She lived an abundant, joyous life until age 80. 40 years of her life were "lived" well from a wheelchair/scooter. A medical error caused paralysis in her lower body. That didn't stop her from being a productive Homemaker. She was an inspiration to many. We attended many Prayer services believing for her healing. The Elders of our Church laid hands upon her One day God will make it clear. She used to wear my low heeled tap shoes on her feet, because they were comfortable. She didn't want to take the taps off, in case I wanted to tap again. When we were making funeral plans for Mom, my sister said she wanted to have Mom "Go to heaven with her tap shoes on". She'll be dancing on streets of gold. Thank you God for our beautiful, intelligent, creative, talented, humorous Mom. What joy she will experience in Eternity with Jesus. His light shone from her. This is Remembrance Day in Canada so I am agreeing with you regarding all those brave men and woman who fought in World War I, World War II and any other Wars that has been fought by a Canadian or any Canadian civilian who died as a result of the wars raging around them. I remember the effect REMEMBRANCE DAY had on me even as a little child, attending Remembrance Day Services on those Cold November mornings. Although I personally did not know of anyone who died, there was a special bond with those who fought for our freedom. I still have that bond to this day, lest we forget. Canadian John McCrae, physician and soldier wrote the famous poem, IN FLANDER'S FIELD. "Take up our quarrel with the foe: to you from failing hands we through the torch, be yours to hold it high If ye break faith with us who die we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders Fields." God bless you Daniel. This is Remembrance Day in Canada so I am agreeing with you regarding all those brave men and woman who fought in World War I, World War II and any other Wars that has been fought by a Canadian or any Canadian civilian who died as a result of the wars raging around them.
I remember the effect REMEMBRANCE DAY had on me even as a little child, attending Remembrance Day Services on those Cold November mornings. Although I personally did not know of anyone who died, there was a special bond with those who fought for our freedom. I still have that bond to this day, lest we forget.
Canadian John McCrae, physician and soldier wrote the famous poem, IN FLANDER'S FIELD.
"Take up our quarrel with the foe: to you from failing hands we through the torch, be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders Fields."
Thank you Jesus for these brave souls who truly laid down their lives fir their brothers and sisters.
