I picked up Malice randomly from my library and I really wanted to like it but I thought it was actually so bad 😭 I was so tempted to dnf a couple times but I stuck it out so I could write a fair review (the pain). I thought the romance was so boring and toxic, I did not enjoy it at all. Alyce to me was very controlling and jealous when Aurora was getting excited about the prince that was coming that she believed would break her curse. They weren’t together, yet Alyce was pissed at Aurora for being excited about potentially breaking her curse. She was also so adamant that Aurora had ulterior motives, that she was just using Alyce for entertainment before she dropped her, assuming she was the one who stole all of Alyce’s savings. It was also frustrating when Aurora got mad at Alyce saying that their time together was the only break she got from having to deal with her curse but it’s all they talk about when the reality is Aurora was the one who asked Alyce for help to break the curse. I have a ton of other issues with the “romance,” writing (super repetitive and not great most of the time), and other things that I won’t get into because I don’t wanna think about this book anymore, but dang what a huge letdown for me 😞

Not fantasy, but sapphic! • Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend: Bridgerton but sapphic! I’m not a huge Bridgerton fan so didn’t love it but I know you are so it might be right up your alley. • Imogen, Obviously: YA and so sweet • Kiss Her Once for Me: Christmas!
If you want to read more sapphic fiction here are some authors: TJ Alexander, Robin Alexander, Jae, Meryl Wilsner, Karin Kallmaker, Harper Bliss, Lee Winters, Clare Lydon, and Lola Keeley.
I have some fantasy sapphic books recommendations! ‘Payback’s a Witch’ and ‘The Charms Way’ both by Lana Harper and ‘A Dark and Hollow Star’ from Ashley Shuttleworth. All three of them a five star read for me!
I HIGHLY recommend The Jasmine Throne (lesbians) and The Unbroken(lesbian and bisexual) for sapphic fantasy!
Amazing!! I’ll add both to my TBR 🏳️🌈📚🥰
