I used to shop at the North Austin location. Great store!
They had a copy of vanguard bandits for the ps1 and I've been after that game for a long time. You always do a good job John showcasing all these different video game stores all over the country.
Dude, don't go to game over, go to Gamerz at the lakelinemall in Austin, It's probally one of my favorite retro game stores, at least in my area
The Game over in San Antonio kind of has a video game museum with different consoles in glass cases along with console boxes on the wall
Hey mine had that as well it was insane.
Oh, and I saw someone trade in a Virtual Boy the other day so that was awesome
I go there all the time!
went there earlier this year, pretty cool art gallery. they were hosting a katamari tourney when i went and it was neat to see
So many games and nothing but sports titles. Makes me appreciate places like A&C Games in Toronto.
michaelkaminski84 speaking of stores that rip off
I went to there once in San Antonio since I live there currently and I got the Call of Duty MW1 game for the PlayStation 3 I want to go back and see what else is available in the store
Other cities Game over is expensive, but go to San Antonio TX & games on Game over are way more affordable & have great prices & great deals.
never purchase from gameover videogames they are a detriment to the retro videogame community. in every location they line the walls up top with hundreds of retro console boxes literally taking them out of rotation and making it harder 4 gamers like us to find them. ask and they'll tell u they aren't 4 sale. all their games are overpriced. and don't ever try and trade in there they offered me $39 for a complete in box super Nintendo and complete in box turtles in time. lol seriously. then they turn around and rip us off with it. they prey on the retro videogame community and make it harder for us to find decent deals on our videogames. stick to offer up, flea markets, and local Facebook sells. you'll even find better deals on eBay and that's sad.
While browsing at one location, some fool brought in and sold a small Neo Geo collection, complete with a boxed AES. I left without buying anything because, yup, prices are comparable to Ebay. I visited a few weeks later. That AES was sitting inside one of the glass display cases while it's box was sitting up on the wall with the rest of their console box collection.
I love the video! This an awesome store! A museum of games you can actually buy! I love the the "Spartan " Kung Fu painting... game on!
This is the store I got my copy of Pokemon Silver and a few N64 games.
Oh hey, those guys are great.
Cool store! Great vid!
I dream about visit Store like this
we had a place just like this open a bout 3 years ago and it didn't even last a year, I wanted to buy some TGFX games there and it was out of business before I could even go get a game from them
Hey! Ive been to this store:)
If anyone is from the Austin area this store is located on 3005 S Lamar Blvd B-105B, 78704.
Victor Martinez they do have it in Round Rock too. North of Austin.
Nice walkthrough John!
john says fare prices but comments say otherwise. is it the same exact location?
I’ve been there before
That's it! I'm moving to Texas!
Damn John. I wish you would go back to reviewing games. I have followed you for so long. Since the release of your multiple consoles video. My opinion doesn't matter much but these videos of stores and shows and aftermarket consoles kill me. I miss the old Gamester81. COME BACK TO US JOHN!
Audio is definitely not synced up how you wanted it. Game Over is a pretty neat store. The one in the Dallas area has a little video game museum section.
That store is so overpriced with their stuff though. You're better off ordering online from EBay
Gamester81 how much did Game Over pay you to do this review?
I thought you weren't gonna do nothing but sell people stuff with your vids?
How is this selling people stuff? This is just showing a really cool store.
Gamester81 I think a better thing I could is that a lot of people want a more personal video from you and not just you showing people anothwr way to spend money. I like these vids but a lot of people wanna here something more personal from you I believe.
Gamester81 lol you can never win can you. Keep doing what you're doing.
Awesome store, subscribe to their newsletter for deals usually 30% off sometimes more. I drive an hour to visit them their main store is the best I forget his name but the dude with the long hair is very knowledgeable and friendly and it keeps me coming back. BTW that's the main store in the video.
He travels a lot for his job so he gets to visit many different game stores. Videos of the different game stores he visits are awesome. He is not selling anything, he is giving a tour.
Background music is fucking annoying
Still overpriced place tho
TheGameBoyMaster yup. basically a physical ebay
this store sucks lol... the prices are outrageous
i guarantee the only reason he is speaking highly of it is because he got a good deal for the air time.
yup never purchase from them they are a detriment to the retro videogame community.
they want $12 for anticipation on NES lol... my god I should go buy a bunch for $1 and sell them to gameover if that is how they work!!!
Rip off game store.
First, but nobody cares.
Jake Long I care.
