- Jinx has one of the most interesting character arcs in Arcane, and using the League of Legends lore we can triangulate how her character arc will continue through Arcane Season 2. It is very possible that we see her relationship with Silco mirrored in future relationships with other characters.

I just realized that Jinx lost 4 parents during this show. And she accidentally killed 2 of them. Holy shit. Poor kid. She needs a hug.

I don't think they are all going to end up like they are in the lore because they're using Arcane to redo a lot of the lore. Jayce and Viktors relationship is already much much closer than it was in the original lore so I don't think that, for example, Viktor will 100% end up doing Glorious Evolution.
I think if it goes based on the lore its not going to be as popular. Now if they change the lore it would be a massive success imo because most of if not all wanna see jinx reclaim her sanity.
Imma be real chief, Viktor going 100% GLORIOUS EVOLUTION would totally work with his character in Arcane, remember, a lot of what in game Viktor does he does because he has literally removed his own emotions. Now if he does that intentionally in the name of allowing himself to do better science or even if he does it for a different reason than in lore, that's up for debate, but he's definately going to do it and his character ending up like he is in game would be the perfect end to his tragic story. Imagine Jayce having to reconcile the fact that the *thing* that is Viktor is nothing even remotely like the person he knew and he's going to have to fight it. It'd be insane. Also it'll be a great parallel to Vi having to fight Warwick (Who's most likley Vander) if that happens.

She didn't loose her sanity at the end, it was the weak "Powder"-part of her that went away. She basically lost her ability to be vulnerable and to feel guilty. Vis love was what kept Powder alive all those years, and that seems to be gone. There is literally no reason for Jinx to become "sane" again, as long as it only means pain and suffering for her.
So there will very likely not be some sort of redemption arc, unless VI somehow proves to her sister that she is still important for her, no matter who she is right now. A good reason for that would be some threat from outside the walls of Piltover/Zhaun, as Silco said during his meeting with Jace "What brought us together in the first place".
League characters are way older in canon, so they have a LOT of time and development to play with before even reaching the "current" game lore. Caitlyn has her own arc, and Vi still has to find her own reason to be, which up to meeting with Jinx was just finding her again. Now, her sister told her she is not the same person and Silco is dead. Now Vi is purposeless, everything she wanted to fight for or against, is gone. The undercity had it's "leadership" wiped in a single night, as maybe also Piltover. A lot can happen without going past League lore.
I can see her regaining her sanity again possibly with the healing ability that they mentioned in hex tech, but she’ll always be Jinx, Powder is gone. I’m just hoping that her family, Vi, Ekko, and Warwick (league fans know what that means), all come together to fight against a bigger threat (Momma Murdada maybe?).

No no no. Having characters revert back n' forth just for the sake of having some arc, is shit writing. Just let Jinx be the character she's supposed to be, at least for a while. If you want more deep arcs, look no further than literally everyone else on the roster. Characters don't always need arcs to be super interesting. It'll probably mean slightly less screen time for her overall, but Jinx can still be integral to the plot, by doing plot related shenanigans and having fun scenes n' all that. Silco said it best, she's perfect.

Yeah, what you suggest would be shit writing. Punisher factory reset his character arc each season, and that was tedious af. If Jinx goes sane again, only to have to go insane once more, that'd be time wasted, just like Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul. There are more characters to focus on, there's no need to mess with Jinx's character.
I've been thinking about this probably a lot more than I should. Jinx's character is SO up in the air considering how the last episode went. She can pretty much do whatever she wants now and that's probably not a good thing. The key thing to predict season two is whether or not Arcane is going to go the direction of the lore or go their own direction and create their own stories. Now Arcane kind of already did that saying that it isn't completely cannon and some backstories of the lore don't match up with Arcane. Now for Jinx, overall they pretty much have two directions they can bring her. 1-have her go crazy like she is in the game and 2- give her a redemption or some sort of sanity back. One would be going the direction of lore, the other would not. I trust that the writers will make either one emotional destroy all of us so I guess either way I will cry, but for me personally I really just want to see her happy. And not like crazy happy I want her to be real happy. I would assume that they would give my that through flashbacks as I watch her present self go nuts. That's what I would assume but what do I know. Either way I need season 2 NOW.
I would Think thats they Will show what happens to The Council and then years Will pass and jinx is now in The age 21 as she is in Lore and she is still crazy and just Being on her own (or whatever riot makes her do) but then Will get her mind back on track so we Will see The seaon 2 in The future beyond The lore (sorry for The misspelling i have it in danish control).
This would kinda be a good consept so that they Will keep some of The lore bc The lore tells jinxs whole personality but then they Will go in The future and make it a good ending for jinx and Will keep The original consept.
Could keep her crazy but like a crazy anti hero. So not a villain but not exactly stable.

