I’m a Clemson fan that thinks that Saban is a great coach. I love his style which has a lot to do w Belichek and the Big Tuna. No nonesense tuff perfection. I love Dabo too but I still love the tuff old school style. Bryant Danny Ford were tough coaches too. I guess I am old school. I love it when coaches stick to their philosophy. I think Saban even dropped some of that due to Tua. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him jump back in. Last year the run was working against us and he probably wishes he would have pushed it harder. I look for Bama to run more this year. I know I don’t sound like a true Tiger fan. I am believe me. I want them to win however but I just love ground and pound football. I love the LSU Bama games where you didn’t know the QBs. Running backs were still winning the trophy. Just old I guess. I’m a Cowboy fan also. The only thing that I don't like about Nick Saban is his comments in an interview last year where he said that the FCS shouldn't be allowed to play the FBS because he doesn't like the idea of FBS teams trying to pad their records. That part didn't really affect my ire as much as when he tried to make FCS players seem less than, by saying it's not fair to FCS teams and they take big risks of getting hurt. The FCS is D1 football with fewer scholarships and less TV coverage and, that's where the difference ends. To stop inter-division games removes opportunities to student-athletes and funds to athletic programs and I just felt it was a pretty arrogant thing to say, especially from a guy with his record. Seriously, what does that guy care what teams downstream do? He's a perennial bowl attendant no matter what the results of inter-divisional games. The NCAA is a joke anyway, both divisions playoff systems are convoluted at best and the recruiting practice all but eliminates the FCS from becoming very competitive with the FBS, still why take the opportunity to try away from any "student" (Key Word) athlete.
