10/10 This video is honestly the best thing I’ve seen produced from TheAnimeMen ever. Everything in this video was done right for me. Take for example the transitions, especially at 1:00, they were spot on and fantastic. The settings they chose too was honestly just amazing. Not to mention the Funeral scenes which were sprinkled in and added at the perfect times in the song in order to really juxtapose the happy moments from the downright grim ones. Another interesting attention to detail was Gianni’s hair growing during the funeral which adds amazing symbolism of both growth and age. The ending is phenomenal, and for the first time in a while, I got chills after seeing the camera flash to all the photos of the late friend group. I like that it’s left a little vague on what happened to the group, and the fact that their eyes were scribbled out to show that even while they still seemed there, they were inevitably just Gianni’s cross to bear. This video is just truly impeccable, and in my opinion, a genuine work of art. While TheAnimeMen found success through short skits on TikTok, videos like this shows the groups ability to create amazing pieces that are full of vibrant shots, insightful symbolism, and a thought provoking message.

Uh, no... This MV has nothing to do with the lyrics. I wonder if you really know the meaning. There's a few japanese comments below telling this is really far from what the song is saying.
I feel that guy at the funeral, you just want to let go of it all. You want to end all your suffering but then you remember there are people counting on you. To be strong, your memories keep you sane. To help you remember that suicide should never be the way. To everyone feeling pressure right now, we are here for you. Don't give up.
I couldn't understand the song even with the CC on until I saw the English cover by rachie (Sayri is the one who wrote the English lyrics). The English CC here is a bit hard to understand. Almost like machine translated.

I cried. This is perfect. What I feel from watching them dance hapily together, having a blast, is sadness(beautiful moves from everyone tho). We know where this is going, the feeling when you watch them happy together makes you feel loneliness and sad cause you know that in the end, as the video portrayed, he won't be able to have that happiness again. Man in black (I am sorry that I do not know his name, I will call him MC) still have all his delusional friends in white, their eyes are all crossed out, he is not moving on from his friend in this moment. MC is recollecting all his beautiful time he had with his friends, the good time he had. He still sees his friends in the funeral, they even sat there, until they finally walked away and never be seen anymore after that point. Imagine how heartbreaking that would be. He can only have a blast with them in memories and it will not be a real thing anymore. This captures the fun, upbeat beat and depressive lyrics perfectly. Thank you for this beautiful video.
I also think that in the first part of the video, it seems like MC is the one who is suicidal as his expression keeps getting more and more depressed and he seems more indifferent to his friends as the video progresses (he is wearing black while all the others are wearing white) but in the end we find out that the ones who died were his friends exactly like in the original music video where the boy was the one who was actually suicidal.

