Being ET Canada they probably have interacted a lot. They have clearly had a few off camera fun and they just took it in front of the camera this time. I think this is one of those interviews where there are just a stream of interviewers and he sits there rotating through them. There are lots of actors that start to act a bit goofy with the later interviewers.

I am in season two now and it's such a great show. He is fantastic!!! It's like I want him to be in every scene. lol.
Me too I actually now skip scenes that he isn't in. My favourite episodes are the ones where it focuses entirely on Steve.
