The Miller laboratory is interested in the mechanisms by which viral pathogens manipulate host cell signal transduction pathways. The laboratory primarily uses cytomegaloviruses to examine how the pathogens alter signaling pathways directed by G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) to facilitate robust replication in tissues important for host-host dissemination.
