Kaiso is non existent & I believe now even hip-hop & rap is making a splash in Trinidad. The culture has changed once more (not for better I will say). This type of storytelling is gone.
very well said. i have noticed that some islands are teaching calypso, steelband and calypso composing in schools. hopefully, this is just a decline in calypso and not the death for the music i like and grew up with.
This is my favourite song by Mr Lord Kitchener he will be missed but his music still lives on.
