the clip at 5:12 is still by far one of my topmost favorites of yoonmin. how yoongi instinctively protected jimin, asking him to go behind with the subtle hand gesture and standing in front of him, too. iirc, it was when jimin was getting a lot of hate comments and threats, and yoongi just wanted to protect his baby :( i love their dynamics so much. they tease each other a lot, but when it comes down to it they protect and encourage each other the most too. yoongi saying jimin's voice is his favorite, saying he likes jimin's voice in front of jimin himself, yoongi telling jimin to be PM in the production of BE so he can grow more as an artist. i love them so much.
What I see is Yoongi wants to mentor Jimin to grow into a better and more impressive version of himself, to fulfill his potential. Yoongi has a way of accepting people unconditionally and he really admires and respects Jimin's work ethic. Yoongi is the one who told Jimin to be the A/R PM for the new album BE. Yoongi loves music so much that he wants Jimin to flourish musically also. Love the mentorship and care.
