowd at LA Fitness, and anywhere that I see the more seasoned lifters showing something unique (yeah Im looking for new techniques) is all motivating. Thats what I enjoy. On the flipside I also run, and its a wierd thing for me. I hate running, but I enjoy the challenge and how far I can go and that is motivating. And for those who come to socialize and play with their phones more that working out, they motivate me by reminding me of what I dont want to be.

Got to say though, at 58 and pushing myself at the gym knowing I am doing more than a lot of young bucks is motivation in itself.

My biggest motivation is JayTv on UA-cam! 🎥🏆 You managed to take my training , my motivation and self-confidence to the next level!🍀 I've had a lot of setbacks over the past 5 years! Jay and Dave with your passion and authenticity you made it that I believe in myself again and have found my strengths again!🥇 My goal at almost 40 years of age is to be in the best shape ever before! I am so grateful for this great channel and the great people behind it! 🥇 🏋️🍀
I also follow the food and travel channel of Mark Wiens , whom I also know personally before he was as well known as it is today! If someone is also interested in food and travel, he with his channel is definitely one of the best in this segment!
    Thanks Jay and Dave💪🏻💯

Having a healthy lifestyle & going to the gym daily motivates me both for my mental & physical health.
The process, learning, improving, setting & reaching goals is satisfying & motivating for me.
You are honestly the best fitness person on UA-cam for me both in terms of character, experience & overall video quality. I thank you very much.
I’m 3 years sober, 2 years at the gym (4-5days a week religiously) I went from 98kg sick, crazy , unhealthy to 80kg healthy, balanced & happy again. ( body fat went from +25% to 13%)
UA-cam is my preferred way to consume content. You are a huge inspiration, motivation & I want to thank you.
When you have time can you please teach us each movement/exercise, workout day you do.
I do full body 4-5days a week. Each day using different exercises, weights, machines ti target different parts of each muscle group.
Any tips, form, position & teaching exercises from you will be great.
    Thanks Jay

UA-cam is the best outlet for information. You can learn anything from detailing cars to fixing a part of the house. Ronnie Coleman videos of him training always makes everyone want to step up their game especially in the gym. I like seeing you Jay show us proper form and exercises! The jaywalking is cool too

100% agree with not needing to go the gym to be motivated. I have my setup at home and look forward to training every time! I do it because I want to and I love it. Motivation is temporary, discipline is a skill. Keep killing it! 💪❤️🏋️‍♂️🤩🤠

That was well put,Motivation is temporary and Discipline is a skill. I’ve been in a rut for a year and I’ve been saying I’m not motivated but now I see that I have been looking at it from the wrong angle. 👍🏼

@@wasntme3651 it completely changed my outlook on working out when Dal Di Stefano from MindPump said it. It really stuck with me.

The biggest difference I've found over the years was Ronnie Coleman motivated me to go to the gym in the past. Jay's videos motivate me to take better care of myself in the gym. I respect the hell out of Ronnie Coleman, his work ethic, and his achievements. But Jay has taken such good care of himself, is healthy and walking around, looks fantastic, and doesn't take for granted how lucky he's been. That's about as good a blueprint for life during and after competing as you can find. Most inspiring!