From a fan standpoint I’d love for Jinx to regain her sanity and get help, but from a writing/storytelling stand point it’d be going against her entire character. Saw someone comment ‘it’s like if you took away VI’s punching’. However, I do think they shouldn’t completely do the one-note crazy Jinx from the game. Jinx can be an insane wild card and a complex emotional person at the same time. Kinda akin to Azula from Avatar, her insanity adds a lot to her character making her a more nuance threat and unique conversation. Although I’ll admit they didint fully flesh her out but the ground works were there.

I liked the comparison, since I saw Arcane (a few days ago xd), I noticed similarities between Jinx and Azula, not entirely of course, but in terms of insanity, and both being complex characters.
From a writing it would make more sense as the core conflict of series is the older sibling/city unwilling to make sacrifice’s to help the younger sibling. Vi wants help her sister she have to make tough decisions that she can’t walk back on.
I'd personally like to see her get help, too. She can then use her talent as a craftswoman and weaponsmith to aid Vi and Caitlyn. Nothing wrong with liking weapons, but I want to see Jinx reconcile with her sister.

I don't see them going for a redemptive death with Jinx for a lot of reasons, mostly because it would be too easy (and Arcane has never seemed interested in easy answers) and partly because a redemptive death is usually in service of stopping some greater evil. The classic example is Darth Vader turning on the Emperor to save his son, but Jinx has already committed the greatest evil she's likely able to commit. They’ve made too deep of a character to just have her be miserable for the rest of her life and then die. That would be unimaginative to resolve her character story. Yes, she will suffer for a while, but now that Silco is dead, I think we will have a lot more opportunities.
I think the only time Jinx will consider redemption is if she has an encounter with Fiddlesticks or being confronted by something she can't overcome on her own, in all honesty if Wolfgar turns out to be Vander, that could be one of the starting points on her way to redemption, or at least might get rid of one of her monsters.

We still need to see her reach her manic position, she's too depressive right now. I think we'll see her drive off the monsters in her head with energetic insanity similar to what we see in game.
Yea that part hasn't fully happened yet. I'm expecting we'll see her go off the deep end in season 2 but who knows, she could change later down the line!

@@DMrKunst2 honestly that depends on how they keep the show going. It could still be that they move to another region later, with each one boasting 2-3 seasons of content. Or even just move onto another show and end this one.

I would love the arcane writers to go above and beyond just the simple bios shown in their games this is such a once in a lifetime opportunity to give everyone what they want. I mean there’s so many ways to have jinx gain sanity again and love and being again teamed up with her sister and let her be crazy like in her tactics and ideas fighting wise. And what better way to bring these two together than with fighting what we now thing is again Vander. I mean how beautiful and poetic would it be to have Vander be the one forever bring these two together again. I mean come on…perfect opportunity and beautiful writing
I don't think Jinx will regain her sanity, that would be like Vi giving up punching, instead I believe Jinx will become smarter and more destructive. Blowing up buildings while still staying Vi, Caitlyn, and the other enforcer's radar. She'll have to do this even more so because Caitlyn's mom was in the council building and chances are she died. So this would motivate her to find Jinx even more, this making Jinx better at hiding.
I'm of the mind that Jinx is likely to get a Redemption Equals Death arc.
In the event of her getting her sanity back, it will lead to her sacrificing herself to atone for her sins. And maybe only Vi and/or Ekko will be the only ones to know. The rest of Piltover will still see her as a terrorist.

