I was definitely denied but I called the FEMA 800 # was on hold for about 1/2 hr the lady fixed it for me & now I’m eligible for tha $750 🙏🙏🙏✌🏼

& answered no to major damage but it was all resolved 🙏🙏🙏✌🏼

Why are y’all denying people that have asked for food vouchers food if they do not have damage to their house do y’all realize that they have spent everything they have on gas to run a generator to keep cool lots of people don’t have money anymore to replace all the food they lost they have kids that is not right Even if they don’t they have damage to their house or not Like me a senior all my food was runt every bit of it I am still without power I have no money to buy groceries because I have spent it all on gas

Check if Texas is offering emergency food share funding for people who lost food. They do that in declared disasters.

Question, shouldn’t the nonprofit Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) be held accountable for being without power for so long too?
For those interested, FEMA will not reimburse you for food you may have lost. Even though they ask on the application, they don't provide those types of reimbursements. There's also no individual assistance, only one person per household can apply, but you can list those who stay in the house on the application. If you had to stay in a hotel, you can be reimbursed for that, but you have to have the receipts. Otherwise, if you just stayed with family, you can't receive anything from them.
So they cant really help anyone ?
If I remember correctly, homeowner insurance pays for reimbursement of spoiled food. My last experience with Cat 3 hurricane I was happy with FEMA. They weren’t clearing debris or the like but they were present in neighborhood for help, gave out water, tarps etc. I also had good experience with insurance adjusters.
@@lorihamlin3604 obama gave us money after harvey and didnt have all the red tape . And a lot of ppl dont have homeowners insurance because we rent

People who pay taxes do not get help but people who does not pay taxes and foreign countries they get help right away you figure out that but when is time for elections how they change and promises things that never accomplished it

No assistance of FEMA whatsoever! We applied for the lost of refrigerated foods due to 5 days of power outages a big fallen tree, gas and our home insurance won't cover.
This reminded us during hurricane Harvey. We had damaged in our home and our insurance had estimated lower amount than our deductible. So we applied assistance with FEMA. A FEMA agent came and the first thing she asked when I opened the door if we have a cat. And yes, we do and it's declared in our FEMA application. She said she's allegic to them and couldn't even come in to inspect our house! Why were they sending people to check at the disaster area if they have severe allergies?🙄 A second FEMA agent came.. basically, we were declined coz our income bracket is above poverty line 🤔 smh

I have had two instances when i applied for FEMA relief. The first was when New Orleans was flooded following hurricane Katrina. I had to evacuate from New Orleans so i left my vehicle in front of my church Pastor's house. The vehicle was totaled in the flood. Because i did not live at the address where the vehicle was parked my claim was denied. My second application to FEMA was after hurricane Ida left me without electricity for ten days. For that instance i did receive relief assistance because my power outage did fall within the requirement of ten or more days without power.
What about the National Guard ?
People in Ukraine don’t have to do an application to get help.

Fema is there to process your application for assistance and then forward your applications to the sba. small business administration. THIS IS A LOAN. my mom worked processing applications/loans for the sba/fema
