I live in Dublin, Ireland and can confirm that this is 100% true. I think about it everyday. Before moving here i thought, clean air and less pollution will make me happy ( i know they are important) but after a few years abroad, these things dont matter much and all that matters is the sense of belongingness which we will only get in India. Our food, festivals, culture, religion - I miss a lot which i never thought i would when i lived in india. I am here for almost 6 years now and realised what made me move abroad is simply not worth it. Cant wait to move back. Jai Hind ❤

I am a student in Canada and you are right. Here I myself had no job for 11 months and then for about 100 part time openings, there was a queue of over 700 students like me. And I totally agree that we students are now discussing potential growth of Indian economy over the western world. However I would also tell people coming here, there’s always a ray of hope. Focus on upskilling yourself and you can atleast stay competent in the market.

Me and my wife had a long discussion regarding this and both of us felt we are just living and earning here and strange feeling of sadness is within us. We both felt a sense of responsibility to contribute to our nation's growth and serve our country.
I have been living in US for last 10 years. I have been planning to leave US and come back to India in 2025. Since last 1 year, I have been wrapping up my finances and investment from US since Jan 2024. I have planned to wrap up my real estate, 401k, Stock investment and my business and by 2025 it will all done. I agree to some extent with your data/percentage as you discussed in your video regarding that why Indians are going back to India. The question is whether your data/percentage is really from a reliable source?.
The main reasons:
1. Student do not get sponsored jobs therefore cannot have their visa extension and have to leave the country.
2. There are few companies who do not want to sponsor foreign workers due to high cost in visa fees and sponsorship.
3. Countries have focused on their local labour market.
4. Visa or Sponsorship condition of minimum threshold of salary slab which may foreign student/workers do not meet the criteria when they go through the point based system.
5. Tech/IT sector job layoffs due to low demand and supply and less profit.
6. H-1B visa most of the Indians prefer but they struggle later to get their visa extension and there after GREEN CARD/ILR filing.
There are many more. Happy to discuss.
7. Salary and standard of living comparison. I bet you. You might not get in India. You might get cheap labour like domestic help, driver, cook and etc.

England is giving 2000 visas to Indian doctors of all specialties to come and work here in England. Israel is giving visas to Indian skilled workers. Why Indians they are hard workers do more than their fair share, easy to work with and getting along with everybody. My experience US engineers were asked to work on some Saturdays to finish project they refused while Indian engineers gladly came and finished the project.

Agreed. Highly skilled Indians aren't coming back. I have cousins in Germany and Australia.. all have set up their successful businesses there and they even want to look here. I, as a female, want to leave this country for safety reasons... And the kind of mindset our society has.

I live in Edmonton, Canada and its been about 5 years. Its very true that some people are moving back while some others are also looking ways to go back. Excessive high cost of living and numerous taxes are forcing people to move back. Salaries hike nahi hoti yaha. Inflation has taken over everything. To do business or to get employed, india simply looks a better place than many other countries.
After completing my bachelor's degree in Deutschland I will come back after 3 yrs ❤

I fully disagree with the cost of living argument. I have been watching the economy inflate every year I visit. Indians in India are earning in rupees but spending in dollars. On a one to one comparison, Bangalore is 80% of the expense of San Jose in California. Delhi is even worse where people buy apartments for the price of single family home in US Silicon valley. But salaries are not that high. Bangalore still pays only 50% of US Silicon valley. So people are just borrowing to oblivion. You can see how savings have gone down in India.