@@brian0057 she's not gonna die. Why would you kill a champion. Season 2 isn't going to be her ark anymore. I'll predict it's going to be another character connected to Piltover I'd say Orriana. Jinx ending in season 1 is perfect and let's leave it as it is. Plus Caitlyn's mom isn't going to die. I know they change a lot in the canon lore but "C" is still going to kidnap her parents and she's going to save them. It's a huge part of Caitlyn's lore so I doubt that they will change it.
The only thing Jinx is regaining is ammo.
I'm really hoping to see a showdown between her and Caitlyn in S2. Caitlyn will have to choose between killing Jinx and being with Vi.

If anything, i feel like Vi is the one most likely to end up killed off and send Jinx spiraling into another destructive state but she won't know where to turn her feelings.
And if it comes to bringing Jinx down, Ekko would once again be put in the painful position of hurting his childhood friend because he *knows* she cannot be saved but even after everything, he still had a sliver of hope. I think if hextech gems remain important, and if Ekko develops his time power like in the Game Lore, it would be a tragic loop of him trying to save Jinx repeatedly, but her unpredictable nature makes it harder to save.
Either way I feel like there will be no happy ending to Arcane. War will never have any true victors.
I agree, ekko having time powers is extremely op in terms of in the arcane story I think the only thing that can stop him rising to the top is jinx.

I feel like if Jinx's actions lead to Vi's death she might just kill herself, but that would probably be too dark for mainstream media. They've flirted with suicide on some characters but I don't think a Romeo and Juliet esque ending of the sisters is something they are willing to do.

As someone who deals with emotional demons every day, I can spot someone who deals with pain a mile off. Jinx's persona in Arcane just screams "HELP ME"

LOL's Jinx seems more like a demon than a human. How can a single human single-handedly destroy billions of dollars worth of buildings and kill so many people in the process, and not feel an ounce of regret for the deaths they've caused? Even if they have a mental illness?
I don't think Season 2 is going to focus on Jinx nearly as much.
Season 2 is absolutely going to be more about growing the likes of Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, and Viktor.
She'll be far more antagonistic, I think, but ultimately I think her character 'arc' is finished to the point she can be used to help propel the others.

@@destinybrooks9474 Arcane is not explicitly about Vi and Jinx, and even though I see them being the main focus of the series for a while, we have had precious little focus on Vi in favor of setting up Jinx's insanity.
Now that it's properly set up for her to be an antagonist, the show can and should start focusing on Vi, along with the people she will most likely be around more frequently now.
Those being Cait, Jayce, and probably Viktor given she'll be pushed into piltover.
@@Qeshen the story is about a broken city/sister relationship with the older one largely responsible for screwing it up. Do think think it’ll focus on Vi as she is the same character from act 1 not thinking through her actions and she is basically Vander 2.0 and needs to go beyond that.

She regains her sanity by accepting the one thing she’s exceptional at: destroying things, and directing all of herself to enjoying the assault on Piltover, who she sees as costing her everything she ever loved. She doesn’t even care if she dies, because she already tried and nothing ever stays dead
That's not all she's good for. Here is a list of her achievements:
*Displayed mechanical aptitude as a kid.
* Reverse-engineered Hextech devices using only a textbook and a piece of said technology.
*Amassed a plethora of technical and engineering knowledge with no formal education.
She taught herself everything she knows! She's a literal genius! She needs to put that talent to use! She's actually not a criminal; she's getting revenge on Piltover, the political enemy of Zaun, for destroying everything she ever cared about.

I don’t think arcane will ever fully synergize with the game lore. I really think it wants to be its own thing and I respect that. Good adaptations respectful of the source material, what more could a lore fan ask for?