Holy crap. Really thought y’all were gonna do this without knowing they actual lyrics. Ending hit hard and honestly put me in awe. Flawless. Just Flawless.
@@craxolate9872that's the joke XD there were a lot of memes last year about this song of people not knowing their meaning and how it makes them dance happily
I feel like this is the culmination of all those dance videos you guys have posted over the last year. Every element is mastered - the dance moves transitioning into other shots, the correct lipsyncing, even the overall teamwork. Somehow you outdid the Beastars video. One day you’re gonna outdo this too. 10 out of 10 - The guy who sent you the Eren impression voice message and got told to please hang out with girls
so for those who dont know this is a song posted by YOASOBI and it is a song about a girl who is in going to suicide and she is singing her depression, thinks the boy who fell in love with her and then they both die from jumping off a building. And these guys have made a remake of this song and it is in the memory of the person's friend who is conducting their funeral and it is the pst memory of them (According to the Song)
Today I just found this video and I just have to say... I thought it wasn't hitting the message of the song... until the second half began to show. The image of our main man remembering the good times with his friends who are now lost to him hit me like a truck. I'm so happy that Yoru no Kakera inspires people all over the world to create their own interpretation of the song, and this one was a solid HIT for me. I LOVE IT. AND I'm happy Ayase/YOASOBI loved it too! More power to you, guys!!! 💖💖💖
Man, this depicts how crazy the narrative of a song can be and how intense the emotions displayed during the funeral feel. The dancing portion is both a reaction we feel while listening to the song and the memories they had before death which gives me chills when I see the transition to the guy speaking on behalf of the dead. This represents the song's depressed nature in the joyful or erratic music playing in the background which represents how we suppress the tragic memories to keep a sane smile. The transitions from the happy moments to the funeral are well defined as the sudden climax of showing who died and giving hints throughout the video expresses the amount of buildup this event made as the people with scratched-out faces disappear and reveal they'd died. As a final momento to this masterpiece of mv. Angles, sudden effects, the lighting, and the amount of effort to the settings make this an absolute unit to watch. From detail to time the song and the mv up perfectly had me perplexed at how amazing the editing was. So I give this a 10/10 since it's done well and it's a Yoasobi song.
I love the idea that behind the scenes they are either screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs or aggressively lip syncing in silence with the track playing in the background. The transitions in this were so well done holyyyy
Wait. Not going to lie, I thought this was going to be a fun music video but that ending got me so badly. My mouth just dropped. Amazing job guys! I really liked the energy and the production behind this.
It fits in with the theme of the song. At first glance it sounds like a fun and upbeat song but if you look at the lyrics then you learn it's about loss, depression and suicide.
Also, props for the sing-able lyrics. You guys actually emulated the vowels and consonants of the original japanese lyrics to make it flow seamlessly with the rhythm written into it! It's a good translation too.
if you're talking about the English captions, then it was actually Yoasobi who wrote those lyrics! they made an English version of the song, look up "Into the Night" by Yoasobi
The subtitles are actually the lyrics to the official english cover which was translated and performed by the original artist, YOASOBI. They're one of my favorite artists rn because all of their songs they translate to english and release english covers that sound as good as the japanese originals.
Story: There were seven friends, friends since grade school, the boys. On one particular boy's night out, they decided to surprise their homie (the first guy we see) as it was his birthday; They decided that they would hit up all their favourite joints and spend all night celebrating. They first hit up a sushi shop one of the boys father owned and he worked in. They ate their fill, then decided to go to their favorite arcade. They spent hours there, time seemed to fly by as they had fun. Then they bought some beer from a convenience store and went to bowling alley, challenge each other's high score for hours even though all of them except one sucked at bowling. Feeling a bit giggly, then finally decided to hit a club, but they bought no drinks since they had no cash left and they just wanted to have fun, so spent hours dancing till their legs were wobbly, showing off their weirdest moves. When they got out of the club it was way past midnight, they decided to end their rendezvous by sharing a beer each. The birthday boy decided that it would be his treat for the night and went to an ATM to take out some cash since they had none left. The other six friends went inside the convenience story still feeling a bit groovy. The store was playing "Running into the Night", they started bobbing to song a bit till they heard a loud shout. The store was being robbed by a man with an AR and a clown mask over his face, they ducked behind different racks and hid themselves. The robber was pointing the gun at the store owner and shouting to put all the money in the cash register into a plastic bag. As the robber was looking inside the cash register, one of the boys good at bowling threw a can of soup at the robber which hit him in the head. While the robber was dazed the store owner pulled out a shotgun, but the robber saw him and started shooting indiscriminately. The night ended with a total of 7 dead, the store owner survived. While the birthday boy was at the ATM, he heard multiple gunshots coming from the convenience store. He hesitated a but soon rushed to the store to find the bloody mess. One week later, the culprit (now dead) was identified and the case was closed. The funeral service was held in private with only the family members attending to avoid the media frenzy. The birthday boy (now no longer his birthday) was the only survivor among the seven. He was wrecked with guilt, thinking if only he refused the birthday plans, if only he didn't offer the beer. He had picked up smoking, he was quite the chain-smoker now. It calmed his nerves. He would never be able to celebrate his birthday now, nor would he ever forget the song he heard when he saw all his friends' corpses.
I love how in one segment after taking a peek at the present time in the funeral the Happy clips has dates in them, it's practically telling us it's a memory but only after we were given further context that a funeral is being held for sure, so the guy is recalling all the fond memories he had with his best friends, whether from video or just memory, what we know is that it's in the past, around a year ago.
this music video has so much depth and meaning to it. the attention to detail of the friends (the dead) standing in white suits (compared to the black suit that the one living friend is wearing). the pink scribbles on their faces like in the original music video, to the laughter and fun that they had while the friends were alive together (emphasising that energetic, happy beat that we all know from 'racing into the night') but connecting it all to the end and short shots throughout to show a meaningful, sadder message behind it. it's like how the original song does, but twisted into a new meaning. the dark colours of the funeral contrasting with the nostalgic, bright colours of the friends playing at the arcade and dancing together is an absolute 10/10 💗an absolutely spectacular music video! this deserves the 9 million views it has and more.
@@JoedEzekiel069 My personal theory is that the shop is an allegory for the afterlife, as you can see all the dead there, and the disco is memories, and the funeral is the cruel reality

I love this MV. The contrast between the happy dancing parts and the (i think) funeral, really talks not only about the lyrics of the song having a really grim ulterior meaning of well, su1c!de and death. But from where it originates too. The Anime Men really popped off on this one too.

