Imsil Cheese Theme Park is the only experience-based tourist destination in Korea with the theme of Imsil Cheese

5. National Children's Family Music Festival
The 2024 Imsil N Cheese Festival will also host a nationwide Children's Family Music Festival.
Families with children under the age of 13 will participate and perform enthusiastic songs such as singing and dancing
It would be nice to participate and make memories of a beautiful autumn day.
During this year's festival, popular singers Park Ji-hyun, Kim Hee-jae, Jeong Sang-ju, and Son Tae-jin are expected to perform.
6. Cheese Storytelling
Father Jeong Ji-hwan, who was ordained a priest in 1958, came to Korea the following year in 1959.
Father Jeong Ji-hwan, who was appointed as the head priest of Imsil Cathedral in 1964, is a local farmer who is struggling with poverty due to the difficulty of farming
To help people, he planned to produce cheese. When making cheese was difficult, the priest learned and passed on cheese-making skills himself to local European craftsmen. In 1969, he established the Imsil Cheese Factory, and as the leader of a rural community, he ran a cheese factory with residents. In 1983, he left Korea for a year's treatment for multiple neurosclerosis.
After returning to Korea in 1984, Father Ji established the "Rainbow House" in Wanju, Jeollabuk-do, a rehabilitation center for the disabled
He devoted himself to the people and established the Rainbow Scholarship Foundation in 2009 to work for the disabled,
In recognition of this contribution, the Ministry of Justice granted Father Chung Ji-hwan Korean citizenship in 2016.
In September of the same year, the President established Korea's first cheese factory to revitalize the Imsil regional economy
After receiving the industrial packaging award, he frequently visited Imsil Cheese Theme Park, a festival venue, to communicate with urban residents
In the interview, he said, "I didn't do anything for anyone. I just did it with them."
When he died in April 2019, he was awarded the Moran Medal of Merit from the government.
