Great video. Knock offs do work. All businesses move their production to China when they truly want to make money and have investors. The swimbait market is niche and the people that truly want to quit their full time job that they don’t enjoy, will find a way to market their baits and produce off shore. Keeping big secrets isn’t a smart investment. Marketing in the fishing industry is Everything! Great job again with showing that a knock off will catch bass. No knock on the original products what so ever. Where there is a successful invention or product, there is competition.
Great video! Love that bait and the paint jobs you put on them. Great job out there. Some really nice catches! New subscriber here. Looking forward to more great content and adventures. Really enjoyed watching this. Keep up the good work. #G2GFishing rocks!!!
That really means a lot to me man. My whole goal is to make, paint, or use cool and interesting baits and try to get a few good fish to cooperate haha. If all goes as planned, my next video will using and insanely thick wake bait for smallies.
Thank ya! The 2nd bait I used was a dirty shad knock off I did a video on a while back. Here's a link to it. ua-cam.com/video/pZh95e5HGyg/v-deo.htmlsi=j6Zum2ctMkwBsRuY
Caught an 8 lb largemouth on the $24gold knock off tiny klash from ebay. Plus they give extra lips and tails for the real tiny klash they also have klash 9 knockoffs
The ones I used were smaller than the tiny klash but I didn't even realize it until now. I think the bait is 5.5. Inches and the tiny klash is 6.5 inches
yes they work just like the real thing IF THEY ARE CLEAR COATED THE RIGHT WAY ive used the real one, side by side in crankbait mode, to a knock off, it has almost the EXACT same action I order from Sugar also, good service.
That's cool to know. I tossed the 6.5 inch version this weekend and only had one come up a nip it. Cool to know they're on par or close to the original design as far as the action goes. Do you yet bigs one these?
How do you recommend to clear them? I usually use a UV resin on my one piece baits and a car clear coat for jointed baits since it is difficult not to get the UV resin in the hinges. The only issue I have found is that the car clear coat is not nearly as durable for me as the UV resin.
There is no comparison to the two they swim completely different and the glide isn’t nowhere close!! Plus the DRT suspends! Don’t get me wrong if you can catch them on a KO I am all for it, but you definitely get what you pay for not to mention the tiny klash is silent. You honestly cannot compare the two the only thing these two have in common is body shape!! Trust me I have five of the Knock offs that hang in my tackle room like I said before I am all for getting baits into peoples hands that they otherwise couldn’t afford but if you are going to use a knock off just know it’s the same as buying a ford escort g/t or a mustang GT I just hate seeing good baits get a bad rep because the KO doesn’t meet their expectations if you put both of them side by side and I have just sitting them in the water you could see obvious difference such as the body of the original TK is more narrow weighs about twice as much as the KO even the tails are thicker and made from better quality material and that also goes for the lips. I love the Tiny Klash and I really dislike the KO so don’t let the KO turn you away from the original baits out there on the market.
I totally get everything your saying. I typically buy the knock off and if I dig them buy the original versions and the more expensive versions are leagues above the knock offs. Some of the knock offs aren't even close the the OG versions. Like the dirty shad compared to the fish 30 acre dirty shad. The KO is smaller and only has 3 segments vs 4 on the 30 acre. They're fun to paint and do get bit though. Plus I'm not worried about losing them hahah.
I have a couple TK ko’s as well. Fun to paint, but the pegs on the back of the lip started to break after popping the lip out a few times and the lips from my TK’s wouldn’t even fit the ko’s. So out came the Gorilla Glue and the lip is in permanent now. The DRT tails do fit the ko’s, and are also softer than the tails that come with the ko’s. Definitely check out the weed guards available for the DRT TK!
Trash af don't buy knockoffs guys, real TK's retail for like 80 bucks and they are in stock on several websites all the time, no hate to this dood at all but imagine you create something and someone comes along and steals your idea and pumps out direct copies, just cause it happens in the industry all the time doesnt make it right, keep KO's out of the swimbait community if possible 💯
Hey Matt, again I really appreciate your response, I was wondering if you did any lure painting for viewers, and if so how can I contact you to discuss some work, I really do like the colors you use, but I know I don't have the skills to copy your work, let me know if you can help me again thanks !!!
I have a couple videos where I paint some baits. I usually just stick with semi simple patterns that anyone can do with some practice. Feel free to message me on my Facebook fishing page if your intrested in me oaintijg up some lures for ya! Happy to help anyway I can, buddy.
Nice content man! I have been really into these big body swimbaits too. They are so fun once you start catching on them.✌️✌️🎣
The bites on bigger swimbaits are insane. I absolutely love seeing them come out and smash them. Glad ya like the vids!
@@River_Savage I'm Hooked lol
Super cool video… silly dog was right in your fishing spot every time.
Good looking painted lures dude!
Thx bud. That dog had me nervous for a sec. No collar no owner and in the middle of nowhere. He was excited though hahaha.
Sweet river and cool paint on those. Do you remember what colorshift paint you used on the swimbait? Ty

@@hoosierrob3301 outstanding! An 8 lb bass in parts is like a unicorn hahah
Do you know if the DRT lips and tails work with these?
@realjeffgarrett not too sure about that. I just use the spares that come with each bait.
@@River_Savage How many different lips does it come with? The website says they come with eyes and tails but nothing about lips
@realjeffgarrett i believe they come with 2
@realjeffgarrett one lip, 3 diff tails, and 1 set of eyes.
@@River_Savage Appreciate the info 🙏🏼
What’s the large swimbait rod/reel set up?
I've been using an irod genesis jr swim with a 200 diawa tatula for swimbaits from 1-4 oz.
Is this the size of the tiny Klash or smaller than the tiny Klash
The ones I used were smaller than the tiny klash but I didn't even realize it until now. I think the bait is 5.5. Inches and the tiny klash is 6.5 inches
i'm going to order some now. the'll probably sell out. at least sugertit is a small company
Love dealing with sugartit. They keep a pretty good stock of these. I'm gonna have to order some more soon too.
I bought a tiny klash brand new to my door for 105. Just got it today and will go out in the morning to fish it.
Tha price is a steal man! Hope you get a giant on it!
@@River_Savage dream catchers fishing has them in stock a lot. Probably have more in stock right now!
Wanted to see if you are open to painting a few of these and selling them?
I might be game for that. Shoot me a message on Instagram or Facebook with what you're wanting and we'll go from there.
Awesome!
Thx bud

That's a good deal man!