[Intro] Seize a move, you're on me Falling, and we were dissolving You and me, skies above and wide It brings on the true night on me [Verse 1] All I could feel was a "goodbye" Those only words you wrote, it's plenty to understand ya The sun is going down, the sky behind and Visions of you would stand Overlapping with you and the fence beyond Remember the night that we met up? Broke into me and taken everything left in my heart So fragile, is that air, it always keeps on rеvolving near and wide Lonelinеss envelops deep in your eyes [Pre-Chorus] It's stuck in "tick-and-tocking" mode Never refraining shamble, block of sound Too many terrible noises around And the voice ringing in me gets louder With tears about to fall I need to find me an average happy tiptoe Locating, never tough when I'm with you [Chorus] Saw what got seen hid beneath, and louder nights keep beating I'm going to you, and giving brighter shiny tomorrows What can "night" for you mean, infinite? You could run with me Place your hand in mine, you gotta stay, hold up Want to leave it behind, dark cruel days In deep, you may have hid before I'm embracing you until more heat dissolve what is caught up Sun will soon rise up into a day you're no more too afraid Keep all of me in you [Verse 2] Only perceiving through your eyes I see nothing, I'll soon hate you, keep me out, I'm crying out You're falling into deeper fascination, givin' away your love That expression has got me crying out [Verse 3] She's gonna try to me, she's gonna lie Got to force a belief and trust to keep on Every time it happens, heap of attack, and now I'm back in I got to cry, then who knows? So we gotta keep on, if you gotta keep on Then we're gonna keep on One day, we will understand, I'm believin' in you this is the lyrics

Man, thats crazy. This songs ass

@@BMeiome13 oooooh. that makes a lot of sense!
The subtitles are actually the lyrics to the official english cover which was translated and performed by the original artist, YOASOBI. They're one of my favorite artists rn because all of their songs they translate to english and release english covers that sound as good as the japanese originals.
Story:
There were seven friends, friends since grade school, the boys.
On one particular boy's night out, they decided to surprise their homie (the first guy we see) as it was his birthday;
They decided that they would hit up all their favourite joints and spend all night celebrating.

Its actually not the actual story of the song normally bt its still cool

this music video has so much depth and meaning to it. the attention to detail of the friends (the dead) standing in white suits (compared to the black suit that the one living friend is wearing). the pink scribbles on their faces like in the original music video, to the laughter and fun that they had while the friends were alive together (emphasising that energetic, happy beat that we all know from 'racing into the night') but connecting it all to the end and short shots throughout to show a meaningful, sadder message behind it. it's like how the original song does, but twisted into a new meaning. the dark colours of the funeral contrasting with the nostalgic, bright colours of the friends playing at the arcade and dancing together is an absolute 10/10 💗an absolutely spectacular music video! this deserves the 9 million views it has and more.

[Intro]
Seize a move, you're on me
Falling, and we were dissolving
You and me, skies above and wide
It brings on the true night on me
[Verse 1]
All I could feel was a "goodbye"
Those only words you wrote, it's plenty to understand ya
The sun is going down, the sky behind and
Visions of you would stand
Overlapping with you and the fence beyond
Remember the night that we met up?
Broke into me and taken everything left in my heart
So fragile, is that air, it always keeps on rеvolving near and wide
Lonelinеss envelops deep in your eyes
[Pre-Chorus]
It's stuck in "tick-and-tocking" mode
Never refraining shamble, block of sound
Too many terrible noises around
And the voice ringing in me gets louder
With tears about to fall
I need to find me an average happy tiptoe
Locating, never tough when I'm with you
[Chorus]
Saw what got seen hid beneath, and louder nights keep beating
I'm going to you, and giving brighter shiny tomorrows
What can "night" for you mean, infinite? You could run with me
Place your hand in mine, you gotta stay, hold up
Want to leave it behind, dark cruel days
In deep, you may have hid before
I'm embracing you until more heat dissolve what is caught up
Sun will soon rise up into a day you're no more too afraid
Keep all of me in you
[Verse 2]
Only perceiving through your eyes
I see nothing, I'll soon hate you, keep me out, I'm crying out
You're falling into deeper fascination, givin' away your love
That expression has got me crying out
[Verse 3]
She's gonna try to me, she's gonna lie
Got to force a belief and trust to keep on
Every time it happens, heap of attack, and now I'm back in
I got to cry, then who knows?
So we gotta keep on, if you gotta keep on
Then we're gonna keep on
One day, we will understand, I'm believin' in you
