He just seems like a quiet person and doesn't live a life seeking attention. That's what I get out of his interviews. Quite different from most actors/actresses, during interviews most tend to be overcharged and loquacious. Keanu just seems real.

He is! He is awesome! If you look up when he got his star on the walk of fame the little girl with him is my daughter and he was SO sweet to her bc she wanted to give him roses... just a great man! We saw him a couple years later at his book signing and he totally remembered her and was talking to her like they were besties. Just a great person all around. She loves him.

He never really was, in terms of that photo. I think it's just his natural expression.
He's been through a lot in his personal life. I think he may suffer from low-grade depression, but his personality is so empathetic that he compensates for it. I don't think any of his humility is faked or forced. I think he's just a really nice guy whose got some scars from a tough industry and tries not to let it get to him.

He didn't really say that, he just said that he isn't sad all the time... and I believe that. But yeah I also have the impression that he is not really a happy person in general. Which doesn't mean he can't be happy sometimes. I get that, I'm like that too... I'm just very introverted and shy and so my "normal mood" is more like thoughtful and calm (and a little pessimistic sometimes) and that's not generally a bad mood but it isn't really happy either...
i am a person who has suffered from severe depression in the past and was put on medications but discontinued them because they didn't help..........i can say that with age i have gotten much better at living with my depression and accepting that i am just like that.............i lead a much more comfortable life now because i know how to handle things now.......i just feel keanu is also the same way...........

I think he was incredibly shy when he was younger which why his voice sounds different now that he's older. Almost like he was just thankful he had a job and didn't know when he would have another one. Just living in the present. That's a gift I wish we could all have more of.
