@@miguelrodrigoelpos6254 because the movie was never meant to be a documentary, but entertainment. It's called Creative License. I just watched it now, and it was alright. At least people are now going to be invested and search for what truly happened.
"Merciful treatment of people who are psychiatric cases who commit crime." It is very hard to give merciful treatment to someone who did not show mercy to 57 innocent lives. The Catholic priest believed in occultism, that his mother would be cured if he killed people.
Nope. It was correct.. if you search the current laws, if a person was proven to be mentally ill during the time of crime, he was innocent during those moments.
@@alinocencio1798 what you said, does not make sense. well i am not adept when it comes to the law. But I can say that the Philippine law does not apply to Father Mallari's crimes. The Philippine law was established on 1935, while his crimes spans from 1816 to 1826. At this time we were under the governance of spain. You can say, he can use the spanish law at this time. But before the revised spanish constitution on 1978, crimes such as murder, and sometimes robbery receives capital punishment like garroting, fire squad and guillotine. Being mentally ill or demented does not excuse someone in receiving the consequences of their action during this time.
@@foodie4635yes, i believe your observations are agreeable but, don't you know that the philippine revised penal code is just a copy of spanish kodigo penal?
the movie could have had better effects or just omit them totally, but the story was very intriguing. there is no excuse for someone killing 50 people, even if they were mentally ill, standing up for what he did just seems kind of retarded. Mallari was clearly a predator taking advantage of his disguise as a father, and its even disgusting to be still calling him father at all.
That’s demonic possession… mental health is false.. unbiblical.. you don’t fast and pray… and go to Confession and receive Holy Communion you can be possessed.. This is about time to teach the Catholic Truth of deliverance prayers and exorcism..
yeah i agree and sana nag voice over na lang then may mga slides na sana related sa mga topic na sasabihin nya para mavisualize ng mga nanunuod yung kwento nya kase kung wala makkita lang muka nya habang nagsasalita nakakaboring at nakakadistract .
I got bored with the narration so i’ll comment nlang… I’m hoping Dennis Trillo’s series would turn out good… madami nagsasabi panget yung movie ni Piolo but I disagree! The movie was made into a fictional one.. totoong serial killer na pari si Fr Mallari and totoong ginawa niya yun to save his mother na that time he believed minamaligno. But then the writers of the movie twisted it a lot to make it into a horror movie and hindi na siya based on facts kaya pinasukan na ng mga story ng aswang! If u watch it as horror film alone u would appreciate it kasi maganda naman tlga pagka gawa, sana hindi nlang nila ksi ginamit yung pangalan ni Mallari sana gnwa nlang nila “inspired by true events” then change the names... I hope Trillo’s series would depict all factual sides this time and I’m excited!
Aside from several glaring errors, both the journalist & the historian err in conflating 21st Century criminal justice concepts with early-19th Century norms. The idea that he would have been sent to Spain for his issues is absurd. It would never have happened even for a pure criollo, much less a provincial indio. Poor video.
If may scarce ng data then why would say he is just a victim? Contradicting yan iniinterview nyo. Nakakairita. Playing safe. Lahat naman ng serial killers ay not in their right mind kung tituusin
Panung naging victim kahit me mental illness he choses to kill knowing na pari sya, taliwas agad yun sa adhikain nya kaya sya naging pari, ginusto nya rin pumatay at di nya napigilan dahil selfish yung reason nya para mabuhay yung mom nya need nya pumatay, He is conscious to what he did, is just like he needs to do it because of the belief his mom will heal by doing horrendous things. Sacrificing lives inorder to gain life. Stop sugar coating, either hes a victim or not let the documentary focuses on the factual things not to your opinion. Poor documentary btw.
that's why he's a victim also. He believes that doing serial killer would heal his mother's illness not knowing he also healed her by only a day by giving her human meat.

A reliable story from Rappler.
I'm here from Piolo Pascual's titled film "Mallari".
You said he was innocent. He was mentally sick, but never innocent proven by the 57 lives that he took. Using wrong word can change story. Be carefull
