Nice short video to explain the prime focus. The mechanics of camera, T-mount, Barlow tube/lense and how these combine to change prime focus. Many videos gloss over this issue and instead, concentrate on the camera settings. Thanks for that.
Hi, i am also struggling with that. My question is can I only use barlow lens or I could use 0.5 Focal Reductor because my telescope is already at 900mm + APS-C which is making it unusable for Bigger targets
I personally have not used one of those screw in focal reducers, so can not comment. But if anyone else has tried this, let us know. Used a 2x barlow with my 12" Dob, prime focus which has a 1500mm FL, and got some decent single images of Jupiter using a crop frame EOS.
Hi! I have a sw150pds and a dslr, focusing is ok, but if I put a 3x barlow between them, I cannot achieve focus(outward problem) what do you recommend fixing this problem? Thank you!
Compared to the "P" range which needed a barlow for prime focus due to not enough inward travel, the imaging "PDS" version allowed prime focus without a barlow due to a shorter tube. Maybe an extention tube will help

Thank you! Hopefully I can find the right extension tube for it
But where we will place the lens?plzzz helppp
This is prime focus photography set up. No lens (eyepiece) is used
So technically ur saying that if we use a Barlow lens we can achieve better focus than the normal camera
No. I am saying if you do not use a barlow with this telescope DSLR prime focus, it will not focus on infinity. All explained from 1.20 - 3 mins
