Oh come on You have the older model Of the Eco ATMs. As someone who has used the ecoATM to get rid of three and a half gallon size bags of old phones. I know a little bit about the machine. One one I think the reason why it wouldn't let you give it anymore is because it doesn't want the bin to be full. Also a trick I learned from doing it is swap off with someone else that can use the machine because if you try using again what you probably found out it declined you saying oh sorry I'm not going to take anymore of your phones but if you swap with someone else and then we'll be like. Oh hi welcome back and you can clear out the back and the span of a couple hours. Also and also glad you got a dollar for all those things. Most of the items I sold we're basically recycled because they couldn't be resold. Also, I think I saw the pretty recent phone which the game which was the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe and I think they only gave me like 12 bucks for it when at the time I think I was getting like 150 or something for it. Oh and that was the reason why the prices are so low according to some other video I watched in the past. It's because they buy for a cheap price so $12 and then Mark it up to make profit. The problem is they can make a balance between buying the phones and still marking them up to resell them.
Also out of nosiness I download the ecoATM app just to see how much they will give me for my current phone that I'm using right now a Google pixel 8. And they will give me a whole $2 😂
it's a scam. all of the working devices that are turned in for ripoff prices end up on ebay. I was curious about what it would give me for a perfect condition pixel 7 and it told me $17 lmao.
In 2016 I think I had put this sh!tty android phone in the machine to see how much I would get and it said seven dollars but for some reason I changed my mind and walked around for a little bit first but then I changed my mind again and nothing new had happened to my phone in the 30 minutes I was walking around the mall but when I put my phone in a second time they weren’t willing to give me any money 🤦♀️
@@KristenZianourry2015 yeah no suprise, it's a scam. I have tried other high end phones just to see what would happen and it even told me $30 for a galaxy s22. All the phone recycle places are a ripoff because they just resell them for a lot more.
In my area most of the people using the machines are thieves and stolen phones. The police are always at the machine getting peoples stolen phones out. One of the officers showed us how these people are able to sell even screen locked phones to the machine. You always see tweakers standing next to the machine with someone else who actually has an id and is dumb enough to help them selling the phone. It’s every day. No it's not a scam. I work on these kiosks, what do you expect reselling a phone, top dollar? You're either selling a phone you don't want anymore, in which case even if you get $10 then it's $10 you didn't have before and you got rid of something you didn't want. If you're a thief then expect to get less than you'd expect, plus expect to be arrested since you have to produce your driver's license and pose for three cameras taking your photo. Seen it happen.
