- I received the new Norev's model Mercedes E500 W124 in 1/18 scale. I've decided to make the iconic AMG Aero 3 wheels.
I use Fusion 360 for 3d modeling.

I wish I had this much modeling skill. I recently started making rims and tires for my 1/18 scale rc drift car. None of my designs are even half as good as this.
You already have started!!! This is a huge step! Skills will come with time.
I’m not a great 3D modeler and with every new design I struggle 😅. But I always try to find the way even if it takes few months 😉 Keep going !!🤙

Great job :) I think that it's worth to consider doing another improvements to this model. For example front bumper needs to be replaced with more accurate one

@@NonStockModelCar Correct rims from Lorinser (Lorinser L0 etc) are appreciated for for example W124 "Tuning" from MCG (it has Lorinser bodykit but rims in them are far from perfect). I'm happy that I found your videos because your Alpina project is something about what I was also thinking (Improving models and creating custom bodykits). About Hammer W124 - I think that sourcing 3D model from Forza Horizon 5 would help a lot as devs did 3D scan of kit (on C124 and S124 which has AMG side trim - can be seen on video "1987 Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer Wagon: Six Liters Of Grocery-Smashing German Power" or on my channel where I shown 124s from Forza)

I’ve never thought about Forza 3D models for reference. Do you know if it’s possible to extract car models from the game? That would help a lot 😅 Because, it’s kind a difficult to make 3D parts from scratch.
@@NonStockModelCar I did fast research and it is possible to open and save 3D models from Forza. So far I managed to save AMG front bumper. I will try to check other parts and find the easiest ways of working with them :D

I know how to make decals but I don’t have white toner printer. It’s very expensive. Also, I’m not familiar with small scale.
But maybe, in one video, I will show how I make decals for my projects 😉
It's a shame that such a high-quality model as the 500E V8 has a 4-cylinder exhaust system. At least the rear silencer has double tailpipes, like on the 6 or 8 cylinder. The model car manufacturer could have done better, especially as a 500E. Otherwise, absolutely awesome conversion.
Agree 🤙 But I’m still very happy that now we have full opening E500!! I have also 5 Ottomobile models and their value over the years is insane!! Also, Norev makes different colours. That’s very cool!!

И зачем было менять те первые колеса ? Не пойму чем они хуже тех что напечатаны на принтере? И охота себе поддавать дурную работу!!! Да мне бы хоть без всех 4 колес раздобыть такую модель и я был бы счастлив!!!! Сколько я переделал всякого барахла( 1/24 и особенно 1/18) из блошиных рынков !! А тут новенькая машинка прямо из коробки ------ я бы её не то что не переделывал , я бы к ней лишний раз старался не прикасаться!! Настолько я обожаю такие крупные масштабы ! И особенно Мерседес и БМВ!!! Я где-то год назад с рук купил жигуль копейку 1/18 от ist mibels и носился с ней как дитя малое!! Так она мне зашла!!!! А тут прекрасный новенький мерс!!! Я бы просто прыгал от счастья!!!
Да, в том то и дело, что эта модель легко доступная. Поэтому, не сильно жалко было её переделывать. К тому же всё можно вернуть назад. Я специально сохраняю оригинальное крепление колёс. Также мне нравится, что Норевские модели легко модифицировать в отличии от Автоартовских. Я считаю, что не сильно изуродовал этот Е500 своими колёсами 😅
