Hi Loves! It's been a while! 2015 was full for me! Thank you for being patient and continuing to support my channel.
In this video, I demonstrate how to achieve an amazing perm rod set using Dark N Lovely's Au Natural Moisture L.O.C. Collection. My hair was set on the teal colored rods, which produces a medium-size curl on longer hair. For a tighter curl, I would have used the orange rods. The black or brown ones for a looser curl/wave. I really hope you like the results, and I hope you enjoy the video. As always, thanks for watching, beautiful person. Peace, love, and blessings to you. :-)
    Products used, in sequential order:
    Moisture L.O.C. Sulfate-Free Cleansing Shampoil
    Moisture L.O.C. Deep Conditioning Delight
    Moisture L.O.C.Super Quench Leave-In Spray
Moisture L.O.C. Soak it Up Oil Cocktail
Moisture L.O.C. Lock it in Sealing Cream
    FAQs
    1. How long can the style last overall? The life of a style depends on a few variables. Did you use enough product, did you allow your hair to completely dry before removing the rods, do you preserve your styles at night, while exercising, etc., how's the climate in your area, do you sweat "in the head" easily or often?
    2. How long did the style last for me? I allowed it to last one week. I just wanted to shampoo my hair.
    3. How was the style preserved at night? I piled my hair loosely on top of my head and secured it with a satin scrunchy. Then, I wrapped a satin scarf around my head. A satin bonnet will do, instead of a scarf.
    4. Did you add additional products later in the week? No
    5. Was this video sponsored? Yes, by Dark N Lovely
    6. Did my hair feel hydrated the entire week? Yes
    7. How many rods did I use? I'm not sure. I rarely ever count rollers, twists, etc.

Absolutely Beautiful!!! I noticed you did not have to comb/smooth each section prior to rolling. I guess while smoothing with your fingers, enough product was applied to keep from needing to do this. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for sharing Doll!

Aahhh Miss Ebony so glad to see this, and soooo glad you're back!!! PLEASE DON'T DO THAT AGAIN...(go away that is) WE NEED YOU IN OUR NATURAL HAIR LIVES!!! Lol... :--) I always bypassed these products in the stores because I didn't think they would work well. But, I have definitely changed my mind about them and I'm looking forward to adding them to my product junkie arsenal very soon. The results are gorgeous!!! #Excited #Can'tWaitToTryThis

You can tell you're educated about hair because Girlllaaa you described your hair to a T lol. I need to learn more about my own hair. I was wondering which detangling method you'd recommend for the least amount of breakage. I believe I have fine, coily hair with medium density and normal porosity (I guess lol)

I've never seen anyone roll their hair up on the rod the way you did. I can do a LOT of things to my hair and make it look great, but I have had so many epic rollerset fails using rods and flexirods. I will try one more time, though. You've given me hope, LOL. Your hair looks amazing!

+Lashawn Henighan (ItsShawnDotCom) Thank you! Yes, I love this method of rolling highly-textured hair.
