Perhaps why he didn't say much about Jin's actions after he was rescued in castle Kanda, he didn't acutally punish Jin until the battle of castle shimura, where Jin's actions were out in the open right in front of the Shogun's right hand members.
thats actually what bushido was irl pretty much. The whole honor code thing was a way for japan to romanticize their culture during the meji restoration. It was really about simping for your lord.

I'm glad this helped! Most of the conversations are subtle hints at various game mechanics, such as visiting shrines, following birds, hints of places to visit, etc. But the ones I subtitled here relate directly to the story and add a lot of cool context.
