Really nice vid. Smooth ride up at 12:09. Trails are beautiful.
Great videos just got my beta 300RE and love it so far
Thanks for your review. I'm from Colombia South America and the type of trails we ride down here are very similar to the ones in the video. It helped me to made my mind for a beta 300, I was choosing from the 250 or 300.
Great video, enjoyed it alot. Useful comments and could hear the bike well. Good stuff man from melbourne australia
Legitimate review from a legitimate rider. Other noobTube reviewers pay attention.
Excellent video, and great riding!
Nice riding buddy . Thanks for the video 👌👍
Your videos are never long enough!
Thank you for the review. I’m trying to decide between a KTM 150xc and a Beta 200rr. My tails are nothing like yours. Mine are flowing but lots of turns and small elevation changes. About 15-18 mph stuff. May just get a Bete 250rr for the extra refinements. I’ve never had a modern dirt bike because I enjoy my old ones but I’m at the point in my life we’re I just want to ride not wrench. I really enjoyed this review, thanks.
Awesome trail!
You nailed it, these bike have ridiculous low end grunt and the power is almost too responsive lol. Last time I rode one i hit something and gave it a little shot of throttle by accident and it nearly sent me into the weeds.
I stress out every time you go over wooden bridge. I crashed hard on one once and it always freeks me out :-)
If you ride this place often, you have likely fallen off at least one bridge.
Them trails are bad ass
Hard not to become a 300 2t fan boy if you spend more than 15 minutes on one. I tried to resist, then rode one for a day.
I would love to ride where you ride, exactly what I'm looking for, i have a 19 yz250fx and stock rear sprocket is 51 and i just put a 53 on it dying to check it out, probably this sun
I am riding a 2017 300RR my first 2T and really like the bike. Not a lot to compare against other that a few quick rides on friends bikes.
What are the biggest changes from the 2018 Beta that your rode as compared to the 2020, suspension, engine, frame/bike feel???
I get that the counter-balanced engine is an improvement from past Betas but not as smooth as the KTM and Husquvarnas. That doesn't bother me as I am not bothered by the vibrations on my 2017.
Is there a switch to turn off the headlights? Or only high and low beams? Thanks
gnarly
The forks soften up a good bit as they wear in, you may want to go back to stock settings if you were to keep that same bike for a while. I ended up going three clicks hard on the compression after mine settled in, and I like a bit on the soft side.
Bike has almost 40 hours on it. Whether forks need to "break in" is a topic for debate.
Great videos you have. I spent the past few weeks getting through every single one of them. I'll say this, you have no fear of heights. I don't think it would matter how good my balance is there is no way I could ever ride on those cliff faces that you all do. Question. In a few videos I observed one of your riding mates with a KTM sporting a Red Bull graphics kit. Any idea where he acquired those graphics? I know you can't them directly from KTM unless you own a 450SX Factory Edition bike and the model your friend was riding was definitely not the Factory Edition bike.
Keep posting those great vids!
@Rod Smith, thanks for watching. I think he had those graphics made up at a local company PTI Graphics.
A bucket just in case!!
Awesome trails!! Thinking about coming up to Canada this summer live right here In wa do you know what it will take to get my bike across the border!? If I even need anything.
I would take the title with you just in case but usually nothing is needed. We have WA riders up here every weekend. I've heard of border patrol not liking you taking bikes covered in mud across (Canadian and US soil are not compatible I guess) but I've never had an issue.
Hope you found Meg and got your 200RR back.
What are your suspension settings on the 300?
Rain mode is like" where's the beef"
Amazing trail & stellar riding!! I am picking up a new Beta in a few weeks. This review has really got me sold on the 300rr! How tall & how heavy are you? I really appreciate the feedback. Cheers!
May I ask what action cam youre using? That is some great quality. thanks!
Another grate video man. Any chance of you getting your hands on a Xtrainer?
where are you riding? is it in the lower mainland? vancouver, abbotsford, langley, mission.....?
