Oh come on You have the older model Of the Eco ATMs. As someone who has used the ecoATM to get rid of three and a half gallon size bags of old phones. I know a little bit about the machine. One one I think the reason why it wouldn't let you give it anymore is because it doesn't want the bin to be full. Also a trick I learned from doing it is swap off with someone else that can use the machine because if you try using again what you probably found out it declined you saying oh sorry I'm not going to take anymore of your phones but if you swap with someone else and then we'll be like. Oh hi welcome back and you can clear out the back and the span of a couple hours. Also and also glad you got a dollar for all those things. Most of the items I sold we're basically recycled because they couldn't be resold. Also, I think I saw the pretty recent phone which the game which was the Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe and I think they only gave me like 12 bucks for it when at the time I think I was getting like 150 or something for it. Oh and that was the reason why the prices are so low according to some other video I watched in the past. It's because they buy for a cheap price so $12 and then Mark it up to make profit. The problem is they can make a balance between buying the phones and still marking them up to resell them.

In 2016 I think I had put this sh!tty android phone in the machine to see how much I would get and it said seven dollars but for some reason I changed my mind and walked around for a little bit first but then I changed my mind again and nothing new had happened to my phone in the 30 minutes I was walking around the mall but when I put my phone in a second time they weren’t willing to give me any money 🤦‍♀️

@@KristenZianourry2015 yeah no suprise, it's a scam. I have tried other high end phones just to see what would happen and it even told me $30 for a galaxy s22. All the phone recycle places are a ripoff because they just resell them for a lot more.

In my area most of the people using the machines are thieves and stolen phones. The police are always at the machine getting peoples stolen phones out. One of the officers showed us how these people are able to sell even screen locked phones to the machine. You always see tweakers standing next to the machine with someone else who actually has an id and is dumb enough to help them selling the phone. It’s every day. I’ve never seen a normal person using it

This isn't a scam...this is what happens when you want to sell something asap. It's a guaranteed sell. This is why Gamestop rates are low, or pawn shops. The convenience of walking up, then walking away with a sale ends up costing you. That's just how it works. If you can wait, you should sell online. If you can't, this is a good option. Blows my mind when people don't take into account how this type of sell works. It isn't on consignment, you don't ship, it's instant.

    • @Trumpinator-47
      @Trumpinator-47 10 днів тому +1

It's defiantly taking advantage of people giving them no more than 20% of what the phone is worth, pawnshop would give you more money, they have huge overhead like the building, employees and electricity for the building.

I don't think it's a scam. You have the choice to accept it or not. A second generation iPhone is worth about 28 bucks. You got to remember people on eBay especially resellers tend to try to overprice things. eBay used to be the place you could get a good deal. Not anymore. You keep using the phrase sell for. Charged for them. I don't think anyone's buying them.

Your find you can't be Robbed priced
$1 for working phone that 100% an SCAM
because ecoATM need ID - which may mark the phone was an Robbed phone all they has to do is replace the owner phone with the phone they robbed of someone who never added an Apple ID account
an Unknown can setup facebook martet place and likey sold Robbed phones because who want an Box of phone
      Means
      1. Walmart never allow it ecoATM outside info so it be given for CHEAP
      2. Walmart willing to give the owner 0.4% earning of their phones and void paying them for an amount that people would think Good
      3. Are Walmart marking wish or temu giving good deals and do it like their problems if they add up who willing to buy it off them Vs an Bot that can't understand why $1 too cheap

I understand this thing. Sound like a scam but at the same time, you need to understand the machine. Cost the process to collect all those items. The delivery, the consumption of gas and the Ve called the need to use to move all that to take it to some place to disable and. Remove the parts on recycle and all that stuff that cost money. You know, it's not the same thing like that. You put it in eBay at the same time. You put on an eBay. You need to pay for the shipping and the time you go to to the Post Office or things like that. And the box and the label all the head is cast. It's not for free. That's mean whatever the company doing that. They have a cast involved. That's been why they go to kill you.$100 in your phone. You've got to cost another 50 or 60 bucks. To process your phone. It'll make any sense right there we go

I found it strange that for the older phones you didn't plug in it said it didn't power on, but also says the screen lights up correctly.
Would love to see how those machines work on the inside.
As for the machine saying it wouldn't buy any more phones, I guess there are separate storage compartments for all the bought phones and it was full. Kind of like ATMs if you forget to take the money out, it is also stored in a separate container to make sure all the money was pulled back in. If all those compartments are full, the ATM also will stop working.

Don't told me catilalisms bad right?Because it's a company. If it's you, you don't do the same thing, or you do everything for free. No, right is you got to do the same thing to recycle? Those devices you don't got to do for free.
Like I said before and maybe look like a scam but at the same time the cost to process all that

I think you got lucky or something. I swear I gave an iPhone 12 with no physical damage but would give no sim alert occasionally and I was offered less than 20$. I had 3 phones with no cracked screens and all less than $20

No it's not a scam. I work on these kiosks, what do you expect reselling a phone, top dollar? You're either selling a phone you don't want anymore, in which case even if you get $10 then it's $10 you didn't have before and you got rid of something you didn't want. If you're a thief then expect to get less than you'd expect, plus expect to be arrested since you have to produce your driver's license and pose for three cameras taking your photo. Seen it happen.