She will develop a close relationship with Chuck, the barman, and we'll all love that.
Jokes aside, between Jinx stays mad and Jinx becomes sane again, you can find other thousands of way to have some character development with her. I think, given the ending of season 1, one of the themes for Jinx will be moving from being a lone crazy genius to be able to make allies. After all there is a vacuum of power now in Zaun.
I mean, even Riot's team confirmed that Arcane can basically stand on it's own: "Reav3 explains: Most of the characters in Arcane kind of fail to hit that bar actually, even Jinx, Caitlyn, and Vi. They wear muted clothes and have more subdued personalities. It works really well for Arcane because the show's more grounded and the characters are supposed to be relatable, but that's not what we're looking for in League."
I hope this means they give us an amazing story and redemption. I think most people wanna see Jinx be sane and together with her sister again. And with Warwick finally in the picture possibly being Vander what a wasted opportunity it would be to not have him be the force that finally brings them together and forces jinx to not only accept herself like she said in the last episode, but heal herself and not be crazy in her mental trauma. But just have her fighting tactics and regular funny personality be what’s out their and crazy. These guys want a good story it should not end with Jinx just being crazy and never being ever to get over the trauma and manipulation. Especially with so many bad evil characters rumored to come. I think everyone would love seeing these two help fight them and not just let it be Caitlyn and Vi lol
For the love of God I need Jinx to have a happy ending. I am so sick of writers making crazy characters interesting, making them people, and then deciding to kill them off or never let them be happy just because they're crazy. It's completely possible and she is capable of healing, getting some normalcy in her life, and being truly loved in healthy relationships. We need to stop abandoning the crazies in our world. I don't care if she's a character, I really don't. Unfortunately our dumbasses need to be taught about people through animated TV shows.
Only problem with that is the ties to the source material, Arcane is a bit different from League but not by much and the writers Don't want to separate from the original material too much.
Yes!! As someone who's been through traumatic events -- I'm still crawling my way out of the darkness -- I want to see Jinx access that light in her. What a message of hope that would be for this generation of tv watchers. There are so many people hurting from trauma. We need more hope, less despair. I have faith the filmmakers will handle her character well.
@@user-qk3nq6cg7r It’s a different continuity. Plenty of adaptations end VERY differently from the source material (just look at the dozen different versions of Death Note).
Personally, I think all people are really asking for is Jinx being able to reconcile with her sister. She can still be Jinx, but not on bad terms with the people she cares about.
@@DLxxx I haven't watched Death Note believe it or not so I can't say. But I heard the anime was good but movie sucked. It's rare for adaptations to deviate from the source material and actually be good, (Jaws and The Boys are the only ones I can think of). I'm not against the idea of Jinx reconciling with Vi, I'm just saying that I don't know if the writers want to go down that path.

I would love to see Lux and Jinx together. I don't think Powder is coming back. That ship has sailed. But she can become a better person as Jinx.
Lux is from the other side of the world and has nothing to do with Piltover. Yeah, there's no way they make Jinx worse, so it's gotta be better cause they should develop her in some direction.

They are not going to have Jinx regain her sanity. They are in going to drive the "bring her in" arc with Vi and her, and then maybe have them just move on from each other. If you pay attention to the dinner scene, when Vi was yelling at her to remember her parents and friends etc, they were attacking her like demons. Like she said, Powder is gone she fell down a well. She has accepted her Jinx persona. Also, they are NOT going to kill off Jinx.
If Vi or Jinx die to give is a similar moment with jinx and Silco I will cry bruh nooo😭😔

Definitely has an Anakin Skywalker vibe to her character arch - we all know how that ends. Could also see the writers following a Romulus and Remus path, with the same inevitable ending.
It may be true that Arcane isn't following the lore exactly as it is in the game, but I don't think they'd change the characters' personalities entirely. A Jinx without insanity and good relationship with Vi isn't Jinx anymore. Jinx was always meant to be crazy and always meant to have rivalry with Vi. Riot ain't gonna change something like that, only something else that doesn't make Arcane stray too far from the original lore.
They already change their personalities entirely, look at Jayce and Viktor.

Both of them are supossed to essentially be great inventors with ego problems, Viktor being more asocial in that sense. While Jayce has an even bigger ego which he shows off constantly. They are also supossed to be more of a constant friction "friendship" since the reason they worked togheter was that they both were similarly smart and with a similar ego which made them constantly clash. In Arcane Jayce doesnt have an ego, he is just sure of himself and treats viktor with no real problem, similsr deal with Viktor who seems to have no ego or self worth for the most series, who alwo goes along perfectly fine with Jayce.
And that is only personality wise, because backshory wise, Viktor and aViktor are two absolutely different characters.
I don't think she'd "regain sanity," rather, I think she'd learn to "control," or at least thrive in her insanity. Though I do think something like Vi's death, or even Warwick's (if she knows he's Vander) would be enough to temporarily ground her in reality. It would probably be super brief, though

