    The salt is great, but let’s not forget the infamous line:
    “hey trib are u supposed to be someone?”
    Savage.

    Everyone should play whatever they want but I personally would prefer seeing a lot more unpopular (older) commanders you try to make work..also some wonky decks which are just more interesting to me than the best legends from recent sets. They are typically power houses which do to much for me.

      The numbers say otherwise for the majority of viewers but I can certainly try that and see.

    This channel and these videos made me love EDH. If it wasn’t for watching you play and seeing the cards you use I’d still be getting stomped in pods with more experienced commander players

    There's a big difference between OP and well-built. If someone just wants to durdle around forever then loses to someone with an actual game plan, that's their problem. You keep doing you and I'll keep watching!

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Рік тому +2

      Exactly. This is the conflation I see with “cEDH” all the time. Just because it’s a well built deck that’s designed to win that doesn’t make it cEDH. Same goes for decks in any power level.

    I play Emmara myself and I feel for that player's uphill battle of having to restart their field every 2 rounds.

    I for one appreciate the builds, yes theres overlap in played cards but that just because they work well. The mom player just sounds mad because he got off to a good start and then got beaten down by the group. I wonder if some kind of alternating between normal high power edh builds and maybe challenge builds where you take underpowered things and build them as best as possible could work? Not sure what your analytics says about those kind of things though. Regardless, love the content!

      The old commanders don’t get clicked on as much.

    Generous Patron is definitely a solid card! Truly goes off in Chevill, Bane of Monsters. It's a blessing that Toxrill doesn't have green mana, as well.

    I haven’t played MTGO for quite some time now, but I used to and seems that when loosing, some people just get salty because they didn’t win. Most have no idea about the effort it takes to make the decks, play, record, edit, post. I personally appreciate what you do T-Kai. ❤

    Skinner out of touch meme:
    ¿ Is it TribalKai playing well and commentating on things?
    No, it's the decks that are OP.
    I admit this Zimone & Dina seems quite good with the token generation and such (love that you went aristrocrats instead of BIG HOOF!).
    They got a bit of a point ... , but ... Against Elesh Norn "Mom" and Kenrith 5 colors goodstuff ?

    My brain hurts from their spelling skills. I am glad I can read "stupid". You make some pretty OP decks. But you also make decks you want with what you want. I am cool with it because unlike some content creators you do not just show your wins. I can respect you holding back for content. But you also just go balls to the walls and show what a deck can do. I bet salty boy there probably plays a lot of high decks and gets like this when he doesn't get what he wants. Just send him his chickie nuggies.

    • @tribalkai

      I can’t please everyone unfortunately. People say they don’t just want the new commanders all the time but that’s the stuff everyone clicks on, so it’s hard to know what to do.
      All I can do is what I think is fun and hope people join me for the ride really.

    I like your videos a lot. they are interesting.
    But the one issue i have is when you start making what could be considered "suboptimal" plays in fear of people scooping.
    That just removes a lot of the interest for me personally.
    It kind of makes the video moot. it goes from showing what a deck can do and just trying to make plays that lets content be made. which is sadly the issue with your opponents and not yourself. but that kills it for me pretty often.

    • @tribalkai
      @tribalkai  Рік тому +2

      Yeah there’s nothing I can do about that because if I make all the optimal plays people will just scoop. And then I get a bunch of complaints about all the scooping.
      Edit: I suppose I can just upload a whole recording session where I play my best and you just get what you get, scoops and all. Could see how that goes?

    • @Snuske10006

      @tribalkai  Рік тому

      Herein lies the problem. That’s two contradictory ideas in one tiny comment thread.
      I’m not going to go out of my way to get scoops but I have no control over what my opponents do.

    It’s kind of hilarious that the toxicity is everywhere in the casual edh scene . I had always heard it was Cedh that had toxic players . I have moved to 85% Cedh games ( not on mtgo) mostly because of the salt.
    Even with rule zero and power level conversations people just fail to miss the mark everytime and they get so salty and emotional over a very low pressure and intended to be fun game.
    At least with Cedh I know to expect the most powerful stuff to happen as early as possible and the feel bads are so much more rare.
