Goldenrod is one of the last high protein foods for bees before the hard freeze haults their food supply. Very important plant to allow to grow & even propagate on your land or protect in your communities.
It is a great anti-inflammatory, anti- cancer & supplies quercitin! So like you said Mrs H, great for fending off colds & viruses. I harvested a bunch last week. Made a blend this morning of Goldenrod, Lemon grass, lavender & mint. All from my property. Been sipping on it all day today. God is good!!!

This wonderful plant is medicine to us & food for animals. I love it! You are so informative. God has given us everything we need to survive without making us sick. Thank you!
Thank you for this educational video. A lot of people especially younger people take this type of information for granted. I however appreciate this education so much. ❤️
Thank you Mrs. H. Nothing as good as God's creations. He has most definitely provided all we need.
Thank you Mrs. H. God is so good all of the time. It's so wonderful to discover his many blessings and take in all of the beauty his hands have made. He truly looks after his children. ❤️🙏
Goldenrod! ❤ It’s plentiful in the wild in my state. True- no one knows what it can do! Just made a tincture and dried some. Growing a small patch too.
What a pretty picture of you picking in that field. Have a beautiful day Mrs.H.
I am a somewhat beginner in gardening, in 2016 I started a small garden, but I didn’t study or read or anything what to do. I wanted to do things right this time. Watching you has help me a lot. And now I’m ready to get started, for what is about to come it has been pulling on me.
Well I didn’t have time for seeds, so I went to the nursery and bought some veggies. I am in zone nine, Houston Texas.
But I’m also going to do seed. Seeing you build a greenhouse well I want to do that too, just by looking at you.
I'm in the Houston area too and I know Tomball's Arborgate and I think Buchanan's sells it too.

hi
happy to know you are near by me. I’m looking for some quail, the large quail if you can direct me where to go. Thank you so much, would love to meet you one day
Thank you Mrs. Marie for teaching me also about medicinal plants because I can truly use them. I have severe arthritis which started during my tour in the USAir Force. While I am still taking a bunch of meds that used to work but doesn't anymore. I truly believe that the moringa tea will work wonders. You are my God-sent angel for sure. I've never been to the country and don't know a thing about the country but what you've taught me while watching your videos. As soon as I get my moringa you'll be heating from me with an update.
Yes also I am looking for Mullien and elderberry inn the wild. ❤️❤️🐩🌹🌹🙏🏾🙏🏾😇
I would be so excited to find mullein in the wild. I grew some this year but the Texas heat killed them. I harvested all I could and dried the leaves for tea.
I’m just seeing & watching this video today, Mrs. H. Thanks so much for this video. I had no idea this is what that plant was. Also that it treats so many ailments. I appreciate it. You are so right when you said, The Most High has created herbs, for every cause. M
Wow, Mrs. H. You have lots of resources in your land. That's Golden Rod.
Your goldenrod is GORGEOUS! And you definitely have the motherlode! Good stuff.
I just took a group of people on a nature walk this weekend to learn about this plant
❤❤👏👏❤️❤️ thank you for your sharing your knowledge and expertise in the earth. GOD bless y’all
Mrs. Marie, do you have videos how to make tinctures/teas and use to use them?
Heidi Villegas talks about how to on her UA-cam channel.
I like to make tea and tincture it, but Goldenrod Honey is one of my favorite things. I just fill a jar with goldenrod flowers and pour honey over the top.. let it sit for a month or so, then strain it. That flower smell & taste comes through in the honey with all Its medicinal benefits! And you're right! Every time I've ever harvested goldenrod, the pollinators were All over it!
Lol...I also know essential oil from golden rod on the inner thigh can help his "rod" do it's job when needed on occasional basis.
My Neice came by and pointed it out for me just 2 months ago... we picked and spread as much seed as I could in my back acer just to use next year! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have this in my yard had no idea it was medicinal. # LiveandLearn! Much Appreciated!
I am going to grow my own herbs and things….I really do love being outdoors and taking in the beauty of YAH!
I make a goldenrod glycerite for my husband who has gout. He has not had a flare in over a year now.
So glad you put this valuable information out here b/c I too have plenty of it in my back field and I noticed it's spreading closer to my house this Fall. I was standing at the window admiring it as such a beautiful weed lol; not realizing it's healthy nutritional qualities! Love your shows b/c you always have so much knowledge to offer us! Will you be doing shows on harvesting, and tea making? I would love to know what other herbs would be nice to pair with this when making tea. Thank you for sharing. ♥
I just saw this at work today. I ran back into building to get my phone to scan it and sure enough…goldenrod!!!
Now my coworkers thought I was nuts, but I was soooo stoked about finding medicine right in front of me.
Native Used to make acorn flour for bread and also they were used to fodder hogs.
Mrs. H, I watch often but don’t comment much, but today I just have to say thank you so much for your videos.

I literally just finished putting my dry goldenrod in jars for tea. Also started a jar with vodka for a tincture
I agree. God has provided everything we need. I just started harvesting for the first time over the past month. I’ve made a couple of tinctures, an oil and have more drying to store in jars. Thank you for sharing this beautiful herb!
Been using this for tea for several years now. Didn't think to make a tincture thanks.
In early America they called it Liberty Tea

I just learned about golden rod this year. It’s great.
If you want, those acorns falling in droves on your roof can make some good flour. Gotta process it really well, but it serves me as a flour extender. But you have to use water and time to get rid of the tannins. Still, it’s free too!
Good vid. Thanks!
Goldenrod is wonderful for toning kidneys and bladder. It’s diuretic, but is also potassium sparing. I used the flowers, leaves, and roots in dried form for tisanes. Thank you for teaching that the leaves can be used in cooking. I’m going to try that!
Thank you for sharing this! Amen, say it. How we can use God's herbs, free gifts to tend our needs.
Awesome mother Gaia gives us more than everything.🌎
To God be the glory for all his creation. Thank you for the information.
