A monk could leave the box to go to toilet only. My local guru was in the box for three years, three months, three days, and three hours prior to leaving it permanently. He learned to sit for long periods and yet could walk to toilet. Food, water was brought to him by an aide.

    • @truthcatcher

Yes, practice under experienced Guru. It generates heat that could able the human to survive in extreme cold without even wearing any clothes. Without proper instruction could lead to side effects that will be harmful to human body.

The person who starts to speak at around the first minute of the video is inspiring. I would like to do something similar as he did. I recently found an employment which will in a few months generate sufficient income for me to fly to India. Any clues on how can I practically start the same path as this person and Milarepa? I became especially curious when he started talking that the bodily needs might be an impediment and that it's good to learn how to be independent of external sustenance and health. I suppose it would be good to have a guidance on this. Any advice? Should I contact a Tibetan Buddhist in Dharamsala, tell him, and then fly over and meet? Or...?

Lukas Dohnal, Be cautious with these Tibetan monks. They take advantage of your innocence. They live and rely on the money of Westerners. They lure you with their Asian smile. They are free loaders and since their parents were too poor to keep their children to feed (why do the procreate then like crazy?), they were sent to monasteries and learned no profession. Hence they have to survive and live on the money of Westerners. I am speaking by experience.

      Hello Lukas,
The fact that you react to my comment proofs you are sensible. That said we learn by mistakes. My tool of discrimination: who initiates the contact? The one who does is likely to "control" any sort of relationship as long as it lasts. One attracts what one needs.

Why not? Jesus is a power spiritual teacher, like the Buddha. I have more respect for Buddhism than any other widespread religion (I know religion isn't the right word, I just used it for simplicity) for reasons which should be obvious, but I follow aspects of all religions. For example I follow Christ, but also follow the Kabbalah as well as Buddhist teachings. I agree with you about not following this angry, vengeful God described in the bible though. Same reason I wouldn't follow Shiva, Thor

, the Aztec war God etc. Maybe these are real macroscopic spiritual entities, maybe they are purely man made creations, I don't know but I think following Gods like that puts one of the path to darkness. According to history, Montezuma believed he was in contact with Huitzilopochtli (the Aztec war God) who commanded him to sacrifice thousands of innocent people. When the Spaniards invaded, Cortez had dreams in which St Peter commanded him to commit genocides on the natives.

Love, peace, faith, truth, wisdom, is to be attained. Not argue how you do it cause I imagine everyone has there own path before tham with a lot of little paths coming of. Some go up, some go down, but all will eventually lead to the same place arguing over what religion is right. Makes you miss the hole point in the first place. All will do things a little bit different to someone else till someone on the scale is so far from someone's else's own exsperiences that you have a ying yang some swear by this some swear by that, and than you have people fighting killing murdering because thay don't understand really we're all right in our way of things happening for us but not necessarily for others shit happens in ways and other ways for other people stop being such HATERS OF PEOPLE WITH OPINIONS AND EXSPERIENCES THAT DONT MATCH YOURS LIFE IS TO LIVE NOT UNDERSTAND. If you read what I put correctly you would see the light. I agreed with you on the aspect of finding the light inside NOT outside as someone previous seems to quote scripture. And you also need to get your facts right Jesus did not want to start a religion. He was also trained by the yogis. I don't follow a diety I follow the spirit..which is the inner path.off all who wish to do so.I never yet attacked anyone.all are welcome to their path. Jesus does not punish.only man who is blind to truth.

You were born to undergo and to be tortured by the spirit with hardship to the other thing which you cannot possess to the eternity period of time. Why to become rich for the hardship and to become the poorest in order to postpone the happiness. The life must be short to be in a peaceful soul.

Thank you for showing the world why we as Buddhists follow the Buddha and not the christian deity. To have it's followers like you openly persecute those of other faiths in a vain attempt to somehow take us beyond the path to Buddhahood. Buddhists all attain avaivartika, so please concentrate on the declining numbers of your own flock and refrain from posting on other faiths religious material.

Why would we as Buddhists want to follow the path of Jesus? He who allegedly is the son of god. More so, why would you follow this god? He who according to your scripture is a jealous god, created the heavens, the angels and lucifer, therefore creating sin himself, but yet punishes you for the sin it created.

Why do we (creations of one God) have different perceptions of what has created us, and how that being/entity would have us to live? is it the variety of opinion that He likes, the complete uniquity of each individual? Certainly it is impossible for two people to have the exact same perception of the universe and how it came to be. But, the thought that there is an entity/being with infinite power is widely accepted. But the difference in belief is caused by the conditions and mindsets of the individuals who practice their beliefs. There is also the belief that there is no Creator or unbelief, which combines all religions against one idea...that this is just a random coincidence and everything is purely circumstancial. If someone was to believe that there was no God then every portrayal of God would become meaningless to that individual. A man made of matter who believes that the matter itself formed into something living and eventually evolved into what we call humanity. Even if life were somehow capable of forming on its own how would it sustain itself and reproduce? The faith it takes to believe that there is not a creator is astounding, especially when we consider the evidence God has left for us to observe. For example, the tick considered by most to be a useless pest, but to those who seek understanding it is a gift of knowledge. Most people see the tick as an arachnid that feeds solely on the blood of living creatures, but look into the matter no further. The ticks very existence is dependent upon other living beings, thus ticks were created precisely when all other creatures were. A creature that physically is detrimental to all things living, yet if pondered upon can grant understanding that cannot be matched. The point im getting at is that there are really only two things you can believe on this earth, one: that this is random two: we were created by a being greater than ourselves.
My God is your God and yours is mine, He is not to be claimed by one culture or religion but to be shared with all.

we are responsible for our own action by ourselves.not by others. the actions of mind or , verbal, or physical,. if you want to be a god and to go to heaven and to be a god, you have to collect the suitable merits, if you want to become a brahma you have to earn a suitable samaadhi (concentration) . if you want to be a humanbeing on your next life you have to follow that pathways. no one can make you a god, humanbeing, or a brahma. aswell, the sins you do, will take you to hell or one of 4 hells. load buddha only showed the pathway to release form all sufferings, no body can take one anywhere.

You will find the way of Jesus inside yourself as Buddha did also. .May the truth bring light to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear and the heart to know.