I dont fully agree with the statement that jinx in lore is at the same point as she is at the end of arcane.
Jinx in lore is insane, yes but not depressed. You could say that jinx hides her depression behind a extremely jovial personality. But even that is not something that has been shown in arcane. (after silco died, before silco she did show moments of a jovial nature).
Summary:
Lore: Insane, happy (seemingly) and destructive for fun
Arcane: Insane, sad and destructive for a cause.
No cause, she doesn't care about Zaun that much anywhere in the Lore as I recall, some Zaunites just admire her for what she does to Piltover.
But yeah, they should make her smile sincerely more. She may not be happy, but she has to be fun
I dont agree with the "necessity" of the story revolving around Jinx just for the sake of continuity. Once she gets to the point where she is indistinguishable from League Jinx, she goes from being a "main character" to being part of the setting, narratively. The doctor (Singed) doesn't change at all through the series, he's just there, as part of the setting. His character arc is either behind him , or yet to come, but it doesn't take away from his importance to the story, as part of the whole technological arms race in Zaun; that is, part of the setting. Arcane is very good at interweaving many different characters developing organically as the events progress but not every character changes. Most of the Councilmembers stay the same throughout the entire 9 episodes, they are part of the political setting. Mel Doesn't change either, and she pays a huge role in the desitions of Jayce. Heimerdinger doesn't even begin to change until the very last leg of the series. As Jinx becomes more of her League self, she becomes more stable over time and more of a setting element that affects all other characters without herself being affected by them, making her also less "important" to the story the audience sees. Just like the audience doesn't see the refinement process of Shimmer happening in the background.
Good point. I think they'll shift the "main character" focus mostly back to Vi (her figuring out what to do with her life now that saving Powder is out of the question) with more screentime allotted for the other major characters, while jinx is relegated to a simpler antagonistic role until the Next Big Traumatic Event That Changes Everything. I love Jinx but I want Cait, Viktor, Ekko, Mel, etc to catch up with their own arcs
Considering how big of a character Jinx is and what I have seen of her, other than Arcane, they could still keep her in the background, doing stuff while focused on other characters. Just that one chaotic character that shows up "randomly"(probably does have reasons) and influences events and then seemingly disappears for a bit. After all, she put together a lot of pieces in the show and could seemingly show up anywhere without anyone knowing until she did something. So, there is potential for her to show up for however long they keep the show(s) going, and I'm not limiting her to just staying in Piltover/Zaun areas either.
Throughout the story, Jinx made small steps in the right direction. But every time, Silco lied to her and manipulated her back to his side. Now that he's out of the picture, I think Jinx can actually start to recover. Granted, it's going to be a lot harder now that she's quite literally a terrorist who has a body count that would give Auschwitz a run for its money (among which include pretty much all of Piltover's enforcers as well as what's probably a good number of the councillors), but at the very least, Silco's influence over her can't get any worse than it is now.
The way I see it, saving Jinx is going to be like uprooting a tree: it's going to be much easier -- though still incredibly difficult -- if the roots stop growing first.
Jinx's mind is the ground, Silco is the tree. With Silco gone, at the very least, the roots have stopped growing.
And that's where it takes a powerful storm to pull the roots out of ground. If the tree is simply dead, it's a matter of pushing it over. A strong wind or a bulldozer could do it. If it was cut down, it's a matter of either digging the stump up, or, (easier but not as fast) letting the stump rot away into nothing.
Yeah but with her damaged mindset the thing that silco last said to her might stay in her mind for a very long time. No matter how bad silco and jinx were for eachother they still rlly cared abt eachother and silco telling her she’s perfect could give her the mindset that there isn’t anything wrong with her and she is perfectly fine the way she is. I don’t think she’ll ever be powder again because in the very last clip she does end up becoming very hurt by how she killed silco. Just like how she killed like everyone else in her life, while her grieving is what we see some of in the last clips, she sees that silco isn’t mad at her and calls her perfect. And as long as she has no reason to change she’ll probably stay like that. A lot of why she’s like this is what vi inflicted and if she believes vi changed and doesn’t care about her she won’t be changing. As long as somebody waters the plant it’ll still stay alive
Regains? When did she ever have it? She was always pretty unstable even as Powder.
Because her life had been knocked off course ever since the enforcers killed her parents.

