Simply an excellent take on this chapter. To take this chapter anyway but literally is to limit the power of God-an impossibility. 6 days of creation is 6 days of creation. Is it easier to forgive sins than to heal a man from an infirmity?
The sun and the moon standing still were simply an omen, meaning they probably did not stand still, but appeared in the sky at the same time (as sometimes we can see ourselves). This represented defeat at that time. My takeaway was that God hears man!
The Book of Jashar (also mentioned in 2 Samuel 1:18) was probably a collection of historical events put to music. Many parts of the Bible contain quotations from older books, songs, poems, and other spoken or written materials. Because God guided the writer of this book to select this material, his message comes with divine authority.
God fights for us we just need to trust Him fully. The enemy has nothing on God.
Thank you Brother for wonderful preaching....GOD bless you abundantly.

Good work, 2B. I'd love to see an in depth treatment of this chapter from a historical and archeological perspective. It's packed with information.

What about were it says (is it not this written in the book of Jasher? Why isn’t that book in the Bible???
There were books that were taken out from the Roman church I believe.