Hey PNW, what setting did you go with on the shock? My forks feel pretty good but the shock I have no idea. Feels a bit harsh. Went down "Tiretrack" last weekend and ate it hard on the triple step down. Bike slipped out right at the top and I slid down all 3 steps on my left side. Munched the pipe and rad. Had Wally fix the pipe and rad... $55 for each lol
I liked the shock and did not touch any of the settings, not sure what baseline they had it set at. If you meant "tire trail" then that's a really hard trail! Sounds like you need to add some rad guards soon!
@@PNWEnduro I have been trying to get rad guards but no one has any for the 2020. Gnarly is bringing some in for me. And yes. Second day riding in about 15 years and they took me down Tire Trail lol you know the rock face switch back that has 3 big steps? Slid from top to bottom on my left side bruised shoulder, ribs and hip. Bent the pipe around the frame and it had a pretty good dent, rad was so bent it kinked the bottom rad hose. Bent the rad back enough to unkink the hose and rode out the rest of the way. Pipe and rad are now fixed and look like nothing happened. Wally is amazing with pipes.
That's one of the hardest trails on the mountain! I know that spot, it's very difficult.
Another great ride, may I ask how agile is the 300 given its heavier weight, or is the 200 unbeatable in the single track?.
I'm the same weight as you but couple inches taller, don't want to go with a 200 if 300 is just as agile.
Have Beta sorted the main bearing issues some 250/300 bikes suffered with, the 200 has a better reliability record I understand. I ride a Husqvarna FE 350 but want to ride more technical/single track next year.
Regards, Simon.
Hey Simon, the 200 will feel lighter and more agile due to less rotating mass in the engine. Both are good it just depends on your riding style. You have to shift a lot more and work the bike harder with the 200.
@@PNWEnduro thanks, I'm quite lazy on the FE 350 as you can imagine its grunty down low but a very tall seat height and quite heavy feeling, find it hard going in the tight stuff, would like to do some local training over here in woods and streams and nearly all the guys are on 2T!
Sounds like you would like the 300 better! Oh and yes I believe the bearing issues have been solved.
Awesome video. How did get the clickers on the forks. Is that a option from beta.
@@PNWEnduro ok that's wired. Iam getting the 300rr but it doesn't come with the clickers. You need a flat blade to adjust it.
@@PNWEnduro 2020 300rr just the standard I was going to get is in a week or so but I have rupture my Achilles tendon so I will need to wait. But the one in the shop dose not have clickers. What about the 200rr.
Maybe they come with different forks in your part of the world? The 200rr had the same forks.
Sounds like the bike had a little chain clacking going on. Probably needed tightening.
Have you ridden the xtrainer? How does it compare?
I've ridden a few, they are my least favorite Beta. Suspension is not up to par for my type of riding.
Who's the suppliers for Beta in Vancouver area?
@@PNWEnduro Yup got it - sorry I asked before you mentioned it in the video. Got to get me one of them.
Any time on the Xtrainer? and your thoughts if so...Thanks! Like your vids!
I've ridden a few, they are my least favorite Beta. Suspension is not up to par for my type of riding.
Have you had a chance to ride the 390 or 430 4t?
@@PNWEnduro I moved to Maple Ridge last year and am going to get back into riding. Haven't ridden in 10 years. Trying to decide between a 19 demo 430 rrs, a 20 390 rrs, or a 20 300 RR or 20 KTM 300xcw. Would you ever buy a demo?
I always buy new. Not to say a demo bike would be a bad idea but it depends who owns the demo and how it's been maintained. Some of those demo bikes live a hard life. Between the 430 and 390 I liked the short stroke motor on the 430 better than the 390 with a long stroke motor.
@@PNWEnduro it is a 19 430 rr-s with 100 hours on it at the Burnaby Honda/Beta dealer. Has a few extras and comes with 6 month warranty. Worn parts were replaced. Or I just buy new and pay a couple k more.
Sounds alright, what kind of riding are you planning to do? 6 month warranty is a big draw for sure.
Just to say that your videos are some of the best on UA-cam, you obviously put a lot of effort into them and it shows. Love the multi camera off bike shots you do, keep up the good work mate.
Thank you! I really appreciate the support and it motivates me to keep going.