I really enjoy to think of possible endings or different ways a story could go, when thinking of arcane s2 I always imagine it to begin with jinx in a cell locked by the fire lights, vi and caitlyn where they see more of what she’s like when shes on her own, more intense panic attacks, hallucinations/talking to people who aren’t there and breaking down even more with the whole “my father is dead, I’m locked in a cell without any of the things that keep me distracted and people are arguing about how to “fix me”.”

Jinx is actually not a villain. Piltover and Zaun are political enemies. Jinx is a hero to Zaun.

Terrorism, collective imprisonment, and refusal of vital resources such as clean air and water are all classified into categories of war crimes. The leaders of Piltover are not entirely oblivious to what's going on. In fact, they were willing to arrest or kill every Zaunite just to get "justice" for having a college building blown up by four kids (two of whom become the main characters of the story, one of them is Jinx herself) trying to make money to survive by stealing valuables to sell at Benzo's shop.

You can argue that she "fought for Zaun" but she didn't care about Zaun, she cared about getting praise for Slco and even Zaunites are cannon folder when she wants something. Chem barond said it there were involved in a war nobody wanted because Jinx had a tantrum.

I've played golf with a guy that had been golf jinxed, but never gave up for over fifty years, it was entertaining and enlightening and never dull, but time has passed and so has he. I just found this show on Netflix and find it entertaining and enlightening and never dull, I won't give up on it as long as it keeps entertaining me in the way I need, nothing really wrong with a good Jinx now and then.
I believe throughout season 2 we'll see her try and turn things around but towards the end she'll embrace her insanity and turn into the jinx from the game insane outfit and all

The Jinx that you see at the end of the show is nothing like League of Legends Lore jinx.
And be glad that's not the case, because they are not bound by the Lore. The show is canon in the world of runeterra, stuff is already been rewritten and they are taking a different approach with this with it being a TV show.
And I wouldn't consider her a monster either.

I think I would really enjoy it if jinx/powder decided for herself who she wants to be not, who others expect her to be. Like most of her life I think she tried to be something so that she would be accepted. I think what she needs is to be finally able to think and act for herself. Neither silco nor vi accepted that she was both jinx and powder. That both of these side were part of her, that she had regret and fears. They both wanted a version of her that doenst exist.
I don't think she will at least not completely but she will find a sense of peace within herself.

The line "all your fault" is referring to both Claggor, Mylo, Vander and Silco.
Maybe Jinx, and maybe Vi with Cait in tow, will find that Vander is been transformed in Warwick.
Now, imagine a Jinx, devoured by guilt and shame, that meets a scarecrow who can read the very depths of your souls that screams to a girl traumatized and mentally instable like Jinx after all her fears.
If they'll do it then EP3, EP9 and the fight against Ekko will be nothing compared to somethig so horrible.
If they'll do it, that encounter will be the worst experience Jinx ever had from wich i doubt she can ever recover.

About Singed, I do predict a troll, they will make us think that he was lovely father or something like that just to give us a Shou Tucker moment. Every lore piece from singed describe him as a cold and cruel monster willing to do anything for science.

I'm pretty sure she can't really "regain her sanity" fully. Like ever.
But assuming she manages to do it at least partly, I don't think it can happen without another mentor/sibling like figure bonding with her (hopefully not dying this time), cause she doesn't really have anything inside her that she can hold on to: she's not in control of what happens both to her and in her, and everything she does is always in function of somebody else...which makes the finale in s1 very interesting, given thay it's the first active and aware choice she makes for herself.
The thing is, she can't get better without healing first. So unless an extremely positive figure comes to her and establishes a healthy relationship with her, of any kind, I don't think she'll manage to get out of the spiral she's in right now, in no measure whatsoever...

