Literally done this on day 1 of driving Stagecoach.. nailed it every single time, just go slow and use your reference points and I found it suprisingly early, reverse slalom course also day 1 never touched a cone, nailed that.. I just finished day 2 of bus driver training and we got 2.5 hours of driving in each, lots of roundabouts , motorways duel carriageways. Never even touched a kerb ! Im loving the training so far can’t wait until we take the test
How did your test go?
@@decom8950 passed first time . 1 minor 💪💪 been at it 4 months now mate . Absolutely love the job it’s brilliant
Hi I know this a bit old now but been offered driver job for stagecoach subject to obvious theory etc. how hard the CPC case studies compared to theory and how hard is it coming from bus to car I’m overthinking stuff too much. Appreciate it.
@@Z1000sxGuy to be honest mate if you can pass the theory you can pass the CPC its very similar there’s an app the complete CPC study on the Apple Store I bought that and passed first time, Stagecoach will give you another app for the theory with the xtra bits you need for the bus side of it. Its bigger than the car one but it’s nothing to worry about they give you enough chances to pass. A lad I trained with failed theory 3 times passed 4th time , I’m pretty sure he didn’t study. But I studied passed first time 👌 good luck with everything mate , which location you going to
@@petercoyne8300 cheers very much appreciated I been practicing the theory and hazard on theory test pro they sent me so far got from 86 to 96% on theory and passed hazard loads. I got the complete CPC package and just seems rock hard some of em with driving hours and stuff so more revision needed. I was worried you only got 1 chance for theory and bus practical and gonna be leaving a decent job to go for this but I just think it’ll be a great job and a job for life. I’m going to be at Rawmarsh South Yorkshire.
this best way to pass the reversing excursive is when you 1st position, position slightly towards the left hand side secondly get out of the bus and see the cones behind, that will give you judgment of the situation behind your passed mine on second attempt.
@bradford carries
there are 3 ways to determine when to stop, mostly the cones at the start of the box is set to the length of your vehicle, also on the test there is a metre marker so it would be 15 metres, but mainly you use a reference point in your offside mirror I. E a marker light and when this is lined up with the yellow box you know the back of the vehicle is perfectly in the box every time :-))
i want to start but i couldn't find the way where i start. i mean is any instructors in bradford for bus lesson. plz hlp
@@Bipul_Chanda--Page apply for Stagecoach they pay for everything 💪
hey guys please share your mistake where you have failed the test, it helps other people to avoid those mistakes,
Being a tractor trailer driver for me this is peanuts
Would you not use your hazard light when reversing?
I like your accent.
Hi, I have just cat B on my licence, when I pass cat D, I will receive any other category on my licence?
i will be doing this tomorrow grrrrrr!
How did it go?
This is easly but dubai is very tuff driving test
How to know the exact position of the bus back side through the mirror
I didn't know there was a barrier on the reverse for a PCV test
I really like this video
How long is the bus used? I practised on a 12m.
I know I'm 4 years late, but...
Cones don't look like they're set up correctly, mainly B and C (might just be the angle of the camera).
And the yellow box mat should be the other way round
The yellow box mat is the correct way round.
May I ask if the coach in the training video has a ultrasonic radar fitted at the back or reversing camera . Are these allowed in training? Will ,Dublin, Ireland
WMOCONNOR Not for mine.
A reverse assistant? Do not rely on technology. You may drive a vehicle without it and have little experience as a result
@ WMOCONNOR No radar, no reversing camera just a simple ice lolly stick attached to the back of the offside mudguard to get you in line with that last cone. Bingo! Take a look at 1.43
good luck :-))
I like bus driving
I like driving a bus
does any kind soul have an idea of the measurements for the cones if I was to do this in a 16seater minibus? i'd like to practice this without having to pay a small fortune..!
cones at the front one and a half times the vehicles width. middle pole in line with the left hand cone and twice the length of the vehicle away. cones you reverse into one and a half times the width of your vehicle and one times the length. Taken from page 263 of DVSA Guide to Driving Buses and Coaches.
Be different dimensions for a mini bus , it’s dependant on the bus size
I done this but my bus was 14m, unlike this short bus.
The buses I'm training on are a bit shorter at 12m
can they reversing camera in the bus ?
Inga Zinga No.
we do not do any of this in the United States
it's similar to Ally docking
and what do you there? and how is the test?
@S G They want a high standard of driving which will reduce the risk of injury and death. If a PCV holder cannot perform this menouvre then they shouldn't be on road around public.
@S G I did an extended car test - examiner knew this - passed on one attempt. Did the taxi test, passed first attempt, did the motorbike test, passed first attempt.
Your information is not correct. You may not be aware of the mistakes you are making (or the learner)
It's a pity, because you have children driving as young as 14 in some states, and shockingly high rates of fatal road traffic accidents, four times higher in the US than in the UK.