Thing is I feel for your average viewer they have already had their character development, people who already know the lore logically wouldn't get as much extra stuff from the show considering they already know what happens, and since there are so many other characters the show can pull from im thinking its more likely for the characters to become what they are in the game and after that focus on other characters.
I can see Jinx and Vi's story arcs ending with Vi being so close to reaching Jinx after having given up and being pure enemies for a while, then Jinx having a murderous episode trying to save herself/people she cares about, only to accidentally kill Vi in the process. Then, we get another gut-wrenching scene like the one we got with Jinx and Silco. This time, Jinx realizes she really is too far gone then proceeds to use the rare lucid moment Vi's death granted her to kill the BBEG of the season (possibly her employer) in triumphant self-sacrifice. This would parallel so many steps of her story (murdering people she loves by accident, making a drastic over-correction because of it, taking down the BBEG despite working for them, Vi being responsible for her radical swings in personality, etc). It would also parallel Vi's relationship with Jinx (failing to save her, grappling with Jinx being too far gone, going face-first into danger, etc). Throw in a line from Vi that parallels Silco's, and we even tie a nice bow on the whole package of Jinx. Something along the lines of, "I should have loved all of you, but I didn't. I couldn't. You weren't the jinx that ruined our lives, I was. You were perfect. You *are* perfect. I am sorry, Powder."

As someone who can relate to Jinx due to BPD symptoms and irrational paranoia of abandonment, If they really want to make this character refreshing and not a harley quinn rip-off, she'll have to do some minor slef-less acts or turn to internalizing her symptoms more instead of lashing out at others. However, I do not think the writers genuinely care about the depth of the personality disorder or Bipolar disorder they are portraying through her. There is no consideration of the ethics behind making her seem consistently unhinged and unremorseful of her actions. For her next character growth, they'll have to work on humanizing her and making her more complex outside of the trauma dumping. Alright, we know her tragic backstory but how does that explain her actions now? What is her goals? We see her fear of losing people, resulting in pushing people away, but we have yet to see the other coin of said fear resulting in people pleasing and co-dependency.
Well, in my opinion, Jinx gain much more sanity in the end (she dont become fully sane you know... ), despite killing Silco. Remeber how Silco died, encouraging her, to be her without doubts... When she sat on that chair with Jinx name like a boss, this is it! She finally accepted who she is and her past is not tearing her personality apart, no more! Scars remain, but she let go her past, like Silco tried to explain her much more earlier! The person Powder look up most, but not Jinx, Vi is still her sister, but she has changed... both of them, and Jinx finally accept that! Remeber how much more mature was her speech, when she was sitting on that jinx chair and spoked about that! And she left Vi afterwards (and also do not kill Catlyn) ...
jinx is like joker... they literally said she is like joker..... everything she does, is like joker, there is no "saving" her, she ahs hated topside her whole life, and just struck the council...... there is no redeeming lol, she is in full war mode. "further character development" yea, she now hears silco in her head, she gonna be a boss.....

Powder had issues from the start, she definitely suffered from depression then after the incident it sent her further down the rabbit hole developing schizophrenia and bi polar syndrome. So she will never be sane. But Vi could bring stability back to Jinx. As of now in the show Jinx is completely unstable.

I personally think about the second scenario (. Different character development and actual ending to the story) it is heavily implied that arcane is in the actual lore what MCU is in the marvel comics ( different universes with different outcomes)

considering who is the VA of vi i thnk they"ll stick with them as the focus....but tbh their story looks told already compared to the other champions like ekko/Singed/viktor etc so it may switch

personnally i would prefer if the center of the plot shifts from vi and jinx to vi + other characters. Vi, Ekko and Viktor are the three characters who lack development for me in season 1 and really need some fleshing out in season 2 (they are still awesome though). Vi especially was all about Powder in the first season and needs to stand on her own now. I hope we get less screen time for Jinx (as her whole arc is pretty much finished for me) and more for new characters. Then again if they decide to do a good scenario with Jinx, i'll be happy. (And i need more Ambessa/Sevika scenes, they steal the spotlight in every scene they are)
You will see much more of Singed as he is by far the most important figure in Zaun/Piltover. I can think of at least 4 new "main characters" being introduced second season. I can go into some details If you want to know more about it.
